I love it!!

9/9/2008 - Kristina Payne of OR, USA writes:

From the first time I used this product I noticed a difference. My skin glows! I've always had problem skin - breakouts etc...and I haven't had any issues resulting from using this product. I think the infomercial highlights the microderm abrasion product quite well - but what I have noticed is that the cleanser is an equally important product. I ran out while waiting for my next shipment and had to switch to a different cleanser - my skin immediately lost its glow (not shine) and looked dull. Once my youthful essence cleanser arrived - my youthful glow was back!:)

What a waste of money

7/28/2008 - Dawn of ma, usa writes:

I'm embarrassed to admit I bought this horrible thing. I thought Susan Lucci was being truthful, but celebrities don't necessarily make for a good product. My package arrived soaked - a jar leaked, the oils separated, leaving a goopy mess which worked like chunks all over my face. The kids tried it, too, and didn't like it. When I called to cancel all further orders, they asked me why I was cancelling, and I told them the stuff leaked all over inside the box, and they didn't offer me a credit or another package! They just wanted me to buy more crap! After insisting he cancel all further shipments, all the crap went in the trash. Spare yourself - save your money.

I hate the product

7/14/2008 - May Jean of London, United Kingdom writes:

I tried the product and after few weeks my face was full of whiteheads especially around my mouth on my chin and in between my upper lip and nose. Continued to use for another week in the hope they will dissapear but it made it worst. It's been 2 months now since i stopped using it. I am under acne treatment at the moment and my face is full of blemishes/scars. It is affecting my daily social life. I don't even want to go out with this face if possible. Total nightmare.

Bye Fine Lines

7/13/2008 - Susan of NJ, USA writes:

I have to say I am SO surprised at the lack of enthusiasm for this product! I love it. I saw changes in my skin after a week. I felt them right away. It is not expensive. I think you get your money's worth. Sometimes the sponges can come unglued after a time, but they are inexpensive to replace. Let them dry glue side up for 1 thing and don't be rough with them or your face and they last. I get at least a month out of each. I don't want to use them much longer than that. How long do you want to use the same sponge anyway? They offer a cleaner I have not used. But a build up of bacteria can cause an outbreak that takes months to clear up. For $3.00, Give me a new sponge. The moisturizer is light and works before bed and under make up so there is no need for a million different products. I love the face mist. I use it after workouts for an extra glow. It makes my skin so soft. My 2 boys love to spray it on their face. At 7 & 8 they have beautiful skin already, but they love how it feels. I am 41 and find it really helps diminish the fine lines that have begun to appear. My friends are all approaching their 40's and I plan on giving them this product with confidence they will love it as well. I also want to mention I have never had to return anything. I have never been charged for anything not purchased and customer service is good. I think it is worth a try, especially for women 35+.

Not worth the $

7/4/2008 - Janine of CA, USA writes:

This product was mediocre at best. It does leave your fact feeling nice a smooth after a treatment, but the results are equivalent to cheaper drug store microderm abrasions. The moisturizer actually caused my eyes to get very irritated and I had to eventually throw it away once I realized it was the culprit. The cost of the project was too much for what it was worth, and the monthly renewals of products were annoying. I would save my money next time and get a professional microderm abrasion.

Product out of Stock

5/2/2008 - Rita of Florida, USA writes:

I ordered this product on March 11, 2008. I inquired two 1/2 weeks later, my answer was: "Thank you for your e-mail. I apologize for the delay in your order. Unfortunately, the item(s) that you have attempted to order are temporarily out of stock. We currently do not have an expected date of restock at this time." Infomercials continue on tv.

Not Bad

4/23/2008 - Amanda of IL, United States writes:

I tried this product about a year ago. After the first use I was impressed on how soft my skin felt. My husband and I both really like this product. We use it once a week. I use it because it makes my skin soft and bright. My husband has oily skin and acne. He uses another product that helps with his acne but dries his face up. Youthful Essence helps restore the moisture in his face without putting on heavy lotion that clogs his pores. I didn't really see a difference in wrinkles but I'm only 27 and like I said earlier I only use it once a week. I would recommend this product if you want a better complexion. However if you want to get rid of your wrinkles I wouldn't waste my money.

I love it!

3/18/2008 - Ann of Maine, USA writes:

I had ordered this product before I knew this review page existed. I was quite hesitant about using the product and the results I would get after reading the other reviews. Much to my surprise, I love it. It does exactly what it states. My skin is smoother..a few small wrinkles are gone after 2 weeks. My skin is soft and supple. I haven't had any skin problems, as I noticed many others complained about. I would highly recommend it.

Common

3/1/2008 - Barbara of New Mexico, USA writes:

Product is a common exfoliator, nothing special. The vibrating wand was annoying - the sponge doesn't last long before coming unglued. Save your money and buy some St. Ives.

Pretty good

11/18/2007 - Cathy of Florida, USA writes:

I find when I use this frequently and as directed, my skin does look much softer and prettier. I did break out in the beginning, but followed the directions and it cleared up. After that, as long as I cleansed properly, I was break out free. Funny, never had that much as a teenager, just started in my late 40's - 50's when your skin is supposed to start drying out!

Celebrity Endorsed Duping

10/6/2007 - Jeanie of Florida, USA writes:

Does Susan Lucci not make enough money without adding her endorsement to something that has one of the highest level of hype that I have seen? This stuff is okay but the lies about taking years off the face are over the top. This is an exfoliator, end of story. Your skin will be smooth and your makeup will go on easier but you needn't pay that price for this type of result. Her name attached to it does not add a smidgeon of credibility to the claims. These Hollywood people in desperation of their eventual waning celebrity will do virtually anything to keep their flamboyant lifestyle which, unfortunately, includes the duping of the aging female public.

Not impressed...

9/11/2007 - Joni of Massachusetts, USA writes:

While cream may have it's benefits, I found it to be just as effective if rubbed gently with a circular motion with my fingers. Just as effective as the tool that only vibrates. The vitamin offer that came with the t.v. package was a nightmare to get out of once I received my first delivery. It took many attempts to stop them from unauthorized use of my credit card. Hope Susan realizes this and severs her ties with her product to their vitamins or sales tactics. A good product but the want could use a circular motion to provide ultimate results.

Crappy product

5/26/2007 - Alanna of Ohio, USA writes:

This product is not worth the $40. I didnt notice any difference what so ever. And beware that when you order it you automatically are signed up for their automatic shipping program which takes the $45.90 out of your account every month. Definately stick with the Neutrogena product instead.

Nothing special

3/25/2007 - Tami of Idaho, USA writes:

I finally broke down and purchased the youthful essence kit and have to say, after trying many other exfoliation / dermabrasion products, this is nothing special. Just a simple vibrating tool with a spongy removable head and a creamy / gritty cream that works as well as any other exfoliating cream - drugstore or department store. I am not sure how the vibration is supposed to mimic microdermabrasion as typically that would require rotation rather than just vibration. I guess because they tell you to move it in a circular motion, that qualifies? I will use the rest of the product but would definitely not purchase again. As mentioned previously in this forum, St. Ives or other low cost scrubs, including homemade from simple sugar and a good cream cleanser, work as well.

Not Bad

2/10/2007 - Kelly of Indiana, USA writes:

The product does get rid of dead skin and leaves the skin smooth. It feels like sand mixed with lotion and hurts a bit when rubbing against the skin. I ordered the kind with no scent because I didn't like the smell. You can use it without the tool and get the same effect. I prefer St. Ives Apricot scrub which I have used for years. Better price and works a bit better. Leaves the skin smoother.

No-go for acne prone skin

2/8/2007 - Sara of Texas, USA writes:

I was really excited to try this product and I actually DO like the sponge tool. Makes exfoliation a little easier. The creme is very thick with fine microbeads which feel great on your skin - but it feels very greasy made my face break out horribly. This is definitely NOT a good product for anyone with occasional breakouts - it really gave me fits. I still use the tool but have tossed out the creme and just use my favorite exfoliating scrub with it instead. After several weeks I do notice a slight reduction in fine lines and lighening of some dark spots that were developing (sun damage.) However, I do think you could get the same results with a much less expensive tool from the drugstore and a good exfoliating scrub of your choice.

I tried this product for approx 3 weeks, I seen no difference and I felt it left mt face feeling greasy and shiny looking. I would advise not to order this.

Useless

11/11/2006 - Melissa of New York, USA writes:

I purchased this system because I hoped it would help fade my acne scars as it said it would in the infomercial. Nope, nada. Nothing happened. I get better exfoliation from my $2 St. Ives Apricot scrub. It doesn't rinse off easily, and when you buy it you're automatically on reorder for every sixty days. Don't bother.
