I bought this to replace a gass trimmer. It bogged down trying to trim around the flower bed, it bogged down trimming around the mail box, it bogged down when I tried to edge. If you have grass as fine and as thin as a bald guys hair buy it, but if you have normal grass get a corded or gas trimmer. I threw mine out after trying to use it 3 times.

The Worx GT is okay. I got mine this summer. I have experienced some problems with the string automatically coming out. The battery leaves a little to be desired because of charge holding time but I bought two batteries and I can get the job done. It sure bets pull starting a gas one and your arms vibrating around for an hour or so. It’s much more convenient than pulling around a cord also.

Puchased TWO batteries and one will not either fully charge or hold its charge. Cannot edge small yard in Denver even w/ two batteries. Will try to call and send this faulty one back as I've had it only 3 months.

Worst product in my shed. The new, fully charged battery last 7 minutes. Works very poorly and is actually tough to carry. It is light weight but it is all out front, and has no straps. Very disappointed.

This trimmer works pretty well over all. It is best suited for lite trimming where your mower can't get. For really thick stuff, it's a little under powered. For edging, I'd rather have a blade than a string. Battery life could be longer. Sometimes the line gets tangled around the spool under the cap, but usually feeds very well. If lite trimming is the chore, this unit fits the bill.

As a woman it's a dream. My yard has never looked better and I have over 1 1/2 acres. It's easy to use, the battery charges like promised (under 1 hour) adn I've never had any trouble whatsoever. I rave about it to all my friends and family.

I bought the WorksGT this past spring 07. The device works well for me. The yard already has a nice manicure and the WorksGT beats having to pull out my heavy gas powered noisy weed trimmer. I never expected this device to replace my old trimmer for certain cuts, but with my yard being as manicured as it is I'm buying a second one for my friend.

I was devastated after spending more than $130 on this product it worked ok the first time only. The battery does not charge correctly so now it sounds like it's dying and works very slowly. Unless you have an itty bitty yard with soft, thin grass, do not bother.

Used product for 5 weeks. Never had the power to do the job the 1st time. Had to repeat so job took twice as long. 18 volt battery model would run on after releasing handle. A waste of time and money! Returned unit.

I got one 3 weeks ago. It works fine and it edges nicely. Its not for going into to the deep stuff and getting that grass out. People need a nice yard with minimum trimming and u will be fine. I have a big yard and we have a huge gas powered trimmer for the side ditches but I love to grab my worxgt around the front and edge and trim around house and fence. Use commmon sense people when buying products. This one works for what it should work for. Electric trimmers are not for 2 acre yards with heavy trimming! overall good product.

I've had my Worx for one year and i am somewhat dissapointed. The spool cap keeps coming off, i asked for another one and they charged me over $7 for another cap. I thought the warranty was for 2 years. The cutting line does not feed like they say. THE LINE DOES replacement

It cost me $52.00 for a Free trial. Had to pay shipping when they sent this piece of [] to me AND when I sent it BACK. Absolutely NO power! I could have bought my [] that I now have with the shipping fees.

I purchased the Worx package and was very dissatisfied. The line was to little to trim the heavy grass I have in my back yard. The trim line would not come out as stated. 1 Hour time for battery is less when you are trimming heavy grass (1/2 Hour). Trimmer would need to have a dual line and thicker line to trim grass and weeds in my yard. Edger part did not work very well. If you have heavy grass or weeds, it will not trim it. Also to, the blower is not strong enough to blow most heavy objects. Concept is good. Like the adjustable wand and that the head will turn for trimming. But for heavy grass and weed trimming, stick with a gas or electric trimmer.

I bought two Worxgts on [] along with an extra battery I put my gas powered trimmer in storage and haven't used it in over a year. The only complaint I have is the worx doesn't have the agressive power a gas powered trimmer has when it comes to weeds with heavier stalks As for trimming around the front and back porch and the grass along my chainlink fence you can't beat the worxgt. As for the battery life, I just keep the spare battery on a charger and after an hour of trimming I just swap places replacing the one on the trimmer with the charged one. Beats mixing gas and oil anyday.I recommend the worgt for light trimming of grass. The only truthful infomercial I've ever watched!!

Bought the WORXGTB on 08/21/07. It has been used very little on a small yard. The information ad stated the warrantee was 2 years. One of the batteries will not take a charge. Their cust serv says the battery is warranteed for only 90 days. The cost for a new battery is $46.77. Beware!!

Just got the worxgt today and charged the battery for an hour and it appeared to work as advertised on the infomercial. If you have a manicured lawn and well taken care of the product is for you. Don't think it would do well in big stuff. I purchased the hedge trimmer as well and very impressed with it. The test will be the wear of the battery. Recommend the second battery.

I really like the info-mercial and decided that if it was as good as they said, it would be worth a try. I ordered it along with an extra battery. After completely charging both batteries, I began testing it. It seemed to work fine for a few minutes, but then the automatic feeder kept feeding out too much line and it began bogging it down. So I started cutting it with a knife when it got too long. The weeds I trimmed were around sapling trees, and were no more than a 3 inches high. It cut them ok for about 15 minutes, then the battery went completly dead. Same with the spare batter. After recharging both, I gave it another try. This time the spool continuously fed out too much line and even small weed patches bogged it down. The edging was not too effective and it drained the battery even quicker. Because of the constant problems, I returned it, and I could not in good conscience recommend it to anyone. Guys, especially the ones (like me) who are suckers for the new gadgets, stay away from the product. In the end, the only thing you will have gained is a headache and on the loss side about 20 buck to send it back.

I ordered the Worx GT with the extra battery on 7/9/2008. It shipped from CA on the 10th and got to my home on the 16th, not bad from CA to NY. I put it together that day and charged the first battery, it took about 1 hour 45 min. to charge, the second one took an hour. After I ran the first battery down in about 45 min. I charged it again, this time it charged in 45 min. It was easy to assemble and lighter than my 75 year old mothers corded trimmer. I trimmed around the flowers and sidewalk and it worked great, exactlly what I wanted it for. When I did hit some really thick grass that hadn't been trimmer all summer I could hear the motor bog a little so I just pulled back and hit it again and it worked fine. I have an uneven sidewalk and when I tried to use the edger by going forward I really couldn't push it so I just pulled it backwards, again it worked just fine. I'm glad I got it, now I don't need my heavy gas powered trimmer to trim around the house, I can use that for the thick grass and hay in the water runoff ditches around the driveway. My mother loves it due to the light weight and adjustable handles, and now my wife has a light weight trimmer to use instead of cutting by hand. Great product for what it is intended. If you read the manual and use it for what it was made for, you won't be disapointed.

I bought the WorxGT battery operated trimmer in early 2007. It worked great the first year. The charge didn't last long the first time I used it, but with subsequent recharges and use it would last about an hour. This year is another story. First, the spool started feeding line continuously. Thought maybe it was just the spool, so I tried 2 others, same problem (no issues getting the free spools shipped, by the way). Looks like the little spring that controls the spool feed may be wearing out - it's not easily accessible, either. Another problem this year is with the battery. It doesn't want to stay charged. Haven't given up on this completely, but I'm not hopeful.
