ripp off

3/10/2008 - gary of Oklahoma, USA writes:

This is very misleading infomercial. They make you think it is so simple, but it is not as simple as they lead you to believe. Before you even have a chance to look it over good Russ`s sales people are on the phone trying to talk you in to spending more money

A Business For Life

2/15/2008 - Theresa of Wisconsin, USA writes:

Being in Wisconsin, you have great summers, but you gotta put money away to get through winter. By the time winter hits, you hope to build on what you had left over. And I thought, I gotta do something now, the quiet times . . . I need to find something that makes extra money. And that’s why I chose this. The restaurant business is what I have done all my life. I have cooked for 26 years. I never decided to go to college because I couldn’t figure out what I wanted to do. I knew nothing about the note business. I read the books a couple of times and I could not figure out the note pricing, so I decided to take the Protege course to really learn about it. Once we started grading the notes as students, BOOM – the light bulb went on. When I went through the course, I knew I was going to make it in this business. The most valuable part of Protege was learning how to price a note on your own. That was my favorite part of the schooling – running those numbers. If I wouldn’t have had that course I would never have been where I am six months later. It benefited me 100%. I know what I am doing – I can call people and talk to them with confidence now. When I first started, it was hard for me to talk about notes because I didn’t really understand what I was talking about. Then I went through the course, and now I can call anybody. I call investors looking for other people to partner up with; I’ll talk to them. I don’t have a problem with talking to anyone anymore. I love this business. This is what I will do for the rest of my life. I am going to be an investor . . . eventually that’s where I will be.

Total Rip-off

1/17/2008 - Jane of South Carolina, USA writes:

The free leads they sent me were old and one of the two people who responded said he had be bombarded from offers just like mine. That shows that the leads were not exclusive. You have to invest more money on other junk. What they send is worthless. The people that buy notes want to buy them for a lot less than there value. They want you to buy more leads that are not cheap and are most likely sold over and over again. I paid for some "personal training" that was a joke and I lost a lot of money. Wish I had read the reviews before I ordered it. Has been an awful experience.

Questionable for the money

7/16/2007 - Jay of Michigan, USA writes:

I ordered this "system" on the trial-basis. I was unimpressed, overall, with the physical material I got for $120. A few small books, two CDs with alot rhetoric, and a propaghanda-like DVD. I think this is something that one CAN succeed, so don't get me wrong. However, this outfit is mostly out to milk you, not help you. They will call you and attempt to talk you into investing up to $10,000 to "really get your business started." I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING THIS. The website you can access as a member of the "Dalbey Education Institute" is very unimpressive. No real help or information whatsoever and it's full of grammactical errors even! One good thing, however, if you purchase the $120 kit and are serious about the business, they provide phone coaches who are experts and can answer your questions and you do not have to pay additionally for this service, as far as I'm aware. To summarize, there IS some useful information and guidance to be found in this product and the business opportunity is real. Whether it's worth $120, I'm not sure. But definitely, I would not recommend spending ANY more than that with this company. Do not even talk to their salesman (who they refer to as "mentors" or something like that). I think you could probably actually learn the techniques found in this series in books at your local library but you will have to guide yourself. The "note network" Dalbey Institute provides is useful if you undertake this business.

Waste of Money

6/21/2007 - Sheri of South Carolina, USA writes:

I purchased this product on a free shipping, money back guarantee, to view and decide for myself. I was sorely disappointed. The program was an extended commercial whose highlights were less than fruitful. The real information was to go down to your local courthouse and look up deeds of trust drawn by the average individual. The guideline in the book listed a mean that could be found of 15 or more in a two hour span. I found one that met the guidelines in my two hour test. The interesting part was the percentage of trust deeds that I went through and how many were available. If you applied yourself full time, the deeds could be perused within a week or two. The program promises much and continues to promise but you must invest more money into their program. You get nothing for the original $120 investment other than another series of infomercials and motivational garbage. Another example, a free gift of "finding notes fast" was sent. This was a computer download on CD that did absolutly nothing but tell me where my local deeds of trust were located. The physical address of the courthouse in my county. I knew that. It did also give me the address of any other courthouse I wanted to find but did not help me find deeds faster. The company also sends out a series of sales calls while you are reviewing their product that try to manipulate you into feeling as though you are one in a million picked for a special quest. If you let their deadlines go by, they extend them and you continue to be a sought after commodity. Needless to say, I sent the product back within the 30day timeframe and am now awaiting my refund which should have credited my account upon receipt several days ago.

Scam watch what you buy

5/21/2007 - Corey of California, USA writes:

I purchase this product and then the support. I got nothing from them but a run around. I did offer 12 lawsuits to fund, but nothing was ever funded. I ended up losing probably about $6,000 dollars. I also paid them to build a webiste, which was not built for over a year then when it was finally built it was not what we had agreed to. I ended up threatening to take them to court and finally got a refund on the web site. I am still in touch with the group who went to class with me. NO ONE has ever made a penny on this.

Not Worth Your Time

2/24/2007 - Hector of Florida, USA writes:

While it has some interesting information, it is NOT easy to follow and implement despite what the infomercial says. The folks at the company probably got tired of calling me to sell me on more expensive programs as I kept saying NO. I was very close to asking them that if they are so confident in their program, allow me to train with Russ for free and if I make money I will pay him double the program price they were pitching. This set of books is unfortunately collecting dust on my bookshelf. Oh well.

9/15/2006 - Joyce of Vermont, USA writes:

Bought the product and got a call. Talked me into Protege program and got more money from me. Still haven't made a dime. They want more money to train me at their location. No way!

I got nothing of value!

9/8/2006 - Anonymous of California, USA writes:

I got the products. they are absolute hype to buy more products. What a waste of tiem and money. Cannot believe no one put them out of business yet. They count on people being too busy to return the garbage and usless material they sent. Yet they bombarded me with phone calls and email to buy the upgrades etc.

It's a Scam

4/23/2006 - Denise of California, USA writes:

They say that you get leads by paying for more of their services. What you get is a softside book and a few DVD's, one of which is the infomercial. The clients you find are desperate individuals who loaned money to people that will never pay them back. Now why would I want to buy that note if I can not collect on it? The notes the other members put on their website are notes, that they don't want to buy either. They are nothing but a website provider/designer trying to sell their services to design one for you. You are not going to make money because you have a website. We finally got our money back, but not the shipping. I even sent it back FedEx so that I could prove that they received it (signature required) and they still tried to tell me the never got it back.
