MY FAVORITE GADGET!!!!

7/18/2008 - Anne of Ohio, USA writes:

I will not live without this product again!!! My first one lasted about a year until I tried to chopped pieces that I knew were too large to go through at one time. (Attachment ear broke off.) I whined enough about not having it around anymore that my husband/daughter repurchased one for me at Christmas. I use it many times per week. I really like using it to freeze the peppers, onions, and celery that would otherwise go to waste. If you don't have this chopper, you're missing out!!!

2 Chops

6/4/2008 - Monica of Mi, Usa writes:

I just found this ratings site today after hubby bought this I wanted to see before I opened the pack.1st I cant see why it wouldnt work even if the hinges did break(as I seen in some reviews)it would still fit together to chop and it chopped wonderfully for me today new.I cut an onion in half it took 2 chops for the entire thing.Nothing we have has been faster.I can see how mushy items may get stuck possibly but...blah...push them out they will still be cut up... for the price its great..

Not so great

4/27/2008 - Vikram of New Hampshire, USA writes:

The hinges break easily. One of the hinges broke one day after the purchase. The second hinge broke within 3 months. Now we cannot use it.

My favorite kitchen product

4/11/2008 - Charlene of Indiana, USA writes:

I got this for Christmas and I love, love, love it! I was hesitant to get one but then I found out our high school cafeteria uses them regularly. I use mine at least 2-3 times a week with no problems. It has held up and no parts have broken. I think how you hit the top of it might affect how it holds up. I use the palm of my hand to push it directly over the onion or whatever I am cutting. I highly recommend this product for ease of use, convenience and how quickly you can chop with it.

Lovin' it!!

4/10/2008 - Martha of Ky, USA writes:

I tend to stray away from a few main courses because of the chopping/dicing. I tell you I absolutely love my Chop Wizard. It saves me so much time in the kitchen. Sometimes I will have one of my kids "dice" the vegetables while I'm doing something else and they love helping now. I will admit, you sometimes have to put some elbow into it and you have to clean the grid before putting it in the dishwasher, but it has never failed me.

Works Great!

3/16/2008 - John of Arizona, USA writes:

I purchased this product about a year ago and have used it many times. The first time used, I did find it hard to press vegetables with skin intact. Resloved this by placing the skin side on the blade. Product came with a cleaning tool for the grooves inside the press. A quick rinse then into the dishwasher and it is clean. Good, time saving product.

Wanting replacement parts!

3/8/2008 - Charlie of New York, USA writes:

I've used this product and instantly was impressed. The chopper does everything it was advertised to do. After using it for about a year the ear/hinge broke off on the bottom unit. It would be great to be able to buy replacement parts instead of buying a whole new unit.

Works Great

3/8/2008 - ejhickey of Illinos, USA writes:

I was skeptical before I bought it but was hooked after trying once. It basically dices and makes two sizes, big and small. Works great on onioms , peppers, potatoes, carrots, even nuts. clean up takes a little more effort but the time saved on chopping stuff is worth it. I have purchased two more for

It was worthless for me

3/7/2008 - Jan of Oklahoma, USA writes:

I was so excited to buy this product as I loathe chopping onions...and I use them a lot in my cooking. First thing right out of the package I put a half an onion in it and the bottom container broke! In pieces. I see the other reviews and I would like to try it again, I just don't want to get burned. It's a great concept. I do wish they made it out of metal or something a bit sturdier. And yes, this was the original Vidalia Chopper sold on TV.

Pleasantly surprised

2/2/2008 - Lucy of Kentucky, USA writes:

After having to make 2 pots of chili for superbowl weekend, I decided to invest in this, hoping to be pleasantly surprised. I quartered 2 onions and a bell pepper, and was done in about 6 quick chops - which would have taken me 15 minutes by hand. Since chopping vegetables is my most avoided kitchen task, I'm really excited by this product. I usually don't buy TV products, but this one was a pleasant surprise.

It Works Great, I Love It!!!!

1/30/2008 - Nan of Alabama, USA writes:

The first time I used it, I had a hard time pressing down, I had it laying lengthwise in front of me like a minus sign and pressing down, but then I tried laying it in front of me like an I from top to bottom with the open end fartherest from me and Voila, It works like a dream, I love it and my family does too. I just wish it were able to make long french fries instead of short ones.

I'm a choppin' queen

1/28/2008 - jessica of Pennsylvania, USA writes:

What a great product! My boyfriend found one for 14 bucks and decided to give it a try. We love to make salsa, however it always turned into a night long event. But wait, that has all changed since we got the chopper! Did I mention breakfast? We make fantastic fried potatoes with omlets constructed of peppers, onions, mushrooms and anything else you can "chop". Yeah, you have to cut some things down. I usually quarter the large onions and potatoes. The key on the chopper is to clean it right after use, once the skin and veggie juice dries it can be hard to clean out. I just run mine under hot water and use the cleaning device to get in the grooves. It's no biggie. It just saves so much time, we love to get creative with different types of peppers and anything else we can get our hands on. I highly recomend the chopper to anyone who even does the slightest bit of cooking.

don't waste your money

1/25/2008 - Annie of Minnesota, USA writes:

I tried a boiled egg on this and it got completely stuck in the grid and on the part you push down. Then I tried an onion and it was very hard to press through. I have strong arms and hands and this thing is difficult. Also, very hard to clean - dishwasher did not completely clean the top.

A few extra seconds go a long way!

1/19/2008 - Lisa of Massachusetts, USA writes:

I bought this from a department store and I love it! Yes, I did find that I had to quarter my oninons before chopping, but the end result made the few extra seconds worth it. I could never get such a good presentation with my own knife.

Works Great!!!

12/29/2007 - Laura of Oklahoma, USA writes:

I was very surprised to find this product actually worked great!!! Thanks to Jim from Texas for the advice of letting the lid rest on the item and then putting pressure directly over the food item. Great advice. Yes, you do need to cut the item into sections, but it takes seconds to prepare and then a couple of seconds to allow the machine to do the rest. The cleaning item worked great also and took very little effort to clean. I did not produce one tear dicing the onion. Perfectly happy with this product.

IT BROKE

11/4/2007 - Richard of California, USA writes:

I like the way this product works and it does a good job, BUT the second time I used it, it broke. I tried to chop an 1/2 half an onion and just pushing down didn't do the job. I had to hit it hard and when I did one of the pegs that hold the top in place snapped off. They should have made the bottom out of the same plastic as the top which seems to be much stronger plastic. I am very dissapointed.

Works for Us

10/29/2007 - Gail of California, USA writes:

I bought this for my husband after he saw the infomercial. We have had it the better part of a year. We use it 2 to 3 times a week. I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy the plastic is. I think it is a little pricey for what it is. It is easier to use if large veggies are quartered before using. It makes nice salsa. It is a little hard to clean the grooves in the lid even with the cleaning tool. My method is to soak in hot water and then scrub with a brush under running water. Beware of add-ons and e-mail from ChopWizard if you order on their Web site. Mailing list removal did work.

Works great!

9/29/2007 - Jim of Texas, USA writes:

I bought this and it's everything it promises. I read some of the other reviews, and I think I know how to solve most peoples' problems with this item. Once you close the lid, let it rest on top of the item you wish to cut. Then press firmly directly above where the food is, and POOF, it goes right through.
