Decent mini food processor

1/8/2008 - Bret of Illinois, USA writes:

I've had the product for years and have used it for many different applications. The blade did get damaged once, from an apparent flaw. I contacted the company, talked to a real person immediately, and they sent a replacement promptly. Impressive customer service. As for the machine itself, there are some problems in that it takes a long time to grind some things and the quantity is obviously small. But it makes up for this by not taking much counter space, and there are lids for the containers that snap on for very convenient storage. No transfering necessary! I have enjoyed the product and would recommend it readily.

Good Product Maybe a Little Overpriced

12/14/2007 - Hank of Michigan, USA writes:

I have owned my Ultimate Chopper for about 2 years. After the first year I noticed that there was some rust on the blade which is supposed to be surgical stainless steel. I called and complained not expecting them to replace it being that it was a year old but within 2 weeks I received a replacement blade at not expense to me. The chopper works great for chopping ham for ham salad or chicken for chicken salad, nuts or any vegetable. It really does a good job for everything I've tried though I don't use it for chopping ice or anything too demanding.

Not Worth The Money

11/13/2007 - Emma of Illinois, USA writes:

I actually used this product for a while and it worked pretty well. My main complaint is that the dish very small so you can't make very much stuff. Also the dish is about 2" deep but the center hole where the blade goes is only about 1" deep, so if you puree something liquidy you can't take the blade out without it running out the middle. And do not try to pure hot soup in here because the plastic will warp. The main think is that you can get a better quality product that is larger for the same price or less at the store. Don't be fooled by their claims that this has more power or a better blade than anything else. That is just not true. p.s. I do like the free knife that came with mine.

Product is great, Company has problems

10/13/2007 - Candy of California, USA writes:

I have 3 Ultimate choppers in our household. a) One lost its rubber bumperguards (I had to replace myself, they sell those at LONG's DRUGS ,paste on type) b) The original blade broke apart (They replaced all immediately for all units), c) Then, there was a recall, see their website for info- (they sent a new machine for the unit that applied to recall) d) I ordered some extra bowls, and they sent another complete machine and charged me $90 instead of $20. It took 3 months (and 20 phine calls) to get the refund. Problems with the company! e) Also they advertise 750 watts, but the labels say 500 watts on some, and 600 watts on others, then they added a new label on the side that says 750 watts. So which is it? But the ULTIMATE CHOPPER works well whatever the truth of the details are. I use them all the time. There is only one speed, pulse it in single spurts with the control of your finger, you control the texture. Go too long and you have soup or powder! In spite of them taking forever to take care of the refund for their shipping error, I would still recommend this product. I have had other choppers, but I LOVE this one! They do stand behind their products, and by the way, my manual says they will replace the blades for life, does yours?

Great Product

10/4/2007 - Rick of Florida, USA writes:

I have had my Ultimate Chopper for over two years now and it has done everything that I could ask of it. Small enough to fit on the counter without getting in the way and easy to clean up. Very powerful.

I like it

9/23/2007 - Deatra of California, USA writes:

I bought my chopper about 3 years ago. I really like it. I use it for salsa and chicken salad mostly. I do notice a smell if I hold down the power lever, but the directions say to use a "pulse" action so that is my fault for not following the directions. My only significant complaint is I wish the bowl was a little bigger.

Great For Small Spaces

12/31/2006 - Nikki of Washington, USA writes:

My family purchased this product at a, local, general drug store, on sale. This product has been used Heavily for everything from homemade salsa to various sizes of fresh breadcrumbs to chipped ice for the kids' summer drinks to "flavored icies" to chopped cranberries for different salads and desserts to chopped nut butters to ground poultry or meat, the list is lengthy. It worked well until 3 months after we purchased it; some type of food particles got way down deep inside the 'push button' mechanism, which created a jamming effect, thus, we've never been able to push the button down to remove the bowl again for easy cleaning; however, we still use it, although not anywhere near as often, as washing it is extremely difficult and frustrating now; however, none of this effected the machine or its performance. And regarding replacement, no one can find the receipt (let alone, the fact that the store no longer sells this item).

Works for me

11/2/2006 - Susan of California, USA writes:

I purchased [] and haven't regretted it yet. So much power for a small appliance that it almost jumps off the counter! Haven't had any problems like others have stated. I use it to grind coffee, peanuts (into peanutbutter) and veggies so far. I love the smallness which makes it enjoyable to use often. I would recomend!

Buy Commercial Quality

1/26/2006 - Arthur of Massachussets, USA writes:

Purchased this and used it right away, worked great for about a week and a half, after that all the little rubber studs that hold the bowl still snapped off( and they chop up concrete?) then the thing shorted out and blew my CFI receptacle. I fixed the short(what's with the 850 megawatts, mine said 650 on the bottom)I stuck pieces of chair felt where the rubber bumpers were to hold the bowl, it worked but then the switch to turn it on stopped working, and I was noticing larger and larger cracks on the blade housing. After the switch broke I took it and threw it food an all into the trash. What a hunk of junk. Save your money and buy commercial quality.

Pretty good

12/10/2005 - Andrea of Illinois, USA writes:

I was so excited when I first got this. I used it right away and the blade broke! I thought, ok, well they replace it for free. Wrong...free yes, but you pay the S&H and it takes weeks to get. So I waited. And waited. I got the replacement blade and it seems to work fine, so perhaps the 1st blade was defective? My only complaint is cleaning...the plastic bowls retain onion and garlic smells, so order more than one bowl.
