I ordered the True Ceramic Pro a few months back and loved the way it straightened my hair, but after a couple of months it just stopped working---couldn't get it to turn on and the RESET button wouldn't work.... ordered ANOTHER one (stupid ME!) and the same thing happened, except after only about 6 USES!!! Aaaaarrrrgh!!! Don't waste your money on this product! I wish I'd checked reviews before purchasing, as MANY other people have had the SAME PROBLEM. Oops.

Seriously, if you are considering this product, please don't. Read the bad reviews and take them seriously! My mom bought one a few years ago and LOVED it. So she bought me one. Well, after a few months, it stopped working and was peeling. I called them because I was still under the warranty and they said they would send me a new one. Two months later, I hadn't received anything and called them again. They said that I was "supposed" to mail it to them and that all of their old customer service reps had been fired blah, blah blah.. So I mailed it in. Two more months later, nothing arrives. I filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau and I eventually received a replacement. Well, that one was working fine until a couple of months later and it stopped working as well. The only thing that would make it work was if I turned the cord a certain direction and held it there. How convenient is that!? My mom's straightener however still works. So if you read any GOOD reviews about it, consider when they purchased it. There is a lot of debate over whether or not the new management is what is causing these to be terrible products. Please don't take a risk with your money!

I've had my TCP for almost a year now, and it works amazing. I haven't had a single problem with it, I use it every day and it makes my hair sleek and smooth. The hair products that came with it work great as well, I have no idea why it's getting such low ratings! Theirs may be a different model, but mine is awesome.

I bought this product for my wife. She has used it for about 4 mo. now and it still works like the first day. After reading some of the reatings on this webpage I was a little worried about getting it for her. But like cars they will take care of you if you take care of them!! She thinks its a great product, I think it does a good job, and worth the money. Maybe the people that rate this product as being bad or not worth its $$, just don't know how to take care of what they own, or expect it to go through hell and back and make them look like models after trowing it around after the fifth time they used it??? Who knows? All in all, I give it a thumbs up, cause I like the way she looks when she uses it, and she likes it cause I straighten her hair for her.

I purchased a flat Iron and it has stopped working. I was very happy with it and for $134 it should work. I brought it in December and now it isn't working at all. Basically $134 has been gone. I do not pay $134 for an item to only work for 3 months, those other curl Irons you spoke so badly about lasted longer than that. Many of my friends were interested in purchasing one but because of this instant I don't think so. I called you customer service line and basically you told me that I am stuck with a item purchased by your org and it isn't working plus I paid $134 how can I get a replacement because for $134 it has to last longer than 3-4 months. I am hearing your infomercial which talks about throw away your old irons. That is basically totally wrong, I trusted in what you said and what you were saying.

I experienced the same outcome as others. I purchased this product 4 months ago and in Febuary it would not turn on at all. This product should be thrown in the garbage. It did work well when it came on.

I purchased the True Ceramic Pro in January and it was the best flat iron I have ever used. It made my hair feel soft and silky. The humidity never made my hair frizz after using the TCP (and we have a lot of humidity in Florida). I was very pleased with the TCP for two months. After two months, the TCP stopped working. The swivel cord lost connection and will not stay on. And what's worse is that the company will not stand behind their product. Also, two family members (that I recommended the product to) purchased the TCP and are both having the exact problem with theirs. I am very disappointed in the quality of the way this product was put together. I would never purchase another one and I would never recommend the purchase of one to anyone else.

I actually received the product as a gift from the company I work for. It came brand new with everything it says comes with it. I loved the product, it did everything it said it would from quick heating plates to straightening your hair without damaging it. Then about 3 months later when I went to use it it made a crackling noise when I turned it on and then smoke came from the on/off switch area. Now the product is completely dead and since I received it as a gift the company won't even replace it. Don't waste your money, it was a scam!

Do not buy this.... When I first received it, it did work as good as it said..but within a month it just stopped working. Like an Idoit i brought another one and it died within a month. They would not refund my money. This is a waste unless you are rich enough to buy one 130 bucks every month sue

I bought the one I had about 4 years ago and it was without a doubt GREAT, but....friends that have bought new ones,(in the last few years) have had nothings but PROBLEMS with theirs.when you compared mine and the "new ones" they were NOT THE SAME,the cords didn't even turn correctly and the coating was comming off on theirs. "they" had a great product and killed it with BADDDDD manufacturing!!! buy a ceramic iron from beauty supply, when mine died, that is what I had to do

Got mine in today and it was clearly a used unit. Not only used, but broken. The switch was broken off of it, product was dirty looking ect. Save your money. This company is a con!

This product is a hazard!!! Could have burnt my house down. Temperature control started smoking profusely and gave off a bad burning smell. Good thing it was not left unattended. Even though the product has a 6 month warranty Advanced Beauty Solutions won't honour it if you are not in their system. How can you be in their system if you have bought it somewhere else ie. []? I'll never buy one their products again. I should have checked the ratings before I bought it.

I Purchase mine about 3 months ago and Love it!! The greatest thing that I have ever purchased. I think that it was a little pricey, but it's worth it. After having curley hair all my 45 years.

I got the TCP about a year and a half ago. I use it everyday at the highest heat setting. I have really thick hair and it really works fast and good. I am not the only person who uses this straightener daily. It is still in perfect condition, heats up really fast, and straightens my hair like it did the first day i got it.

I got mine in 2004, use it everyday, and it works great! I use the wider 2 inch and it smooths out my hair perfectly. Even the hair lotions that were included were great.

I purchased this product from the infomercial. I loved how it worked but after about 3 weeks the ceramic coating started peeling off. I called and they sent me a new one. This one lasted about a month and just stopped working. Once again I called and they sent me another one. Worked great for about a month and the plastic control area fell off so I used a rubberband to hold it together which worked ok for awhile then the ceramic coating started peeling and the item just quit working altogether. I gave up after three. I ended up buying a different brand. The maxi-glide which works great.

10/15/2006 - Anonymous of Washington, USA writes:
I'm so suprised by all the bad reviews. I've had my ceramic pro for 3 years and it works great. Maybe it's because I got one when it first came out. Perhaps the quality has gone down in the manufacturing process. But mine works great, still like brand new.

I did not purchase the True Ceramic Pro online nor from the infomercial, I actually bought it at a beauty supply store. Everything you see on t.v. will eventually be sold in stores for half the price. The iron works for myself & my daughter, the only problem I have is when i turn it on, it won't stay on. So I have to keep messing with it so it will heat up.

this product sucks I don't feel it deserves any stars. I have been all over the internet searching for help about this product and I am shocked and amazed at how many people were scammed out of their money purchasing this item. I have read every complaint and comment and someone needs to do something. These people hurt a lot of innocent people and that is why as a customer you don't buy off t.v. and it is hard to get consumers to trust retailers because of products like this.

I ordered this product about a year and half ago. So far, the ceramic plates are intact. I don't use it everyday(about 3 times a week) because I have thin hair and there is just no way that heat will not damage your hair no matter how well you protect it. I really love this iron. It leaves my hair soft and shiny and I always get compliments. I ordered it because I saw some great reviews on it. About 6 months after I ordered it, 2 of my friends ordered it and told me theirs were defective. The paint chipped off the plates. I don't know what happened but it seems that something went wrong with this company. Now these irons are defective, people can't get good customer service. I really don't even know what to say. I guess i was just lucky that mine has worked well.
