Product Description
TrueCeramicPro is the multi-functional styler you've been waiting for! This incredible, new Infrared Ionic Styler straightens, curls, flips and more! Unlike cheap imitation irons, the moist ceramic heat of the TrueCeramicPro keeps your hair healthy and hydrated, locking in moisture and adding shine. TrueCeramicPro combines dual-sided baked ceramic plates with solid ceramic heaters - creating a consistent source of infrared heat that straightens and curls at the molecular level. At the same time, negative ions are emitted to seal the hair cuticle - locking in color, moisture and shine. Originally developed for the NASA space program, this ceramic heat technology is highly advanced and dramatically different than the ineffective copper coil heaters that are found on other popular thermal styling tools. The baked ceramic plates in the TrueCeramicPro are extremely durable and provide superior temperature performance. In addition, the ceramic conducts heat far more efficiently than any other material. Traditional metal heating systems dry out, damage and cause premature color fade in your hair. But ceramic technology generates a "moist" heat that will keep your hair hydrated and healthy.

Truth about the Ceramic Pro

1/5/2009 - Christina of Illinois, United States writes:

I'm very shocked that this product is still on the market. It is absolutely dangerous to sell this product as "true"; IT IS NOT CERAMIC AND IS COMPLETELY BOGUS. I had originally bought this back in 2005 when it initially came out. It DID work for maybe 3 or 4 months but then it stopped. I had to tie a hair tie around the cord to make it work because it only worked when the cord was maneuvered a certain way. Following that issue, the red plates began to PEEL AWAY revealing distinct (and quite burned) metal underneath! I'm sorry, "True" Tourmaline/Ceramic covered plates should NOT peel away. IT WAS PAINT! Given, when I called Customer Service they dutifully sent me out a new one with no problem; hell, I didn't even send the other one back but that turned out to be a good thing I guess because the new one stopped working within a week's time and yes, I was using the product properly. Cust. Service claimed it was the outlet so I tried every other outlet in my house and it still didn't work. I ended up going back to the burnt metal plates of the old one which (thankfully) stopped working about 4 months later. I have since owned "True" (and yes expensive), salon approved Ceramic irons and have noticed the difference significantly. It may be possible that since 2004 and all the complaints/lawsuit attempts that this particular product has been re-engineered or altered, but, I highly doubt it. This product puts itself in line with the more quality based lines (i.e. CHI, FHI, Sedu, Solia...) with its prices yet in actuality performs at the rate of cheap, drugstore sold products (i.e. Conair, Revlon, Vidal Sassoon...). It may work on the surface, but in essence it is damaging your hair worse beyond repair. All heating tools do yes, but this one which touts itself as a genuine product is nowhere near "genuine" in its performance with quality standards that the best of the best salons would refuse to use. Doesn't that say anything to anyone? That actual SALONS will use CHI'S in their business yet not even touch the TCP? That they'll tell you to use this product but won't use it themselves, even use it superficially on your hair? Invest your money in something reliable and not sold mass market (pay attention people, when have you ever walked into a Walmart or Walgreens or saw a CHI or FHI advertised on an INFOMERCIAL?!?!) and save your hair! My hair used to be thick and coarse; I used the TCP religiously for about 6 months and it has NEVER been the same. I did worse damage to my hair with hot combs and cheaper ceramic irons and yet, this thing made my hair "look" beautiful temporarily, but left everlasting horrific and negative results that I fear I will never escape! The infomercials even touted that this thing would make your hair healthier. Too bad I was 18 and stupid and didn't understand straighteners and what a true ceramic iron really is. For all the people that say it works, great for you, I'd say stop using it and find a quality assured one but for future customers, this product is DANGEROUS. Invest your money elsewhere!

WORKED WONDERS BUT DIDNT LAST!!

12/26/2008 - kesha of virginia, US writes:

My TCP worked wonders!! I ordered it online back in 2006. It's never been dropped or damaged in any way, but out of the blue and with no indication of any type of a problem, it just would'nt come on this morning. I really dont know what happend but when I contacted customer servie, I didnt get any answers! I was just refered to a website for the TCP warranty. This warranty does not disclose its expiration or if I actually qualify for a replacement flat iron. I paid alot of money for this product and I expect it to work as advertised. Its only been 2 years and I'm very disappointed! To those that have not experienced a problem (YET), dont bash us that have. You might be one of us tomorrow!

Product Works

10/26/2008 - Jeanne of CA, United States writes:

This is the only curling iron, flat iron or other styler that actually works on my very, very thick, wiry, frizzy hair. (I am in my 50s. Every hairdresser who has ever cut my hair says I have the thickest hair he/she has ever seen.) If left to dry on its own it is a cross between straw and a Brillo/SOS pad. This wand actually seals my hair, it stays straight and shiny. I have purchased and tried almost every other product of this type, so I know. I also have another product that claims to go from wet to straight more like damp to straight. It also works, but not as well. I hope the company will continue to make a quality product and not change manufacturing to inferior elements. The one I have works very well. Would buy again.

Doesn't LAST!!

10/7/2008 - rae of MN, USA writes:

Back in 2006 I ordered this iron and it didn't even turn on so I sent it back and the company did send me a new one. In Jan. 2008 the iron quit working.. and now the 1-800-901-5288 customer service number just gives a busy signal. I'm afraid the scam is TRUE! The product worked for me for only one year. Does anyone know of a close replacement?

DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ!

9/17/2008 - Lysa of FLORIDA, USA writes:

I owned 2 True Ceramic Pros for over almost 2 years. I have dropped them, left them on accidentally for hours, etc. Never had a problem! Not Once. I needed to contact customer service with a couple of questions, never had a problem! Not once. They answered the phone and my questions. The people complaining about this product are either idiots or did not follow the users instructions, etc. I almost forgot.... the TCP is great! I am amazed with the results every time I use it. Because of me, 3 people in my office, (including my boss) & 4 of my friends bought this product. Only one of them had a problem, and the company replaced the iron, right away, no problem. Worth every cent. So, don't believe the negative comments. those are the lies!

LOVE IT!!!

7/1/2008 - Angelica of Huntington, USA writes:

I have had my TCP for about four years and I love it. I watched the infomercial several times before deciding to spend that much money on it, but for me, it was well worth it! When I used other straighteners, my hair broke off and I had small hairs sticking up all over my head from them. I also couldn't get my hair completely straight...it was still frizzy. The TCP straightens my hair perfectly with very little effort and it's not frizzy nor does it break my hair. I love it.

This product is amazing!

6/30/2008 - Savannah of Nevada, U.S.A writes:

Well I bought the true ceramic pro about 4 or 5 years ago..Maybe longer than that. My mom saw it on a commercial one morning before school and decided to buy it. So she bought it and when she tried it on my hair (which is wavy and frizzy) it made my hair look amazingly straight, and it lasted for days withought looking greesy or nasty. She also tried it on my sisters hair (Very curly and frizzy) and the same thing came out as a result. Eventually I began using it on my own and I have had no problems with it..at ALL. And yes..I havn't really taken care of it the best as I should, as in dropping it a lot and wrapping the cord around it or leaving it plugged in, but the product is amazing and hasn't broken or stopped working or anything. Whenever I use this flat iron i always use heat protectors on my hair even though it has the ceramic plates just to be safe. And I do always clean it before and after use. My sister uses it too and shes never had problems with it either. Ive also noticed that whenever my friends come over and see me using it or they use it say that it is an amazing flat iron, and that they want one just like it. So i defiantly recommend it.

Great!!

5/13/2008 - Teresa of Georgia, USA writes:

I don't understand some of the reviews on this product. I have had my True Ceramic Pro for over 4 years with out one single problem. I take GOOD care of it. Clean it properly, never twist the cord and am careful not to drop it or be rough with it. It is absolutely the best hair straightener I have ever used. Worth every penny spent and it does exactly what the infomercial says. That is rare and I was also skeptical when I bought it. Thought it was just another flat iron. Wrong! I recommend it to everyone I know. Several friends have purchased one and love it as well.

Don't bother

3/21/2008 - Sabrina of CA, USA writes:

I bought my oldest daughter TCP four years ago, it is the only thing that ever straightened her hair and it still works, however I just bought another one and it is NOT THE SAME. It has a defective switch and customer service will give you the run around. Don't bother buying one. I don't believe they are manufactured by the same factory. Very disapointed.

I have had my true ceramic pro for 4 years and I love it! Although just recently I lost it somewhere, I will definately buy another one. My hair is crazy without it! I never had any issues with the product, it was great!

Not the best

2/9/2008 - Martha of Kentucky, USA writes:

I bought one for my teenage daughter for her birthday, but the switch went out about a year later. I figured she dropped it, so I bought her another as well as myself. It's about a year later and it seems like the switch on mine is going out (just like her old one). Seems like these are "disposable". It works really good, WHEN it works. Made my hair really soft. It does what it says, but they don't tell you they have an average year life span. Too much $$$$

true ceramic pro

1/10/2008 - rachel of Florida, USA writes:

I received one of these as a gift and not a month after the 6 month warranty was over, the damn this died. It also had the so called ceramic peeeling off the hot plates. These people are still hawking this thing and yes it does a great job, when it worked. You can't get ahold of the the webiste and the phone # never rings. All you get is a constant busy signal no matter what time of day or night you call any day of the weeks. With all the complaints I have recently read on this iron, they should be pulled off for fraudulent advertising. It is not a safe item or of any quality. I woulld love to see a class action lawsuit. when you add up all the sales they have made in just over the last year, it makes your head swim. Con artists and liers!!! All I wanted was another to replace my dead one but, it seems that everyone at that site is also dead and someone forgot to turn off the recording. Help all of us that have been taken in by this very deceptive merchant!!! Pass this on to whom ever you want.

great while it lasted

10/25/2007 - Toya of Maryland, USA writes:

I not going to say i wasn't satisfied with the product, because I was extremly satisfied. I used the iron on natural hair, and my hair turned out wonderful. It lasted for at least 2wks and the rain didn't bother my hair, like I usually get with having natural hair. The reason for me leaving this rating is because I want buyers to know that in my experience the iron will stop working for no reason at all, you will probably get a good year out of it, then thats it, it will just stop working. So consider that before making a purchase. Even though I enjoyed it while it lasted, I don't have $131 to throw away once a year.

great while THEY lasted

10/21/2007 - Lisa of West Virginia, USA writes:

My experience with the company was aweful. my 1st iron chipped away to the metal..when i was calling back they told me there was a recal and that they were getting all new irons. i waited and kept calling and then was told the company got took over with all new employees as well but they would get me a new one.suprise though it broke within a month!it doesnt turn on but every once in a while it will for some reason and then its great.the good thing is i only ended up making one payment and i guess the company was sick of me.i personally think the whole company is a scam that should be turned into the better buisness burue but im not doing it because then they might realize they didnt charge me enough.POS!

Good while it lasted...

10/14/2007 - Andrea of Florida, USA writes:

I just wanted to say that I loved my ceramic pro and it worked amazingly! I live in a very humid place and with my thick wavy hair it was hard to keep frizz free, so I purchased the Ceramic Pro and I loved how it made my hair feel and look, unfortunately that feeling only lasted about 8 months. Now i'm without my ceramic pro and I don't want to buy another one if it will only last 8 months.

Impressive!!

8/24/2007 - Anonymous of Ontario, Canada writes:

I had a True Ceramic Pro for about 2 years...I LOVED IT! The silky straight, super-smooth hair made me feel like I looked amazing. My hair never once felt fried, burnt or even slightly damaged...the straightener though for me was also faulty. In a period of two years, I had to have it replaced three times! (Which was easy to do with no hassles.) There are some kinks to be worked on with the flat iron, but I still recommend it. My two sisters-in-law have the same straightener, love it and luckily for them, theirs didn't have any technicial glitches. Any flat iron that is ceramic-plated (not ceramic-coated) will do a fabulous job on your hair without burning or damaging it.

Don't Waste Your Money

7/16/2007 - Anonymous of Arizona, USA writes:

I used it for 6 months and it worked, but then it broke! No more light, the off/on switch won't move, and the reset button doesn't change anything - nothing works anymore. It is absolutely not worth $150+!

Trueceramic....what? there's nothing true about it

7/12/2007 - Saracha of Florida, USA writes:

Well where should I begin. I have had the worst experience ever with this product!!!! This is an upscale scam, please don't waist your money!!! I have just finished paying for mine-july 2007(total-$186.15). When I purchased it off their website in Apr 2007, the promotion was a free 30 days trial for only $14.99-(shipping/handling). By the time I had processed my order, the total was $69.54. A big jump right!! As for the 30 days trial, it took 3 weeks before I got the product, so you do the math. But thats not the bad part. After using it only a few times, it stopped working!!! and I was still paying for it ($39.99 per month). It took me 3 weeks of calling before I was able to speak to consumer care agent and now their telling me that I cant get a refund. I have to first send them the iron before I can receive a replacement. Afer investing $186.15 in their worthless product, I now have to wait "god knows how long" before I can get another one!! I'm wondering what did I pay for? And the agents were soo rude and inconsiderate. The company feels no way responsible for their product and its inability to perform. I honestly can't say that it works because I have gotten a chance to experience it. I am highly dissapointed and would never recommend this product!!!!!

Don't buy this product. they don't stand behind their product!!
