I received the Tobi last week. I worried after reading the reviews but everything worked out fine in this case. Didn't like the shipping charge but it got here quickly. It assembled with a little confusion but it works great. I have steamed jackets, slacks, skirts and some golf shirts. The creaser works pretty well. No leaking and steam is constant. I am overall happy with it. There is some actual work required and I wonder if some of the problems are because people want "no work". Nothing is perfect but this thing has been a time saver and it's makes my least favorite job easier.

It appears to me that there is alot of operator problems from this product. I have used a garment steamer for the last 3 years for my husband's dress shirts and dress pants. I also use it for my clothing as well. I don't own a Tobi, mine is of a different brand. I do know somethings that are certain... garment steamers don't generally leak all over your floor like this one apparently dones. The steam should be continuous, apparently this one comes in spurts and the pole should be at a comfortable height to be able to hang a men's pair of pants without touching the floor. You should be able to do the yoke, steam a crease in the sleeves and the pants and get the collar too. If you can't do that with this product, find one that can because I did. My steamer is 4 years old and still going strong and it only cost me $40!

BUYER BEWARE!! CONS - garment pole too short - unit tips over and wobbles - difficult steaming the end/tip of fabric - shoulder strap is useful but electrical cord is too short to move around - takes 2-3 tries for wrinkles to be removed PROS - great for refreshing furniture and mattresses - great for refreshing recently starched clothing - great for removing lent from coats/furniture - steamer is great for lightweight fabrics but does not completely work as advertised WARNING Tobi may sell your contact information to other vendors (including last 4 digits of credit card number). I have called Tobi to ask that my information be (a) not distributed to their marketing partners or (b) removed completely from their database. They failed to meet either request. Now I'm stuck with telemarketers calling me all day!

This item is fantastic. I read all the reviews and went dizzy with all the contradictions. Problem is that my wife had purchased the item and the box was sitting right there in the kitchen. Each and every complaint that I read proved false for me. Mind you I have no agenda. I don't work for Tobi and I am not in the dry cleaning business. Actually I am a computer geek/guru and I guess that is it. I followed the DVD instructions to the letter and even double-checked my steps. The item built almost professionally with a solid feel. Lots of warning labels. Ours had a protective cloth over the hose. The length of hose, cord, and pole were fine. No leaks because I checked everything, there is a drain knob that people may have missed. Also the base is a bit heavy for stability. It is true that the wheels are not necessary but I kinda have to drag the thing around. We as intelligent adults have to slow down, read, have patience and stop complaining that things don't work right off the bat. Me I hate returning things and the bother of refunds. My motivation is there is a family event tomorrow and I can't bother with getting a new suit or dealing with the cleaners.

They clam:Use it risk-FREE for a full month If you do not agree that TOBI is the best investment you’ve made in personal grooming and appearance this year…. Or you are dissatisfied for any reason (or for no reason at all), just return the TOBI to us within 30 days for a full and prompt product refund. That way, you risk nothing. But you do they do not refund 100% they keep the shipping fee and they you have to pay to return the unit, so it cost 53.88 for them to ship to you they keep this $ they you also have to pay $20.00 to return, Note the unit a 1 out 5 Juck

First of all... I live in NYC, I work in the fashion world, and one thing about this thing is that its old news. This isn't "innovative technology." This isn't new or fresh. You can get a HANDHELD steamer from stores in the Garment District in NYC where fashion professionals normally get theirs. And guess what, they're anywhere between $50-$80. Why do I know this? Cause I own one and have been using them with every fashion label I've worked with. They're amazing, so, I'd much rather get a local one. Tobi is just another scheme to fool people into buying THEIR product so they can make their $20 profit extra from everyone who thinks its NEW.

Before purchasing this product, I was scared that it was one of these tv scams, that claim working and actually aren't. So, instead of purchasing from TV or Online, I saw it at Canadian Tire and bought it. In case if it doesnt work, I could return, and plus, there's no shopping !! Soo... I bought today, and surprisingly, it actually work pretty good.. Im really happy that it works, for a 100$, it's a great deal cuz it does save ur time.. It is not actually 5x faster, because u sometimes need to pass it a few times, but it is still faster.. I wonder why people say it doesnt work, cuz for me, it does !! The only thing I dont really like, water something leak. So I put at a clothes under the TOBI... You should try this product!!!

Customer service SUCKS and product doesn't work, placed my order on the internet and after reviwing all bad ratings I decided to cancel my order right away, but couldn't cancel it because customer service said that I should be calling during the weekday, and when I called during the weekday (Monday), I was told that my order has been sent to their warehouse and I wasn't able to cancel my order which has placed a day before on Sunday. The whole thing is a FRAUD and BEAWARE!

an inferior product. garment pole too short. unit tips over. no place for attachments. you can't hold fabric to steam to ends, such as cuffs. leaves fabric very damp, wrinkles set back in, and leaks alot of water. with shoulder strap, tank is unbalanced and leaks hot water on you. leaked water all over my mattress. there's a reason the iron is still here!

This steamer is 100% GARBAGE… SAVE OUR LANDFILLS and keep your money! Tobias needs to go back to design school. Remember qualities like being “watertight,” “stable,” and “some what effective” do count!! I also did not receive my portable “gift” steamer- Thank GOD ! !

I bought theTobi steamer, what a piece of crap. I took it right back. I had to iron the pants and shirts over and over again it took me 2 hrs to iron 6 shirts. I Took out my old fashioned iron and guess what, it took me half the time. don't believe that fat guy cause he's a fat liar. That is false advertising so don't buy its a scam.

This products works great. Works like a charm. It did what it said it would do. I almost did not buy this product because of the bad reviews people gave it. However, I am completely happy with it and now thinking maybe it is just operator problems.

UPDATE: I purchased the Tobi from the infomercial. I was very disappointed in the amount of steam and time it took to steam 1 child's dress shirt. I had to actually go over it again with my old fashioned iron to get the wrinkles out. I had to pay $30 in postage to return it and then was charged $29.95 by Tobi for shipping and handling that they dont refund. So i paid almost $60 in postage & handling on a product that doesnt work. When i called to see if i could get my postage fee back I was told no. I was also contacted by a Ramada Hotel sales telling me i was entered into a contest by Tobi when i told this sales person i would have to check with my husband about this vacation package they wanted me to purchase a manager got on the phone was very pleasant at first & when i insisted on speaking with my husband before i made a decision he was very rude hung up the phone on me i guess the 1st salesperson didnt hang up & i heard the manager yell to everyone not to call people from the Tobi list. So not only was i disatified with the customer service from Tobi i was also harrassed by there contest people and now out $60. for this money back guarantee product that doesnt perform as well as it does on t.v. w

what I found funny about the infomercial is they kept saying in over 100 years, ironing has not changed much. I'm thinking to myself, 'yeah, maybe that's because the venerable iron works just fine and doesn't need to be replaced by this gadget'

This is the biggest piece of crap I have ever purchased. Didn't remove wrinkles as promised, leaked, fell apart. I was so excited the day I got it I unwrapped it right away washed my sheer curtains hung them waited for them to dry and off I went to try my new toy. I felt soooooooo ripped off. This was my first purchase off of T.V. and I will NEVER make that mistake again

We bought the Tobi about 2 weeks ago at out local []. I found the stand was no sturdy and the water kept leaking out. I took it back to [] and found Ironing was much better.

I bought a Tobi, even though my research told me to beware. The first time I used it I was unimpressed. It did take out wrinkles, but it also PUT in wrinkles. The second time I used it, it leaked all over me, and the floor. I let it cool, boxed it up and returned it to the store. Do not recommend it.

I bought my Tobi from [] for 99.99. It comes with a DVD that shows some of the same footage as seen on tv, but from a different angle. You will notice a few things that are not as easy or good as on tv. You have to hold the clothing while passing the wand over the item, and you should not have the wand too low. This is impossible due to the height of the hanger, and also the fact that you cannot hold the bottom of the shirt and steam the bottom hem at the same time. So I steam the bottom hem free hand and straighten it after. It isn’t that great of a job it you are looking for the ironed look. It gives a lot of steam out, but only in bursts. It does pause and then you hear it start rumbling again for the next steam push out. It did a better job then the [] that I tried. But you will never get the hems and seams to have the pressed look without an iron. The attachments are OK, but it should have more attachments like other hand held steamers. They seem to only have cloth on the mind and not other things that you can clean with the correct attachments. I’m sticking with my hand held steamer and Iron and taking this Tobi back.

I can’t believe the That Fat Lying behind man can stand on television and just straight up lie and get away with. About this Sugar Honey Ice Tea of a product! This steamer seem like it was made for a child playing house. I only regret that I didn’t read up on this product before I purchase it. Oh and that customer service do they hirer anyone that speaks prefer English? Oh did I tell you about giving out your information to telemarketers so they can call you four and five times a day, I just moved here and more telemarketers have my number than my family and friends. Thanks a lot Tobi Steamer. That Fat Guy name should be Tobi because he’s just blowing a lot of steam out of his behind.
