I offer a warning, do not buy this product! I found a copy in a used bookstore and picked it up. (I don't tend to order over the phone) I can see why it was left at the store. First of all, as others have said the book wants you to use human growth hormones. This is a very bad idea. Such hormones can cause serious damage, and really will only ever increase your weight. This man is the worst kind of crook, he takes from those who are desperate. Do not buy this product. I am glad I bought it in a way that does not support this man.

I ordered the book and found it quite interesting, if not entirely useful. The first 70+ pages are just a retelling of the infomercial story of how Kevin Trudeau lost his weight. Look at a copy of the book in the library, and start about page 73. I can understand why he says celebrities, foreign heads-of-state, and billionaire's use these methods. They are the only ones who can afford the process. Start out by having 15 colonics (think "power enema") in the first 30 days. Most people don't have time enough, or money enough to have this done so frequently. I can't afford to take the time off from work to have this procedure done every other day. Also, my insurance won't cover the cost for more than one, and as uncomfortable as a colonic can feel to the body, they're even more uncomfortable to the wallet when you have to pay for it. Further, the twice daily injections of human growth hormone (HGH) are not only potentially painful and very expensive, recent studies have shown that HGH may do great damage to your body. If it was really safe, why would it be banned by every professional sports organization? To Mr. Trudeau's credit, there are a few good ideas in the book, but be sure you have lots of time and lots of money to spend on following the process. In the long run, it may be less expensive to hire a personal trainer and a personal dietician/chef. I'm not sure the book is really worth the price I paid.

I will be completing Phase 1 soon & I am trying to find the HCG and noticed that a couple medical websites stated that the hcg pill alternative that KT sells, should not be used and will not work. They say the injections are the only form of the hcg product that you should. I know this is silly but I don't think I can give myself injections or take injections everyday (A little scary!) so.... If anyone tried the hcg pill alternative and found success, I would love to hear about it. Good Luck to all!

Save your money. In the infomercial Kevin states he has the "natural cure" that we can learn about and lose that weight. All it takes is natural ingredients...blah blah blah. The first part of the book is a rehash of all his natural cure stuff and the second part involves buying hormones and injecting them in your body. HELLO! The ad doesn't say anything about using needles and injecting crap in my body. Yes, it's a natural hormone but should we be giving ourselves injections with a needle? I've had muscular injections when I was going through fertility treatment and it was painful. The shipping is outrageous at $9.99 so it's not worth your money/time to return it. Save your money!

You know folks, getting injections of a questionable drug doesn't seem in keeping with KT's organic fold method. And I'm not doing colon cleanses unless I have to go for my next colonoscopy. I skimmed through the book at a bookstore and found repetitious, badly written rhetoric. The basic information was contained in about 10-15 pages in the middle of the book, and some of it scared me. Best cure for weight loss? Take a walk for about 20-30 minutes a day, whether it be in your neighborhood or on a treadmill. You don't have to powerwalk, something I think is silly, just keep your body moving during that tiem. (Cheap/Free!) Don't go to fast food places - ever. (save $) Learn how to cook and eat fresh vegetables and fruits - better organic but wash well if not. Cut as much sugar out of your diet as you can. Believe it or not, after giving up sugar for a week, your body will stop craving it. Do not drink soda or sugary drinks. If you have to sweeten something, use something like Equal which has a low risk of adverse effects. If you drink alcohol, reduce the number you have each week - those drinks are empty calories. Consume 1200-1500 calories a day. 500 is just not good. The calories should be made up of healthy foods. Believe it or not, that amount of calories is twice as much food if you eat healthy food than it is if you eat junk. But allow yourself a treat once in awhile if you find yourself thinking about it. Once you've had that little treat, you can stop thinking about it and move on to more important things.

I have read the book "Weight Loss Cures" By Kevin Trudeau I have followed the guidlines that Kevin speaks about in the book, and have found a natural health practiner and have lost 30 lbs in two months. Plus, my blood pressure has finally be normalized, and my metbolism and tyroid has been normalized by going to a natural health doctor. This is the best I have felt in over 30 years. Thank you Kevin Trudeau for writing the book

the weight loss protocol is what trudeau calls phase 2. his phase one is good general advice you can chose to follow or not- junk food will make you fat again, overeating and chemicals in your food will make you fat and unhealthy again. i did this protocol in the 70's with my (italian) gynecologist in new york. 5 months 90 lbs. (2 cycles) kept it off easily ( since my metabolism re-adjusted with the protocol) almost 20 yrs. i gained a tremendous amount of weight in the last few yrs overeating intensely/ giving birth to twins etc. and am going to do this protocol again. please read dr. simeons '" pounds and inches" (easily found online in its entirety) and do it excatly as set forth by the dr. hCG only 125 IU daily (more than that can have an adverse effect) . get a check up and blood work done first as you may have health issues you may not even know about. (i had gall bladder issues after my pregnancy and took chinese herbs to fix- not surgery) many people do the protocol incorrectly then get upset when it doesn't work. THIS WORKS!!! good luck to all.

I read the book straight through. KT does repeat a lot of info so I just skipped the repeated parts. I have been researching hcg in the US and you can get it. It seems to run $100-$300. So what...I'll give up [] and other crap I spend money on to pay for it! You can order a colonics board for home use for around $285 and use it for life. As for organic fruits and veggies, I would'nt waste my money on non-organic loaded with chemicals for fast un-natural sizes. The point here is to be healthy not make excuses why you can't or won't help yourself!

I am so tired of the mis-information that I have seen about Kevin and this book. First of all HCG and HGH are two different things. HGH is human growth hormone and it is expensive, BUT HCG ( human chorionic gonadotropin)WHICH IS WHAT PHASE 2 OF THE PROGRAM CALLS FOR, IS RELATIVELY INEXPENSIVE. I bought mine for $60.00 including shipping. To all of those that want to loose weight stop complaining about why you can't and get creative!! We are in the information age and you can get HCG in literally just a few clicks. Phase 1 and the 60 things he recommends are his suggestions he even says if you can't do all things just do what you can! For instance I could not afford colonics so I just did my homemade enemas instead. Make a list of the things you can do you'll actually be suprised at what you'll be able to do with little effort. I have saved money on this protocol because in phase 2 I only eat 500 cal per day it has been 8 days and I have lost 8lbs. I don't have to worry about spending money on fast food and restaurants and the HCG stops me from feeling hungry. MY HAT'S OFF TO KEVIN; THANK YOU FOR GETTING THIS OUT TO MILLIONS OF PEOPLE. It is Dr. Simeons protocol but if I had not read Kevin's book I may have never known about the DR. or HCG. Keisha

I personally have done the shots he talks about in the book. I wasn't told to use the apecific diet, but, was promised the weight would start to "fall off". Well, it never did. I actually gained 18#'s and felt like a cow being fattened for slaughter! That wasn't the worst part. I only used this for about 3 months and towards the end of the 3 months I noticed my elbow was very sore and I was losing strength in the joint to the point of not being able to pick up a dish. then my shoulder began to ache and eventually I couldn't lift my arm any higher than my waist nor could I put my arm behind my back to hook my bra! The last horror was the day I couldn't lift my leg to go up a step. my joints were screaming in pain! I couldn't walk, I couldn't lift my left arm and my right arm was a mess from the elbow down. the doctor's advice? take a waterpill. HA! I stopped the shots immediately and have spent the last 3 years trying to rehabilitate my shoulder and hip. I will have lifelong repurcussions from that drug! so, be careful. Its not legal in the US for a reason.

I was not surprised to find so many mixed review. I can say that after struggling with my husbands high blood pressure and both of our weight gain that I approached this plan with an open mind. After my husband BP lowering pills prescribed by the Dr. didn't work and we were going to get a new prescription to try, I asked for a shot. I used KT book as a basis and we started phase 1. Doing all of the cleanses recommended, though some of the recommended therapies are not available in our rural area, reading package lables, changing our eating habits and the types of foods we eat we thus far have had success. My husbands BP is normal and he has lost 10lbs and I 5. So I am proceeding with changing our habits, and still keeping an open mind. Alot of what KT says may be construed as over the top. But the underlying fact is, if one takes even some of the advise in his book, you may find it sucessful.

I have tried for years to loose wieght. I started the protocol on 6/6/07 and I weighed 208.7. I lost 22lbs in 30 days. You dont have to do everything he suggest I just did the the injections and followed Dr. Simeons protocol. You have to be committed. I find it interesting all of the reveiws of people who never even tried the protocol. I can understand if you actually tried it and it didnt work. But not one person giving a negative review tried the protocol. You just read the book and gave up before even trying. I now weigh 187. Please do some research before giving up on yourself. Go to [] here you will find people who are currently doing this protocol with amazing results. Hcg is precribed in the US for fertility. Many drugs are prescribed for non conventional reasons. It is not illegal to do so. My daughter received prozac for weightloss and it is not approved for that use. There is so much misinfomation going around that many people who are desperate to loose weight are giving up before they acutally ask the questions based on bogus reviews.

Well I have been on phase 1 of this "cure" for 2 weeks and loving the organic experience. I have not lost any weight yet but I have found and ordered the HcG injections to start soon. It has been an expensive change to the organic , pills and teas, but I have also given up all the normal daily junk that I buy like coffe, donuts and candy ect.. It evens out and WOW , even if all else about it fails I will never go back to non-organic again. Even without the weight loss others have reported in phase 1 I feel better and am motivated. This is a no brainer for your health. The candida cleanse he suggests has actually worked and my sugar cravings are gone !! That alone was worth the price of the book. I am a RN and have no issues with using th HcG and hope to see real results soon.

If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. Kevin Trudeau relies on what people hear in his infomercial to sell this book. However, once you read the book, what he says is not what you read. This is not something everyone can do because it is cost prohibitive, and the people who need it the most cannot afford it. Also, he states in the infomercial that the supplement is something you can get anywhere and he does not sell it himself (because he can't). You can only get it online or from a Dr. who will agree to prescribe it (most of the time in a different state) and guess who sells an "alternative" online from his website? Right! Kevin Trudeau. I think there is truth in this book, but this book is more about Kevin Trudeau than about helping others. I think that he is "the pot calling the kettle black" because his accusations concern those who take advantage of the problems of others and he is doing the same thing by the way he misrepresents the "cure" in the infomercial compared to what is really in the book. It saddens me that so many people (myself included) will be taken advantage of and have their hopes dashed again by a man who portrays himself to be a victim (he portrays himself as a whistleblower and that all the powers that be are trying to stop him) and yet is victimizing those who are in need the most. I have researched much of the little info that he gives in the book. It probably will work in the end if you have a Dr. who will prescribe the hormone and the money to buy all organic food, providing that it is available in your area, and the extras that are recommended. However, for most people, it will be almost impossible for them to accomplish.

I was so excited to read my book, it took over 2 wks to get it, but I was soo excited, I started reading it and couldnt put it down until I started reading the same stuff over and over and over so I went straight to the phase 1 part, some are easy to do, but I live in South Texas, he suggests to stay out of the A/C... PLEASE... Not in South Texas... also, I work under Florescent lights, pretty difficult to stay away from those...BUT, I was so excited about this, that, I went on to Phase 2.... OMG... IMPOSSIBLE..how in the world does a person get 15 colon clensings in a month @ at least $150 a pop?? Not to mention a daily injection of the hCG daily, when it is not even availble... I called around to the Drs and was treated like a Crack patient looking for something illegal... KT talks about every other diet co. trying to get rich on us fat folks, but when you go to his web site, he is selling his stuff for enormous amounts of cash as well..... I am soooo disappointed, I thought I was on the road to some normalcy... only to be let down yet again.

I've read the book twice and I have determined that it is simply unrealistic for a common person to adopt all of the measures necessary to follow the instructions in the book. I believe it holds truths and it holds much to further investigate. To call it "the weight loss cure", in my opinion, will only set up the average american to yet another let down in their weight loss battle. It's sad that I spent the time and money I did.

I'm a big guy. As I get older, my lifestyle and love for food has packed it on. I've had ups and downs like most people. When I saw the infomercial with KT, I thought "What a bogus load of crap." Then I saw the book at my locall book store on sale, and I bought it. This guy tells the same story over and over again, just to fill pages. When he does get to the heart of the "cure" it's more hoops then any other diet I've tried. I do phase 1, I spend a $$$$$ going all organic. Most of the pounds I lost were in my wallet. I did lose some actually fat. I saw some promise, I tried to get this HCG stuff and couldn't. So I kept doing phase 1, my weight lose has plateaued and I'm still spending $$$$$. If Kevin was looking to help, or bring some new evidence to light that the "bad" gov't was suppressing, he should have come out with the honest, truthfull aspect of the "cure" before people spent their hard earned money on his book full of fluff.

At first I thought, "there is NO WAY" that I can do this. But then I remembered in the book where K.T. said do not get overwhelmed, take things slowly, add or subtract the things from phase 1 slowly and comfortable to your life style. I lost 40 lbs in 12 weeks on phase 1. I am almost ready to begin phase 2 with an HCG alternative (because the injections are not available in my area) My shape has changed and I went from a size 16 to a size 6 (without exercise!!) I did begin my exercise routine about a week ago.

The company claims the book has not been received in its corporate shipping facility. I have been tracking it as a lost package. By the time I find the book and ship it back with delivery confirmation, etc., I will have recovered about 1/2 the refund. By the way, the book is at [] for $17, more or less. A rip-off.
