The Bean is a piece of rubbery trash. DO NOT waste your money! I called to return the so called magnificent Bean and was told to "cut the emblem off of the Bean and mail it to us and throw out the Bean"...excuse me??? That is what I did....they don't even want the product back, it's that bad. Run...don't walk!

Hello I had brought the bean a while ago and it comes apart at the seems when you use it at least 4 to 5 times and the clear paper that they give you doesn't stick to the bean. So I had called and got it replaced. But that one did the same thing. They are giving false info and I don't think that it can hold up to 800lbs like the infomercial says. I woudn't recommend it to no one.

I purchased the Bean delux and the Flex 10 system about 6 months ago strictly to tone my body up. After only 7 useas the seams on the bean ripped and the little patches that they give with the bean did not work. I found this rather discomforting because i used the bean exactly as detailed in the guide. Furthermore i would'nt consider myself to be too big for the bean as i am a 5' 11" male weighing 205. Fortunately with the warranty that was provided with the purchase of the bean i got the bean replaced (though it took them six weeks to replace it). I now have been using the bean every day and find that the product to be poorly manufactured but geniusly designed. the workout with Lisa-Kay using the flex 10 system does tone up your abs, however i find myself re-inflating the bean everyday. Now that i have been using the bean for about a month, 5 times a week, i can say that the bean toned up my body, and did not cause any neck or back pain, in fact it helped to relive some back pain, but was not very good for overall weight loss. i had to put in alot of extra cardio work outs(running) in order to lose weight. Therefore to get real and satisfying results the bean should be used in conjunction with a diet and cardio excercise plan (ex. running daily). I recommened the bean for those who whish to simply tone up their body but not for anyone looking to lose more than 15 pounds; and not for anyone over 215 pounds as the seams may rip.

I used this product probably four or five times. I found it to be quite good, I only recently started to work out and try to get in shape so for my level I thought quite good. For someone at a intermediary or advanced level probably a waste of time. That said the quality is terrible, the seams ruptured after only 4 or 5 uses. I didn't even bother trying to get my money back I knew it would be a waste of time. I would recomen this to someone starting to get in shape if the quality were good, but because of the terrible quality I would have to say its is a waste of money.

This is actually the first product I've ever ordered from TV. I haven't used it that much mainly when I'm watching tv... I like it better then my work out ball.. it's easier to use. I haven't had problems with it going flat I've left the air in it since I've got it which was in March. I haven't actually watched the video to it yet to know how that is. Since I haven't used the product that much I'm giving it 4 stars 'cause there is always room for improvement. I haven't had problems with it yet but if for some reason I do I'll keep y'all updated.

The Bean is an excellent product, and a breakthrough in "exercise ball" exercise routines. That is essentially what it is, except fitted to your body! I have been using The Bean every single day for more than one month and there is a significant change in my entire body- arms, legs, tummy, everything! I have become much more toned- exactly what I wanted when I ordered this product. When following the Bean video (with Lisa Kay) the exercises can be done exactly the same on the deluxe as the original. Do whatever you will as long as you feel the burn, but are not in pain! The Bean is totally recommended. The only downside is that I first had the original Bean, a rip/hole formed at the seam, but I contacted the company and they INSTANTLY replaced my Bean with a brand-new, full set (with DVD, deluxe Bean, pump etc...). Very good customer service.

I recently got The Bean Delux and the Flex 10 Accessory and I am very pleased with it. I can feel "the burn" rather quickly when I do the ab exercises, expecially when I twist to the left and right when you rock. I am also very happy with the Flex 10 attachment that allows me to incorporate some strength training with my work out.

I got my bean the other day. I have tryed it several times and find it hard to follow the video using the deluxe model. I dont know if I should raise my head during crunches and actuallly hurt my back doing the pilates. I think the CD needs to be more done at a slower pace and should be used with the deluxe model since that is what you are now sending out. I still have not decided if I will keep this product our not.

With a torn disc in my lower back, the doctors told me I would never be pain free unless I exercise my back. I can’t say enough about how wonderful the Bean has been for my situation. It does everything the stability ball does and more. I have had no problem at all with the quality; I can keep it right in my living room to use while watching TV, and I can quickly move it to another room. I found that it is much better if it is blown up as far as possible for stability. I am 5’9 and 155 lbs. it seems to fit me like a glove. Do to the size of it I probably wouldn’t recommend it to anyone over 6’ tall or 200 lbs. I am constantly telling people about how this product has been a wonder for me! I see physical therapists using the Bean in the future, if they aren’t already!

UPDATE: This is my 4th week using the Bean each and every day...and the seams just won't hold. The quality of this piece of equipment gets an "F", failed grade. Love the design but the seams are so poor that I don't know who could not have seams burst during strenuous work. I couldn't get through the last workout a few minutes ago so I just said, "That's it, I'm sending it back!" Will not recommend The Bean becuase of this poor quality workmanship. I examined the seams up close while patching and they won't hold up for any weight of person for too long, so big guys can forget about it! The seams burst at such a difficult angle that patches don't work. Maybe a 100 lb. woman wouldn't stress the seams, but for everyone else...look elsewhere. Sorry Bean, you gotta do better than this! Cheaply manufactured in my expert opinion.

UPDATE: I use this equipment daily and I've got to add that you need to keep plenty of patches on hand. I'm about 219 lbs. and 6'3" and I actually perform the 30-minute workout daily...no days off. The seams just don't hold up for some reason. I've got 5 patches on The Bean right now and another repair job waiting after this morning's use. I am going to have to rate the quality right now as BELOW AVERAGE even though I rate the design as ABOVE AVERAGE. Hope that makes sense. I like the exercises and results...but man...keep those patches handy! One just isn't enough!

Ok, maybe not for the WHOLE family, but I really like it. It's pretty easy to use and can be done without having to watch the video. I am a sucker for infomercials and have bought about every workout on DVD that there is, this is by far my favorite! I got the Deluxe Bean and while some of the exercises in the video are difficult to do with the Deluxe bean (since I would assume that it's a lot bigger and I'm only 5'1) they can be modified to work just as well. My biggest gripe is that most of the workouts on the DVD are REALLY short (which can be both a plus and a minus).

I'm a big fan of this piece of equipment and the very-pleasing-on-the-eyes Lisa Kay. I also use The Bean as a weight bench when doing flys and presses, then deflate and store for the next day. Perfect for limited space workouts! Taller, muscular guys like myself, who don't have a woman's agile and flexible frame will face a learning curve when getting used to the rocking motion on some moves. Definately will throw you around at first. Stay with it. Takes about a week to get really comfortable with the movements. Especially for guys out there, every weight routine needs The Bean workout to cut visible definition out of mass. Mass without definition or "cut" just makes you look like a big, beefy wrestler while most guys I know would rather have the lean lifeguard look. Complainers who whine about inflate/deflate after every workout need to understand one thing...it ain't easy look'in good!

I think this product is a real joke. I think if you have never done a crunch before this is the product for you. But if you have ever engaged your abs before skip the bean! They advertise that they will "give you" the bean delux, which may be worse than the regular bean. You can't do a lot of the moves they do on the video because they are using the original bean. How convenient! And the icing on the cake is you get to inflate it everytime you use it because it's junk!

I first purchased the Bean in December after seeing the info with instructor Lisa Kay who I like. When it came I was disappointed to find the video was not what was on TV. I called and was told it was on backorder. I tried the Bean and found it uncomfortable and did not stay inflated. In Jan I caught the info. on TV and saw they have a deluxe Bean. I returned The orginial(which I have yet to see a credit for)and got the Deluxe Model. It came with the Lisa Kay DVD but was not changed from the old model and no instructions on how to do the crunches. Do I lift my head up or not? I'm not going to return it because I do like the Back and lower body workout. I didn't feel it my abs. Maybe if they update the dvd to match the product it will be more effective.
