I was so excited when I received my swivel sweeper. With two boys and two dogs I thought it would be my little helper for a long time. But I was wrong. It worked well for about three months and the battery would no longer hold a charge. I thought having a battery charger would solve the problem of having to purchase regular batteries. But the battery no longer works. I charge it and it will run for about 30 seconds and then that's it!! I really bummed!! I bought everyone one for Christmas too! I used to brag about it, and you'd think I was getting a commission on them. Now I'm upset because of the dead battery. With no battery, it's totally useless! Not worth the money unless you want to purchase one every 3 months.

Though the product appears to be cheaply made, it performed as advertised at first. After a few months, however, the battery doesn't charge as well, and you just don't have the power any more. The company tries to sell you extra batteries, and I now see why. I did not order extra batteries, and I'm stuck with less power. It always worked better on a bare floor, but it would work on small rugs. For example, initially, it worked pretty well on a small floor rug; now it will not pick up anything from it due to the lack of power. I think the concept is great; if it were made to higher quality standards, I think it would be a good product. As it is, you're really better off with a vaccum.

For about two weeks this product worked great, now it will only work when I'm holding it off the floor. Does not hold a charge very long at all.

We had the Swivel Sweeper about three months when it stopped working altogether. It had been operating ok up to that time. Since it was out of warranty, I took it apart to find out why it failed. The motor had frozen. I suspect that it is an underpowered motor. The product is not something I would purchase again.

The Swivel Sweeper does perform as advertised. I find it a great way to sweep floors between vacuums. It's a help cleaning in tight areas and under cabinets without much vertical space. Pet hair does get tangled in the brushes and have to be pulled out by hand. Okay, it's not perfect, but what is? Overall, it does a good job and I've found that it saves enough time and effort to be worth the money. I've purchased two of them. I would recommend buying a spare battery and charger so you'll always have a fully charged battery ready for use. It's probably a litte underpowered in term of battery capacity, but that second battery solves that problem.

I loved the product and even bought one for my mother. It works great for about 2 months and then the battery would not charge again. The same thing happened to my mother's and so I looked for a replacement on the internet. The battery is almost as much as the whole thing. And, I also read about many others who have the same problems. If they improve the battery, it's a good sweeper. I'd wait though.

I recently installed new wood floors. After watching the infomercial, I thought the Swivel Sweeper sounded like the perfect product for me and my new floors. Boy, was I wrong. I do have two pets but I thought the sweeper was supposed to pick everything up. That's what's stated in the infomercial. First of all, even though I pre-swept my floors to get up the big stuff (not that there was that much), the brushes were tangled in hair. I cut the hair out and continued to use it for about two weeks. Next, one of the brushes stopped spinning. I cleaned it thoroughly, re-charged it, and tried to use it again. ANOTHER brush stopped spinning. I can see no way to service it so I am waiting to hear from the company regarding a replacement or refund. Needless to say, I am disappointed in this product. It's now sitting in my closet.

When I first received the product I thought it was pretty nifty. What I especially liked was they way it turned 360 degrees and had a low profile to get under low furniture. What I was not crazy about was the way hair got tied up in it so easily making it hard to clean. Ultimately after only a few uses the battery would not hold a charge at all. Maybe I got a defective one, but between the cost of mailing it back, and the fact the company wanted an addition $9.95 to send it back to me, I just decided to toss it. Live and learn.

Worked well on pet hair and is great for quick pick ups. Not a full cleaning, but that is why is just a sweeper good job for the price I belive

This product is basic and mediocre for the price. The battery runs out pretty quickly, so you'll need to purchase a second one and keep it charged if you really want to get your use of the sweeper. It only worked on bare floors, not on carpet.

I have a host of debilitating illnesses which make it hard to lug out my regular vacuum. I decided to try the Swivel Sweeper. When I got it, I was skeptical. It did look rather flimsy.I use it on linolium and medium pile carpet. It has cleaned up cat hair, cereal, cat litter, dust, lint, little scraps of paper, crumbs, threads, pieces of leaves and, now at Christmas, pine needles. It is a pain to clan all of the brushes, but it is easier using a seam ripper to do that. The tray that holds the debris will pop off if you pick up the sweeper & drop it down on the floor. It is easy to empty & will run for about 30 minutes on 1 charge. It's so easy, my 2 & 4 yr old use it.

I really thought I had found a gem. It sounded good, swiveled to get into hard places, but just didn't deliver what the infomercial said it would. Thought it would be great for those in between cleanings and also great for stairs and picking up the hamster food spills. Tried several times to pick up longer dog hair - hair became wrapped up in the brushes and ran the battery power down. Wouldn't pick up tiny pieces of hamster food. Absolutely would not pick up anything on the stairs. I sent the sweeper back! Don't waste the money!

I bought one about 6 months ago. It is very weak and I only use it now as a sort of glorified dust pan. Even then you have to go over and over the pile of dirt before it picks it all up.

I have birds and a hardwood floor which require daily cleaning due to fallen seeds.. I bought a more expensive, larger cordless sweeper but was unhappy with its performance. After seeing the infomercial for the Swivel Sweeper I was impressed that it picked up moving in all directions and with its smaller size. Having bought it I am still impressed with those features. It does as it says, the seeds are all quickly picked up in an easy to empty tray. Items dumped into the tray stay there and do not bounce back out. The battery lasts for a long time, its light, easy to use and can fit in tight areas. The handle could be more rigid, it sometimes feels as though it would bend easy but you do not have to press down on the sweeper so it suffices. I would reccomend this sweeper for quick pick-ups between regular vacuuming.

I thought after seeing the infomercial I would try this product for fast clean up's. I'm so glad I did. This little vac picks up where my big and very expensive one won't. It even picked up the bird seed from around the edge of the carpet, where nothing else would.

Perfect for quick pickups in between serious vacuuming sessions! Great for cat litter, leaves and dirt tracked in at the door, spilled crumbs and cereal, and dead bugs (yikes!). It's so lightweight, and just like the commercials demonstrate, has the ability to slither in and out of impossible to reach spaces. However, you might find it a little noisy and somewhat difficult to get the battery out of the unit and into the charger. The collection bin fills up quickly, and don't expect it to pick up threads, hairs, and fine particles very easily. For that you need your real vacuum cleaner! If you're just looking for a quick "oh-my-goodness-my-guests-will-be-here-any-second!" machine, I'd say go ahead and buy it.

I watched the infomercial for the Swivel Sweeper a couple of times before I decided to try it for myself. When it arrives, you have to put it together. The directions are not difficult to follow, the only misleading part concerned the battery pack location. After you put it together, you have to charge the battery. I charged it for a couple of hours and then my curiosity got the better of me. I tried it on ceramic tile - worked great! Tried it on linoleum, worked great. Especially on dog hair. Doesn't do too well with small pebbles, but after a couple of passes, it gets those too. The only fault I found was that the handle feels very flimsy. It could use more reinforcement so it doesn't feel like it is bending. However, the unit does glide and doesn't need much pressure (most of that is just habit from traditional vacuums). I tried it in my Motor Home, loved the small footprint. It was easy to get into places that my regular vacuum couldn't. While it is not as powerfull as a regular vacuum, it certainly performs as advertised. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend it for small areas or quick pick-ups.

I have hard wood floors and throw rugs. I hated to take out that old vac undo and redo the wire, plugging and unplugging the vac just like on the commercial. Because it is cordless and lightweight vacuuming is now such a breeze, I vacuum nearly everyday. My 4 room apt takes me less than 10 minutes. it's that quick and easy and kinda fun. The one thing that I have learned to watch out for is the fringe at the end of the trow rugs. They catch easily in the machine.

I purchased the Swivel Sweeper thinking it would help make clean up in the kitchen and bathrooms a snap. Unfortunetly it didn't, not only does it not pick up much, especially hair, you have to continue to go over the same spot to pick up all the dirt. Needless to say I can count on one had how often I've used it. However, if you only want to use it to pick up loose cat litter around the litter box it works good. If I had to do it again I would have saved the money to use on my bills.

I was impressed by the infomercial and let down when I received the product... why why why do I buy into these infomercials? Anyway I put the Swivel Sweeper together and the product felt cheap and after charging the battery I turned it on and it wasn't anywhere as quite as they portrayed it on T.V. I was turned off right away. But since I made the purchase and I really wasn't expecting a miracle worker I figured I would hang on to it and give it a shot. It has been about 3 months since I made the purchase and now I can give more then just my first impression. The following is after a few months of use. The Swivel Sweeper still picks up dirt pretty good on smooth surfaces and very short carpet. It has rather easily became junked up it has fibers and hairs wrapped around the bushes and refuse to spend 30 minutes to clean it out completely. The tool they give you to do so is a small v-shaped tool which is very limited, so you really have to use your fingers and pull all the junk off, not something I enjoy since I didn't want it on the ground in the first place. On anything but extremely short rugs the brushes slow down and burn the battery up very quickly. The battery life is not great but it is a small battery. The battery also requires a special adaptor and then plugs into the unit that goes into the wall, it would be nice not to have to keep track of three things just to charge the small battery. If weight is an issue your in luck. The Swivel Sweeper is very light and does a pretty good job in the corners and against the wall. It is great on my hard wood stairs although you have to make sure all the dirt has been pushed to the storage before lifting or it will shoot it out when you lift it in the air. Also if you have the unit running and don't pick up the Swivel Sweeper level some dirt will shoot out. The storage is very easy to empty and replace but it is very small so expect to empty it with every room you clean. It stores away in a closest or in a confined space very well, but I recommend emptying the dirt tray before storing it vertically, but is can fit between your refrigerator and the cabinets if you have about 3 inches of space. Over all it is a pretty good machine considering the above factors. I wouldn't recommend spending more the $40 total on the Swivel Sweeper, if you can get it for less then it is worth it, or if you have lots of small spaces and hard wood floors to clean. It won't replace your vacuum but marries it quite well. PROS: Picks up dirt well on hard surfaces and tight places. Light Weight Stores easily Rechargeable battery pack powered (no cords) Low cost CONS: Small dirt tray Gets junked up quickly resulting in loss of power Battery life could be longer and you need three pieces to charge the unit Louder then advertised although I don't know if it has gotten quieter with time or I just got used to the sound Feels cheap at times Rating: A pretty good machine, considering the cost and expectations.
