I saw Sheer Cover ad on TV, and bought some. I think it's OK, but not all the hype everyone is putting on it. It looks like the stuff I already have. No better no worse. but I can say, it didn't even come close to looking like the people on the TV ad. (But then I don't have make-up artist doing mine either) Maybe I'm not doing it right, maybe it's the cheap brushes? I don't know. But I won't be ordering it again. I did however, find out that you can buy this Mineral Make-Up stuff OTC. I wish I would have found this out before hand.

I have used another mineral makeup I won't name here but it has been around 33 years. I have found it made me look alot older around my eyes, and its main ingredient is Bismuth Oxycloride which causes the high sheen. So I began using Sheer cover a month ago. It has Bismuth Oxycloride too but it is listed at the tail end of the ingredients, so meaning much less. I don't know why everyone who rates it doesn't rate it well, I found the sheen is less and the concealer is a cream, so I do not have the makeup settling in the lines around my eyes. I have gotten complements about my skin as well, and it lasts all day. And you save money with the product when you are a member, by ordering by create a kit program you can choose your kit your way every 90 days, its great.

I just purchased this product! I had to have it. Saturday (March 10th)I went over to my neighbors house, and she wanted to show me how good it was. I have a line across my nose that i HATE, and when she brushed the powder over my nose it dissapeard! My neighbors complextion is lighter than mine, so i wasnt happy with the color, i looked too pale, but the coverage and the way it set was perfection. I bought "Tan"...starter kit, and i can't wait to put it on. Also, i'll say this... sunday morning when i took my shower, after i dried my face, i couldnt believe how smooth it felt..i can't say 100% that it was because of the makeup, but i'm pretty sure beause i didnt do anything else different.

I am surprised to see all the negative reviews on Sheer Cover as most of the complaints given here about Sheer Cover (cakiness, emphasizing lines/wrinkles, not natural-looking) are exactly the problems I experienced with BE, and the reason I decided to give Sheer Cover a try. I think Sheer Cover works great, especially the concealer, and looks great too. I do agree with others about using a quality brush - the one from the kit is just plain bad and it is surprising that they actually include such a poor quality brush with their product! Apparently there really isn't a single, magic product that works for everyone, but as for me, I love it and recommend you give it a try.

I am a beauty junkie, I found out when I just never finish using a make-up product and always experimenting with a new one. The only thing I ever bought from tv was proactive (didnt help-my acne cleared when I started exfoliating my skin). I never gave these make-up infos a try..until I saw a good-bargain SC ad in the mail: Tried, liked it. The product has lil amount though..the one thing I like is the concealer--it really does its job!- I even use it as the FOUNDATION itself. Advice: try it for fun. n dont use the brushes/cleanser/moisterizer- there are better over-the-counter ones.

Have just started using Sheer Cover and so far am reasonably pleased. I've never really been into makeup in a big way but am heading towards 40 this year and wanted to try something different. It's only the first week but am reasonably pleased with results. I have an uneven skin tone due to a few spots/small broken veins. It doesn't cover completely but definately tones things down. My skin type is medium/dry and I've had no break outs yet. I'm probably not using enough but don't want that 'caked' appearance some women get. All in all, am happy so far. Will post again if things change dramatically - better or worse! I've rated as a 4 but would actually say 3.5.

Personally. this is the best makeup I've ever tried, and i doubt I'll ever use anything else. I tried Bare Minerals and it was okay but Sheer Cover was amazing. I started getting so many compliments from complete strangers when I started using it. It makes my skin look terrific. I've been using it for almost a year now and I'm still amazed at the difference in the way my skin looks. However, it doesn't work for everyone. When i suggested it to other people, some liked it but others said it made their skin look ashy or it was just off color. I think they would have a better all around product if they had a bigger variety of color shades. but for me and a lot of other people its perfect. Thank goodness they have a money back guarantee.

The concealer that's "specialy formulated" to work with the mineral makeup don't work together at all. The concealer looks okay until I put the makeup on and I look like I have a skin disease. I'd rather go out with no make up than look like I'm dressed for Halloween. So I started using it without the concealer and it provides NO coverage. However, it makes me itch. I think the itching is more from the cheap brush than the makeup. The bristles are WAY too hard and may have been piercing my skin hundreds of times per application; or it could be made of horse hair and maybe I'm allergic to horse. I've tried Bare Minierals since and am much happier with that product. Been using it for about 2 years now, it's good stuff. I'm now moving on to Dermacia, we'll see how that one does.

I first tried Sheer cover about 4 years ago and I have not turned back since. Admittedly I do not use the Sheer Cover cleanser or moisturiser as I seem to have a slight allergic reaction to one or more of the ingredients but I do use the concealer, foundation and finishing powder. I also use a professional make up brush instead of the cheap bristly one that comes with sheer cover which makes a HUGE difference to the way it looks. I get a lot of complimentson my skin when I am wearing Sheer Cover. If you do try Sheer Cover I recommend you use your preferred cleanser and moisturiser and buy a proper make up brush.

I love make up and I know when I have found good make up. Sheer Cover makeup is mediocre. Although it does say that you have to allow ur natural skin oil to mix with the minerals to get the cakey look to go away, the make-up still looks fake and cakey at the end of the day. Up close, the make up makes pores look enlarged and does not blend well. The brush provided is very prickly and harsh against the skin. It's messy and not as great as advertised. Overall, I would say save your money and try another product.

The claims from the infomercial are false and misleading. As a woman who does not have any scares to hide I believed that this product would be great for my skin type...wrong. Customer service is horrible and I can't believe Liza Gibbons would associate herself with this product

2/15/2007 - Jeanie of Florida, USA writes:
After watching the infomercial I erroneously purchased this product which doesn't apply nor remotely resembles the hyped examples shown. The powder was orange and it is mind boggling that anyone has a skin tone that would accept it. The concealer doesn't stay put either as I believe not many concealers on the market do and only added to the layers. I kept it but immediately cancelled my order and had no problems with doing so. I would wholeheartedly NOT recommend it to anyone.

I don't wear a lot of makeup but as I've gotten older (39) I feel I need more. This product works great and feels so light you forget it's on. I don't like the feel of foundation but I wanted the coverage. I get this with sheer cover. It works on age spots, freckles, and adult acne.

I absolutely love mineral makeup. I have good skin with not too many blemishes. I tried this product because it was less expensive than BE mineral makeup. After trying this product I see why it's cheaper. The quality is not as good as BE Bare Minerals. I felt sheer cover made me look like I had a lot of makeup on. The foundation made my face look shiny and felt cakey. I returned to using BE Bare Minerals. Even though BE costs more it's a better product than Sheer Cover.

Product did little good other than fill in all my wrinkles and make my skin look caked up and after a few hours of wear, looks oily and clown like! Waste of money and waste of my time watching the ad. Product is not worth it. I REPEAT NOT WORTH THE PURCHASE. Very disapointed. Don't purchase it, waste of money!!!

Oily, settled into crows feet & inner eye lines, did not cover up my under-eye dark circles. The powder grabs onto the duo-concealer and looks so caked and layered (I've seen people with applied makeup on in caskets & I felt like this product gave the same waxy, fake effect). Do not wear any fabric colors other than what your skin tone since it wipes off very easily. Definitely not sheer... definitely not flawless!

I have tried all different kinds of makeup products in my adult life and sheer cover has been in my opinion the best product in the world. It evens out my skin tone while not having that heavy caked on feeling i got with other products. The price is right, and a little goes a long way. Thank you sheer cover.

I ordered this product thinking it would be perfect as it was on TV. It was okay but no matter how much I mixed the mineral foundations it was always too pale. When I saw myself in photo's I looked like Casper the Ghost. The packaging was a joke. A huge box with 4 tiny compacts in. Also I cancelled this product and they're still charging me. You try getting through to these people, they never answer the damn phone!

It never looked good on me - just looked like I had too much powder on. I waited to long to return it - my fault, but I had not trouble marking the unopened subsequent shipment "return to sender" and calling customer service to cancel. Well, it actually took two calls: you have to tell them to give you credit for a returned shipment AND STOP FUTURE SHIPMENTS.

I was skeptical up to the point I actually used the product. It's pretty good. It's better than another brand I'm using. I viewed the DVD just before trying it (mind you, I've had the product under my sink for over a month) and applied the mineral just like it said and my skin does look pretty flawless. Not perfect but much better than before. I am very satisfied!
