I find the product works EXACTLY as demonstrated. Of course, the sample dirt in infomercial is fresh, not dried in and aged. Floor beneath freshly applied materials is sealed and slick, so it is an optimal demonstration. My house is not. Pourous Kitchen tiles with unsealed grout, hardwood floors that could use a a screening and fresh 3 coats of poly finish. I was surprised when I opened the box, and found it was NOT made from ultra thin lawnchair grade aluminum. the components were reasonably beefy, compared to what I expected. However, if someone is 300 pounds, and tends to lean into things, they are going to snap this like a twig. Use it with the same amount of pressure you would a [], and you shoudl do fine. I would NOT buy it online, or from any retailer that does not give a lifetime warranty. I went to a place that sells []. ok, I had to be careful not to use any company names, as it is a no no. The particular store has a lifetime guarantee, and as long as they do not follow [] into the realm of bankruptcy, I will get the thing replaced, should it stop working. NEXT: the Shark was offered 2 ways: for 79.99 with 2 pads and a 16' cord for 99.99 with 5 pads and a 25' cord and some rug attatchment6 that looks like a rectangle. I had a 20.00 coupon, so with tax, totalled 85.00. And no risk, no shipping, no hassle. I hope it lasts, because it really did a good job on the kitchen tile, which had lots of cleaner residue, now probably 80% clean. with each use, I expect the pores of tile to get cleaned out more and more. Similar with the wood floors. The Orange sheen cleaner grunge came up pretty well, and again, likely the wood surfaces will improve after a few more go overs. I was amazed that the thing actually produced useable amounts of hot steam. I though maybe theey just added the steamy sound in editing! Overall, very satisfied after using it on two different types of flooring. If not, back it goes. The [] pail and mop will never see my house again.

I liked the infomercial. Bought the product. Used the product several times, but for no apparent reason it just stop working--no steam. When it did work, the cleaning was ok, not good or great, I certainly did NOT have the results that the infomercial showed. Save your money clean your floors the old fashion way!

I was skeptical, but I purchased at a store that offers a full refund policy if not satisfied. I also had a discount coupon. My house is all hardwood other than the bathroom areas, which are linoleum. I first tried it in the master bathroom. The floor is very light and hard to clean, and I was ready to replace. I ran the Shark over it and it looks like a different floor! I then tried it on my hardwood floor in the kitchen where there were some spots I had been unable to get out. Again, the Shark came through. I am sold on this product and would recommend it to anyone. As far as improvements, I would add an on/off switch and I would make it a little sturdier, but other than that, I am more than pleased.

SKIP THIS PRODUCT. Saw the infomercial and was in awe. Ran out and bought it at [](to save the shipping charges) It took about 20 minutes to heat up the first time I used it. Was very happy the first 3 or 4 times I used it. After about 7 uses now, it doesn't heat up at all. Am very disappointed and cannot get a refund because I no longer have the receipt. Save your money.

It seem to do well but doesn't pick up grime in the small grooves of linoleum. That was the main reason I bought the thing. It cleans a little better than using chemicals which is a plus. It broke in the middle after only using it about 2 months. Steam seems like a good idea but this was definitely below my expectations.

I love my Shark! One of the best investments I've made. Have had it for 6 months now. I would definetly recommend this to anyone that mops floors, sure beats mopping on my knees. I let my daughter-in-law use it and she loved it so well she purchased one. The only improvement I would like is I wish the cord was longer.

I saw the info-commercial and I thought it was great. I got it at the store and had a disappointment. It left a wet mess and when I tried to clean off crayon(I wanted to see) it wouldn't come off.

I have a very large area of Ceramic flooring. I have tried numerous ways to clean it, and I was only satisfied getting on my hands and knees scrubbing. I really just bought this product on a whim, but I was pleasantly surprised. I felt I really got a deep cleaning, and it was much faster and easier. It was not hard to push at all, and I did not have a problem as I read with it being flimsy. (I found it hard to push together completely while assembling it, and if you didn't have the two shafts together completely, I could see where there would be a problem.) I am so happy with this product, I no longer dread cleaning the floors. It has made this job so much easier! Thank you Shark, for a wonderful and affordable product.

Product is a cheaply made piece of garbage. While it worked, it did OK. But it only lasted 3 months, and then it just died for no particular reason.

LOVE MY SHARK STEAMMOP I have seen a lot of bad reviews in here regarding the shark. I wouldn't have tried it if I had read these reviews first most likely but Thankfully I didn't. I don't know if people have been using it incorrectly or just expecting perfection but over all this mop is wonderful. I have had mine several months now and it does a terrific job on my floors. I find that ground in dirt on Linoleum flooring though you might want to pretreat those areas with a [] before the first time you clean the floor with your steam mop. The only issue I have is the pads aren't that easy to clean and the dirt really doesn't come out of them so having more than 2 of them comes in handy. I have tried plenty of products that don't perform as they have been shown on an infomercial. This product overall is good. Not perfect but it does a really good job, better than most mops or other products do plus it's safe( only using water) and eco friendly.

5th time I have used the product, hard to push on the floor and was using the steam mop and it actually broke in half, unrepairable. I need to buy another steam mop because I don't like using chemicals in my home. I will definitely NEVER buy another Shark steam mop.

This product is not worth what you pay for it. After shipping I paid about $100 and it doesn't work any better than some of the cheaper gadgets I have tried. I sent the product back and ended up paying about $40 in total shipping costs and got absolutely nothing in return. I would not recommend this product to anyone. It is a rip off!!

Completely disappointed. I have only used my mop a total of 4 times and now it does not work. For the price of the product you expect it to get you through a few years at least. This was a cheap piece of plastic. Complete waste of money.

This is a great product. I have two homes and try to find quick ways to clean. The Shark does a great job on both hardwood floors and ceramic tiles. I have used it for 9 months and nothing has broken. If did find that the pads that came with the steam mop did not move across the floors easily. The extra 3 pads purchased did. Looking at the tag on the pads the difference is: 70% polyester and 30% cotton are the pads that came with the mop and they do tend not to work well and do not come clean. The other pads ordered extra are made of 100% polyester and work well and come cleaner in the wash. I do use distilled water and have no problem with residue. I recently saw the Shark selling at a club store with five pads. I did open the box to check out the pads. You get two with the blend and 3 at the 100% polyester for a price better then I have seen anywhere else. I would certainly purchase another one if this one wears out. Again mine has not broken and maybe the reviews that say the arm broke is because of the pads not sliding across the floor and to much pressure is being used. I recommend you buy this product especially at the club store price/with 5 pads.

This product is only worth $29 and if you think you are getting it for 4 payments of $19.95 think again!!! As soon as I made the call and gave my credit card # the entire amount was taken from my card and when I returned he product before the 60 day trial period, I have yet to get my money back!!!!! They give you the run around and it has now been 30 days, they have their product, my money and my money and $21 for me shipping it back to them. DO NOT buy this product from the infomercial go to [] or some department store to purchase.

I paid about $100 and it sucks. the rod to the mop is weak and leaky. floors always look streaky. Tried to use window cleaner attachment what a joke. Hose kinks so you loose pressure. Then you have know where to put cords or hose for storage.

I purchased my steam mop about 2 months ago. At first I was really excited and thought how wonderful it would be on my tile floors. I couldn't wait to use it. Then the handle snapped in half. So much for that $89. I would expected it to last a lot longer than 2 months. It is very cheaply constructed. Not worth the money!

I bought this mop, and like everyone else took it out of the box right away. I cleaned my floors three times with it!! The real test was to put my 6 month old in his walker with socks on and see what happens. 10-15 minutes later. Dirt!! The socks were still dirty. I clean my floors at least once a week, and the mop works just as good. I was not at all impressed.

Product looked good on TV. However, following a strict budget made purchase iffy, so I was happy about the 4 easy payments of 24.95 option. Called, provided my debit card #. First payment? I queried. Yes, said the girl. Risk-free for 60 days -- how could I lose? They debited the entire $115 from my account at one time. I called. They were closed. Called again. Went online and canceled. Got an e-mail asking me to call. Called, and was told item shipped, they would credit money and draft first payment of $24.95 instead. 3-5 business days, they said. I asked them to expedite, as this was my grocery money. A week later, I called again. Again, they promised to credit, again told me 3-5 days. Since that call, it has been a week, and I still have not been credited. In order to call during the hours they answer the phone, I have to try calling from work. Mop works only okay. I've since seen it elsewhere for $69. Risk-free...hah! I'd send it back if I thought there was a chance I'd get my money back.

Sadly this product died after the third used. I have read it is not worth it to exchange the product. It was fairly easy to use and cleaned my laminate and tile floors decently, still streaks left after the floors dried. Stick with microfiber mops that can be put in the washing machine and mild cleaners to really do the job.
