Poor quality, poor performance. You must have pre-authorization to return. Customer Service tried to talk me into keeping product. English was not the reps first language and he was very difficult to understand. I finally had to DEMAND and return authorization number.

I saw this product i stores and wanted to try it. It looked very easy and simple to use without having to use a lot of energy. It sucks. when the steam comes out, the pad gets all scoggy thus making it harder to move. It's []. Don't waste your money folks. It dosen't do what it says. Stupid mop.

I definitely would recommend this product to anyone who has hard surfaced floors. I have been using my steam mop for several months as directed and have NO complaints at all. I have never experienced a sticky residue, I do use bottled water rather than tap water (a lot cheaper than cleaning products). Most dirt comes right up, some stubborn marks may require me to use a bit of fingernail to fully loosen, then they come right up with the steam mop.

I bought this product not expecting much but to my surprise it works great. I own a cleaning service and this really makes a difference in my cleaning time. I really enjoyed mopping for once.

I was considering sending for one of these mops but then saw them at my local store at a slightly lower price. Brought it home, assembled it and started mopping. Almost immediately the mophead fell off and although I clicked it back on it fell off every few minutes. The handle is flimsy, no stronger it seems than my []. It did steam ok but left the ceramic tile floor very sticky afterwards. I didn't find out if this would eventually stop with repeat cleanings because I returned it the very same day. I have since purchased a [] for not too much more and find it to be much more substantial. Not a steam cleaner but it heats the cleaning fluid and also dry vacuums and works very well. It would be interesting to see follow up reviews from satisfied customers after they have used the Shark for a few months.

I bought this product in a local store after my sons saw the infomercial. It is their job to mop the floors and they thought this looked good plus I thought it might be easier on my back than a mop and bucket. I have not personally tried it, but both boys (17 & 14) have used it and they think it's great. The first few times the vinyl floor was slightly sticky afterward, but today was the 5th use and they are no longer sticky. My 17 yr. old thinks that it works better when the cloth is wet to begin with. It has removed several stubborn spots and steams very well. It may not be as easy to use as I thought since my son told me it would probably hurt my back just as regular mopping does. A longer cord that doesn't get in the way of the mop would be nice. Also, a larger water tank...we refilled 4 times. We do need more than two cloths...I've had to clean them in order to finish the job (4 would be good). Overall this product work very well and the teenagers think it's more fun to use than a mop and bucket!

This product is very easy to use!!It is just as easy as it looks on tv. I don't understand the feed back that says its not. It heats really fast and once you get going it pulls up the yuckest stuck on gunk. The handle could be a bit more stable(its not so bad once you get used to it). Thats the only flaw I can see with this product.

If given the opportunity to purchase this product again, I absolutely would not. Mop is not as easy to use as it is on the infomercial. Cheap made. Used less than a dozen times, already needs to be replaced. I do not recommend buying this product.

I wish i had headed some of the negative reviews. My floor is constantly sticky, wish i could return it. i have tried everything, changing the pad often, etc. I have a large kitchen and sunroom, all vinyl floors and this takes forever, with multiple strokes and my floor is still sticky! Going back to my [], which is big but takes less time!

I never thought my floors were "dirty" - we don't wear shoes inside, and I vacuum & mop weekly - however, I was suprised at how much dirt the Shark Steam Mop picked up. After cleaning the floors, I walked around in my white socks and they stayed clean! Assembly was quick & easy - only a few minutes to read the instructions and put together. I followed the instructions - the mop heated up quickly, I pumped it a few times to get the steam going and that was it. I used filtered water and there were no streaks. The floors were almost instantly dry. I did buy my mop from a store (not the infomercial number). I am going to buy the additional mop pads. The one feature that I would like to see changed would be that the cord connects to the mop head. As a result, the cord seems to be right where you want to clean. I just hold part of the cord with the handle, and that seems to prevent the cord from being in the way. Overall, I am pleasantly suprised with my Shark Steam Mop and I'm glad I bought it.

I wish I'd kept the receipt and the box. It's hard to push, the pad keeps folding over itself, and my floor has never been this sticky! I'm pretty sure it took all the finish off my ceramic tile floors, because it has never looked this dull and dingy. Leaves streaks and I feel like I constantly have to wash my feet.

Happy with product. Hard to push @ 1st,but like others have said, once the pad gets wets,it is okay.Only have used it on tile,& I use it with a 50/50 mixture of ammonia & a spray bottle & have found it works much better & dries pretty fast. If you have a large area, buy the extra pads & change them as you go,so it does not spread any dirt around. Hit the dirty pads with Spray & Wash, let them sit awhile, & wash in hot water, & they will come clean. If your plug is getting hot,it is because your outlet is worn & needs to be replaced, that is the cause of a plug getting hot most times. Also,it may take a few times before your floors start to come clean, & the paper towel test will tell you when you are there. All in all, does what it is suppose to do.

I purchased the Shark Steam Mop and have used it on my well worn no wax tile floor. It does not make a silk purse out of a sows ear, but it did make a marked difference. The floor looks and feels clean. And the steam did not lift any of the tiles. I then took it to my daughter's home and tried it on her tile floors. It did a beautiful job on the tiles, though it did not remove the existing stains in the grout. I didn't have much luck with the existing stains in the carpet but in all fairness, I think it could have prevented the stains if I been able to use the steame mop before the stains set in. I am not sorry I bought it, but I do wish I had purchased extra pads at the time.

I purchased the mop last week and although it did not clean as well as I had hoped, it did work. I have dogs, birds and kids and my floor is alway dirty. I have tile floors and wash them twice a day. While I will not use this product for everyday use, I will use it to sanitize the floor and give it a fresh look. I have no problem with the handle, yet, but can see where it could break. It is a little hard to push, but get it wet first and it will move smoother. It's not perfect, who is, but I like the product and it suits my needs.

I bought the mop in December, it was hard to push, which must have been a defect, because it snapped in half in March. I sent the unit back on March 20, the emailed me on April 1st they had received it and it would be replaced. On May 1st the check for $9.95 I had to send, cleared my bank. On May 23, I called they said they had shipped it, it would arrive any day. On May 30 they said, oh it was shipped in April but its lost, We'll send another one. Today June 6, I called and it has still not shipped. I bought the extended warranty on the mop, and so far its all been a waste of time. The customer service people will only say. "You need not worry, it will get to you one day". What ever in the heck that is supposed to mean.

After 13 years of cleaning the floors on my hands and knees, I can finally say I now own a mop. I used the Shark for the firt time tonight. It took a little while to clean the 1000 square feet of hardwood. My floor was filthy! but now they are nice, clean and shinning. floors and they look beautiful. I am sure that the next time I use it, the cleaning will go faster. I am in love and would recommend this product. For those of you who have broken the handle, you must be bruts!

I bought the Shark steam mop at [] after seeing infomercials and reading reviews online. The pad folds up while using it and I did the paper towel test while the floor was still wet and it was still filthy. I just thought this was maybe because the floors were so dirty so I tried it again today and the same thing happened except for the handle broke right off! I am very disappointed in this product and will be taking it back.

Commercial vs. Reality ... Commerial shows ease of use; the reality is, flimsy handle, the plug gets HOT in the outlet (not too sure that's safe), with my bad back, I found it difficult to keep pushing it back and forth just to use it; and I really do not like this product. Guess I will go back to my maid service after I return this product to the store I bought it.

At first, I was VERY dissapointed w/the mop. I figured out though, that if you dampen the cloth first, it will work 10x better, since it gets to work faster w/the steam coming through. I can't imagine not having it now. For anybody ready to take it back, try getting those pads wet. Also, you don't have to throw them in the dryer, just wash them & they dry w/in an hour of being in the wash.

It was giving to me as a present, and I have to say...it is better than using a cotton/sponge mop. The floor dries a lot faster. No more cleaning out mop buckets. Thanks Shark Steamer
