LOVE IT

3/2/2008 - Netta of Maryland, USA writes:

I loved this product. I have had mine for over a year. Just have to make sure you clean your rollers out. Bought one for my daughter for her college dorm as well. I recommend it. My 10 year old loves it as well. I would recommend this to anyone who hates to "sweep".

It really works

1/12/2008 - Mishka of Arizona, USA writes:

I have used one of these at my job for at least a year. We have low pile retail type carpet but lots of it and its never let me down. Of course it doesn't have suction, so it isn't meant to replace a vaccum. I bought one for home and it has a little difficulty on regular carpet, but does great on tile. I'm happy with it.

Short Lived

12/2/2007 - dem of Virginia, USA writes:

Been using this for only a couple of months..just about everytime I use it it has one problem or another. It's very sensitive. Now the roller stopped working. I always cleaned the brush after use. There is NOTHING stuck in it. It does a great job..WHEN IT WORKS. Which is 1 out of 4 times.

Broke on the 2nd use

10/12/2007 - Kimberly of Utah, USA writes:

this product is really cheap. It is made from very cheap materials. It broke on the 2nd use for us. It did ok at suctioning, but with it breaking so quickly, we don't have a long term review. We never bothered trying to see if they would replace or fix it.

I bought a second shark

3/18/2007 - Jay of New Jersey, USA writes:

After three years, I upgraded to newer unit. For a quick or daily cleanup, it does an excellent job on hardwood or tile. I still use a vacuum once in a while, but my first choice is the shark. Battery recharge capacity eventually is shortened to where you replace the battery pack.

Save your money, don't buy it!

3/10/2007 - Anne of Maryland, USA writes:

It doesn't work: -on hardwood floors, because it rejects half what it takes in. -on carpets, because it gets stuck all the time.

Follow-up to my comments

11/7/2006 - John of Louisiana, USA writes:

UPDATE: Still kicking and running fine.--One word about Maintenance. I believe it is crucial to clear the Roller of threads and long hairs (human or otherwise)-- I do this with an Exacto knife or any sharp blade--- After you have emptied the tray!--Just run the knife down the roller and pull out the accumulated junk. This is why the other respondents could not keep their machine running. It will clog easily because it picks up all of "your crap". Clean regularly and it will run indefinitely.

It sort of works

11/5/2006 - Darlene of Quebec, Canada writes:

I purchased this product 2 years ago, and it has worked fine. I t does a decent job on carpets, picking up pet hair especially, but on hard surface flooring it just scatters the pet hair. In general it works for everyday quick cleaning. My family uses it regularly.

Works Great

8/2/2006 - Patty of California, USA writes:

We really like our Shark Sweeper. Having three children, three dogs and three cats, I vacuum almost every day. The "dust holder" does have to be emptied after each room, but it's better than lugging our huge vacuum from room to room!

NO PROBLEMS HERE

7/25/2006 - John of Louisiana, USA writes:

Have owned one for about six months and have had no problems at all. We use it about once a week for touch ups and the battery lasts for at least 30 mins. Far superior and versatile to the Hoover and the Oreck upright cordless I have had in the past. No brush problems -- No battery problems --No belt problems-- THERE YOU HAVE IT -- IT WILL PROBABLY BREAK TOMORROW.

So Far So Good

7/20/2006 - Dave of Pennsylvania, USA writes:

We purchased this cordless broom yesterday and charged it for the recommended 20 hrs prior to use. So far we are completely happy with it. We have a Dalmatian who sheds year round and we were totally amazed how this sweeper picks up the hair! We have a top of the line upright sweeper that even after running it, this little machine picks up the pet hair that it left behind. We can't comment on it's battery life or any breakage of parts at this time since we only purchased it yesterday but will update in the future if any arise.

Amazing

2/18/2006 - Jordan of Florida, USA writes:

I was at a friends house when I tired this product for the first time. I looked at it and sort of started laughing and then I tired it and MAN! Did this sucker work! It pulled up hair and bird seed with ease. The battery is short lived though. I wouldent recomend it on carperts like shag but otherwise... its WELL worth the money.

Junk

1/27/2006 - Jay of Colorado, USA writes:

We bought one from Sears and it worked pretty well out of the box. The side brush quit after a couple weeks and then the drive belt stretched and wouldn't turn the brush. We took it back for an exchange and the second one had the same problems and was dead in two weeks. We returned it for a refund.

OK....but better products available

12/30/2005 - Jack of Tennessee, USA writes:

The Cordless Shark does an "OK" job on some messes. Large messes and spills are a real problem for the very small collector tray. Pet hair is a real problem. It doesn't do pet hair well at all. At the end of the day, $60.00 is a bit much for this product. There are too many better deals.

Save your money

12/12/2005 - Greg of Idaho, USA writes:

We went through 2 of these units in about two months. They worked well for a couple of weeks and then the side sweeper brush broke on both and soon the beater bar would not turn. Dirt Devil makes a similar product for almost half the price, we are trying that.

unstisfactory

10/11/2005 - Ann of Pennsylvania, USA writes:

I went thru 2 of these units it seems both times the battery was bad in the units each time I fully charged like the instructions and could only run the units for 8 minutes before it either shut off or light started blinking to indicate battery life you have to buy a new pack and install it yourself save your money!!

Definitely worth the purchase price

8/8/2005 - Wm. of California, USA writes:

I purchased my Shark sweeper two years ago and am quite satisfied with it. Vacuuming my apartment carpet has become an easy task. Because the sweeper is very lightweight (yes, an elderly woman can pick it up with her little finger) and cordless, it is easy to navigate. With time, the charge capacity diminishes from a 30-minute charge down to the point where it is more practical to just leave it in recharge mode when not using it. Emptying the dirt tray is simple to do. I have no hesitance recommending this product; it is definitely worth its cost.
