Another scam

8/26/2008 - elaine of IA, USA writes:

A cheap piece of crap. I tried to soak up a spill and just smeared it around. I also tried the bowl of water bit. The cloth barely soaked up any water. Infomertial must use a different type of cloth. Fraud!!!

Commercial totally accurate

8/26/2008 - Linda of Texas, USA writes:

This product is indestructible. I sent the duplicate of the order to two friends who have dogs and they use the big gold ones to clean the dogs over and over, wring them out and clean up the bathroom floor later. I have used mine and eliminated almost all paper towel uses. Have arthritis in my hands and I can still wring the cloth out almost dry with my hands. very easy to use, very accurate in commercial claims.

This is just FELT!

8/25/2008 - Heather of UT, USA writes:

My mom gave me a set of these towels for Christmas. What a joke. They are pieces of felt. That's it. Nothing spectacular, nothing amazing. No great soaking-up capabilities, no amazing drying uses. They just push liquid around. Someone should file a class action law suit on this one, for fraud and false advertising.

Works pretty much as advertised

8/25/2008 - Joe of California, USA writes:

I reluctantly bought a set of these based on a TV commercial. I was skeptical but willing to take a chance. The product worked well in wiping up the counters and removing the water off my glass shower doors and chrome fixtures. I am pleased with the product.

Sham Scam!

8/23/2008 - violet of new york, us writes:

I was at the New York State fair and they were selling these. My sister bought them and gave me a set to try. It feels like felt and works just about as well. It does not dry anything completely. It will absorb water but not as well at they show on tv. Honestly, a towel works way better.

I give it an F

8/21/2008 - Katie of Washington, USA writes:

I went to a fair in my area and saw this product in use in person. I thought that is was absolutely wonderful and just had to have it. Once I bought it I didn't use it right away I ended up waiting several weeks and then regreted the purchase. I don't now how they did it but the guy who ran the stand made it look like it worked beautifully. What I got wouldn't even dry my car after washing it. I won't soak up spills. It does nothing but smear liquids around. I won't ever make that mistake again.

Sham-wow? Nope.

8/19/2008 - Bryan of Virginia, USA writes:

I got a couple of these as a present from my in-laws. I didn't end up trying them out for a month or so and wish I would have never tried them. They more or less just spread water around when you try and wipe up. Regular towels work much better. They shrunk big time after washing, and are pretty much junk. After then watching the TV commercial a couple times, you can see a lot of editing and trickery on what the Sham-not-wow can do. If you look a part when he pours soda on the carpet and lifts there is a clear puddle outside the size of the carpet. They then cut to a shot where the puddle is completely covered by the carpet. He then bangs and wrings out the Sham-not-wow and lifts the carpet. You can see dust from the dry piece of carpet they used underneath it. Save the 20 bucks and buy 8 months of paper towels or buy a set of real towels. Besides, if you keep buying them the guy on TV will never go away.

Shamwow

8/19/2008 - Don of Ontario, Canada writes:

I ordered the product from the web site, and it only took 4 days to arrive, and the order was doubled as advertised. I used it on my car, and it works great. The smaller ones we use in the house, and everything the commercial says is true. These towels really do work well, and I feel like I really got my moneys worth on this product

shamwow AWESOME

8/16/2008 - paige of florida, usa writes:

i tried SHAMWOW because of vince and was pleasantly surprised to find that they work just about like they do in the commercial. i use TONS of paper towels a month, just like vince says, and i have re-trained myself to reach for the SHAMWOW; it's really made a difference, and they are sturdy! i scrub the floors with them. they haven't shrunk in the wash, or frayed. i LUV SHAMWOW!

Shamwow is a Sham

8/14/2008 - Dorothy of Wisconsin, USA writes:

It was a waste of my time as well as my money. The Shamwows absorbed the same amount of water as a normal towel. However, after one washing, they shrunk. I was careful of the warnings and did not use fabric softener yet they now absorb less water than before. They also pilled like cheep fleece after that first wash. The dye also leaks out of them and onto everything I tried drying with them, including my cat! I sent an email to the company with no response. I am very disappointed with this product and mute the television every time the infomercial is on. I should have just bought regular towels and a large amount of paper towels.

Works for me

8/12/2008 - jeff of fla, usa writes:

I saw these in a leather shop and while purchasing a jacket the gave me 2 and I have used them for 2 years now. I am not sure if they made them cheaper since then but I will tell you they work like a real shammie. You wet it first like a real shammie but the shamwow picks up more liquid than the same sized leather shammies.

Another fraudulent product

8/7/2008 - Cresence of Virginia, USA writes:

This product is worthless. It originates with [] in Canada and is probably not German but Chinese. The people giving it five stars are obvious plants, people working for the company that markets this piece of crap.

Yep, it's a sham

8/7/2008 - Deborah of TX, USA writes:

SAVE YOUR MONEY! I bought this product solely to dry my car after washing, doesn't do it at all. Pretty much just pushes the water around and smears, although I tried one towel dry, and another one wet and wrung out. No good either way. I knew the sales pitch you spend $20 on paper towels every month was bogus, but I WAS hoping that these towels would work. They don't. Wish I could give zero stars.

ShamWOWZA!

8/4/2008 - lisa of mn, usa writes:

Love, love this product. The shamwows are a must in our household where frequent spillage occurs. Remember do not use fabic softner with these at all, it'll lose it's absorbency.

Great Product

8/3/2008 - Robert of CA, United States writes:

I spilt a half cup of coffee on the beige rug this morning (espresso). It left 2 big stains and droplets about 12-18 inches away. Thought of Shamwow that I just received 3 days ago, preceded to pour a little bit of water on top of the stains and soaked it all up!!! Was pretty amazed that it did all that and it has been about 9 hours since the incident and I can't see the stains coming back. Great product for this circumstance. Will try it out on the car next. I didn't wet my Shamwow first like others have suggested.

Works Great

8/1/2008 - Brandon of NV, Unioted States writes:

I bought the ShamWow about 3 years ago, I was amazed by the demostration. I took them home to my wife, of course I got a crap from her for buying them. That was untill I did the demo where I filled up a bowl with water, put the Sham in, and when I brought the cloth out the water was all absorbed and the cloth was not dripping. Since then my wife is a beleiver and so am I. They work great, don't know what these other guys are talking about. I am buying some more right now as they tend to disappear when family comes over....hmmmmm.

Definite Sham

7/29/2008 - amber of Oregon, USA writes:

I got this product at a trade show, but it didn't work at all. I went back the next day and I understood why my Sham-wow was not working like the Sham-wow the demonstrator was using-- He was using a much better chamois than the one he was selling to people. Don't waste your money.

ShamWow worked for me!

7/27/2008 - PJ of OH, USA writes:

I bought this product mainly because of their claims of how it soaks up dog pee. Gotta say that it works WAY better than any paper towel or regular towel I have ever tried! A blessing, since I have an old, incontinent dog. With paper towels, you can still see where the pee was. One good blot with the ShamWOW and you can't see at all where the accident was!
