Why is there no Class-action lawsuit yet?!

9/20/2008 - Chuck of CA, USA writes:

I do not understand why I have yet to find a class-action lawsuit about this product yet. I bought this at the [] and paid for what they said was 10 rags but there were only 8 when I unrolled them, so I'm already short by 2. Then I tried them on my car and their performance was worse than if I had used a sopping wet towel to dry my car with. It did nothing but smear water everywhere and barely soaked anything into it. Do not buy this product ever. Also, whoever gave this high rating is obviously on Sham-craps payroll. It didn't even dry my hands off!!

Shamwow! Wow what a SHAM!

9/19/2008 - James of Georgia, USA writes:

This is one of the worst products I've ever purchased. At first I thought it was priced a little high, but if they did what the commmercial said they did it might be worth it. After one use I washed them on the delicate cycle, without fabric softener or putting them in the dryer. They came out of the washer in shreds. I called the Shamwow people and rather than refund me they sent me more. Why would I need more? They are going to shred too! They are not worth the money.

MAJOR RIP OFF

9/15/2008 - Laura of california, USA writes:

Not only did this product not work as promised, when i used it to why off my clean car windows, it did not absorb ANY water whatsoever. I tried dragging it, i tried wiping as if it were and old towel, all it did was smear the water around. Same experience with water spilled on the carpet. The shamwow picked up NO water and all the water remained in the carpet. I resorted to kitchen towels as I had always used in the past. This product is without a doubt the biggest rip off I have ever invested in!

It's definitely a SHAM!

9/14/2008 - Jerry of Ca, Ventura writes:

My wife got them for me for drying our vehicles. They do absorb a lot of water, but you have to go back over the car with a dry towel or you will have water streaks. It works good as a general towel to clean up messes, but that's about it.

Scam

9/10/2008 - Terance of Arcadia, CA, US writes:

This product does not work. I tried it on my boat both wet and dry and it didn't work any better then the old cotten towels I use to dry it. I think this is a merchandising scam. They have a 30 day money back return but they keep the $7.95 shipping. It dosn't cost near that to ship the product, so they make at least $5.00 on the sale. they also make a huge profit on all the people who just throw the product away and take the loss. If you feel you got ripped off by this product take the time to file a camplaint with you state Department of Consumer Affairs.

An Awesome Investment!!!

9/8/2008 - Dennis of Utah, U.S. writes:

I bought this product just to try out about 1 year ago. It worked just as it said it would! It didn't drip at all and it soaked up the Exact Amount it said it would on the infomercial. I weighed it and then took 21 times that amount of juice and put it in. Just like it was suppose to, it soaked it up and didn't drip. It does however drip if you try to soak up more than what it can handle and you might want to keep a bucket handy to squeeze the excess water into. I've used it on my cars, my carpets, and even tried drying my shirts with it and it all worked perfectly. I am also a big person so I decided to test it as a towel. It completely soaked up all the water from my body, and hair! Plus: It dried up a lot faster than a regular towel. It could however use a better sent then the weird smell it does have but then again, I didn't make it. I bought 2 extra sets of the yellow big ones and small purple ones and they still work just as great as when I used them the first time. I did need to learn what type of activities and problems they would be most effective on and I also found that my friend who I let borrow the product didn't really have much use for it unlike me. But it works Great and I would definetely recommend buying one for yourself! Just make sure you test it on every possible scale AND also it is in fact something neccesary for your everyday use.

I like it

9/8/2008 - Erica of Pennsylvania, United States writes:

I actually saw the demonstration first hand, so the shamwow on the carpet actually does work. The demonstrator said to use white vinegar on the carpet to take the odor out after you get the majority of the wetness out. They also showed me how to use it as a swiffer mop. I love the fact that you can reuse it over and over again. Which is great for those who are trying to save money or go green! I used it on my bathroom facets and no smears or water marks! It is easy to wring out the excess water unlike towels! I am excited to find more uses for it.

a vote in favor

9/6/2008 - Kate of NY, USA writes:

I did what it seems most of you did: didn't read the instructions! (a bad habit of mine). After I found myself very disappointed in ShamWow's performance on several jobs, I sat down to read the paperwork on how to go about returning it and discovered the (plainly stated) direction to wet it first, then wring it dry before starting your project. Duh. Of course. (That probably should be more ardently shown in their infomercial.) Now, it works perfectly. But in my opinion, the very BEST thing about this product (and those of you slightly anally retentive about your home like me pet owners who have an intimate reationship with your vacuum cleaner as a result, will love this): whips with the dry version of the ShamWow takes off all the pet hair that sticks to your furniture cushions without having to drag out the vacuum every day or 2. Then I only have to vacuum the carpet alone twice a week instead of every day or 2. I still haven't figured out how to replace paper towels for drying glass, etc. Obviously that won't work with an already wet ShamWow. It does seem to work well drying the car but I still have to go over my black car with a regular chamois to get a better shine. But bottom line: a WET ShamWow sucks up a plethora of accidents although you do need a receptacle of some sort nearby to wring it out & avoid the drips. Hope this helps.

shamwow is a rip off

9/5/2008 - christy of texas, usa writes:

I bought shamwow because I thought it would be a great product. I paid $29.80 for shipping and handling. Web site says 7-5 business days to receive. Got it in 12 business days. When you call the 1-866 number they tell you 8-10 business days. Operators were very very rude. They will argue till the death about everything you have to say. Porducts do not work at all. What a total sham! They wont refund any money and make you pay for shipping again if you send back. Please do not buy this product, total rip off.

Upset wowsham.com is taken

9/3/2008 - David of Texas, USA writes:

Product is a complete fraud if using shamwow.com. I thought it was odd how in the infomercial they changed the carpet piece before soaking up the cola (Notice the camera break before the soak and when they come back there is no soda on the outside edges like before). But I did and wow is right. Tried drying my truck with a dry and a wet one and they just smeered the water all around, like they are covered in rain-x! Furious that this can still happen today. Will research next time.

Wow I've been shamed

9/2/2008 - Karen of Ontario, Canada writes:

I bought this product for my husband who really wanted to try it - I ended up leaving a window open in my car one day, and found the sham wow in the back seat - the piece of felt didn't dry up any of the rain drops - I ended up using a kleenex -- I then gave it a second try later on when my son left a juice box in my bed and soaked my mattress -- I laid the sham wow on the mess - and again nothing happened - nothing got sucked up -- again I ended up using a towel...DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM! DO NOT BUY -

They are not all

9/1/2008 - Justin of Ontatio, Canada writes:

The product being sold at the 2008 CNE in Toronto were not Sham Wow. They looked the same, and had Wow labels, but the sales guy I saw said We are not Sham Wow. They are an American company, we're better. And then went on to claim that their is bigger better etc. You gotta be careful that the sham you buy is literal, not figurative!

ShamWow: After you RTFM, works decently

8/30/2008 - Will of NY, USA writes:

First off, I will mention I am not a company plant, I don't even know anyone who produces this product. What you must remember with this is that it's basically a high-powered sponge. Soaks up water and liquids pretty well, but it's gotta be wet first. That's the key. Obviously wring it out before you start to use it, or else it won't work. Read that directions sheet that came with the ShamWow, and it will work pretty well. Perhaps if they mentioned in the commercial to wet it first, that people would think better of it. Before you complain, RTFM.

Perfect!

8/29/2008 - Peter of Toronto, Canada writes:

I bought one at a demonstration in Toronto for $20, saving tax and shipping. (Actually I got 4 cloths for the price). I followed the instructions to the letter, and they work exactly as claimed. Perfect! And it has a local number to call for any questions.

wet the towel first

8/28/2008 - Lorri of MI, United States writes:

my instructions said to wet the towel throughly first, wring it out, then use for whatever mess or job you need it for. I beleive the complaints of pushing the liquid around may be solved by trying this first.
