SCAMWOW

11/17/2008 - JOE of AK, USA writes:

I purchased this product to clean my car. I could kick myself in the rear for falling for the infomercials. You are better off using an old towel or a sponge. this product does not live up to it's claims.

Ohhh Boy!!!1

11/16/2008 - Jay of IL, United States writes:

I don't know if my review will actually get on but I think that Susan from Florida, USA needs to get off of her high horse and come back to reality. Who are you to say that everyone who doesn't like the product is stupid? I never actually tried the product but I have seen others try it and the small towel could barely soak up half a bottle of water(500 ml). And yes! the towel was wet before he used it!

Typical t.v. product

11/15/2008 - Chas.A of OK, U.S.A. writes:

Personally, if I had to make the choice, I'd skip occasional meals to have the funds to have my autos commercially washed and waxed. But one of my best friends - for some reason I find hard to explain - loves washing/waxing/detailing his auto as much as, say, taking a plush Caribbean cruise. I happened to drop-by his house one Saturday, as he was about to begin work on his Acura, and just as the mail arrived with his order of this product. As he gleefully opened the container, the first thing I noticed was that the order had been doubled, with exhorbitant shipping and handling add-ons. However, he was ecstatic to begin using this miraculous product, and pulled them from the container at once. It took about a minute to find he already had about eight or nine chamois, towels (cloth and paper), and rags from various cloth - all of which worked as well or better than these overpriced items, hawked by a typically weird individual on the tube. Save your bucks, folks!

They work for me...

11/13/2008 - Eva of Michigan, usa writes:

I bought these after seeing the infomercial over a dozen times. I only paid 7.95 for shipping and I ordered two sets. The second set had free shipping. They came in about two weeks which was shorter than the 3-4 week estimate by the website. I think they work better than papertowels and regular towels. I have already washed three of the big towels, they did not shrink. BTW, if you read the instructions DO NOT use fabric softener and do not dry them in the dryer. I haven't dried my dog yet with it but I am certain from the previous performance of the towels that it will be better than a regular towel. .

Sham-Wow Rip Off

11/10/2008 - joe of pa, beaver county writes:

Product stinks, and they are cons when you do order the product. Commercial says 19.99 and they put in 2 orders for us and we asked for ONE and then they said 7.00 shipping and charged us 27.00. You request one thing but be surprised when you get your Bill on credit card statement it will be triple. They will say you order 2 and the mop and i said i ordered one set for 19.99 and then your stuck with a 80.00 dollar bill. Product stinks too and they rip you off with customer service reps too.

I really don't see any difference

11/6/2008 - B. Carrier of IL, United States writes:

This product looks fantastic on the infomercials, sadly that's not the case in real life. I mainly wanted to use it on my car, but it doesn't absorb any better than a normal terry cloth perhaps worse. Watch out.

SKAMwow

11/5/2008 - Rebecca of MS, United States writes:

The commercial clearly states to use wet or dry. The amount of water that the small shamwow picked up was slightly over 2 cups more than a regular washcloth of the same size. To compare the shamwow to a chamois, I soaked both in water than I squeezed them both out, then I rolled them up together, unrolled them, and squeezed them out again and the shamwow was drier and the chamois poured water out again. This is a total waste of money. Both of my big clothes shrank to half their normal size once they dried. It cost me $10.00 to learn to check reviews before ordering anything as seen on TV.

better

11/4/2008 - Leo Lescarbeau of FLORIDA, USA writes:

I use this product all the time. It's great. The only problem is you have to dampen it to fully get the absorption. But then again so do you have to with a chamois and a chamois scratches your car paint when dry, but not the shamwow. Show me something better (If you can)!!But then again one has to use common sense.

big letdown

11/2/2008 - Bonnie of North Carolina, US writes:

I have a cleaning business and thought looks like a product that i can really use. I was so disappointed. This product did none of what it claimed. I thought that maybe i was too harsh of a judge, so i gave all 5 of my adult children one to try. They all agreed that it was money wasted. Even worse than that was about a month later I was cleaning a pet grooming studio. There was a sham wow laying up high on a shelf. I asked the groomer if I had left it there. What a shock and great laugh we both got. He had bought the sham wows to dry the dogs after there baths. He said it's mine but you sure can have it. He was about to throw it away. He said he got several in his order and none worked even as well as a small towel. After this experience I won't order anything that I can't return easily if not pleased

I'm Happy With The Shamwow

11/1/2008 - Susan of OK, USA writes:

I ordered this product from the infomercial. I am very pleased with the performance of my shamwows. The yellow ones seemed a bit big, so I gave one to my husband for the cars, and I then cut one in half and now it is just the right size. It really does what the commercial says it does but make sure to wet it first. This seems to be the secret to mastering how to use them.

FABULOUS!

10/31/2008 - susan of Florida, USA writes:

Hi, I suspect all the poor reviews are from the low IQ Americans that are too lazy to read the instructions, then are quick to complain and degrade something to everyone else, that they don't even know how to use properly! Probably will go home and vote for McCain now too! These things work! they need to be used/wet prior to the actual clean up though....

Garbage

10/29/2008 - Fred of WA, US writes:

What a crock of sh*t! These things are horrible. I ordered Sham-Wow after seeing the television commercial. I love how Vince (or whatever his name is) says but if you call now...within the next 20 minutes because we can't do this all day.. All day!? I have seen this commercial countless times. These things are crappy.

Shamwow and allergies

10/27/2008 - Doug of Ohio, USA writes:

I bought some of these. I have horrible allergies. So bad that my nose runs like a faucet. I had a first date with a great looking guy that night, and my allergies were acting up. So, I took my shamwow, and cut it up into 2 pieces. I took two and rolled them up into little rolls and placed one in each nostril. No drippy nose! Shamwow saved my first date!

Scammed

10/25/2008 - Mary of MO, Platte writes:

Bought it to dry my car. Didn't work any better then my Chammy in removing the surface water. Worst part was that it simply would not dry the surface of the car. Just kept pushing the water around the surface. When I used it over and over again, it left streaks and looked awful. So I used the shamwow to re-wet the car and then dried it with my 10 year old Chammy that cost 12 bucks and it worked much better then shamwow did for 30 bucks. Its a rip off. I will never buy anything I see on TV again.

The mop handle is a piece of junk.

10/25/2008 - Barbara Taylor of NC, US writes:

The mop handle broke-spilt down the middle- with the first use. I haven't tried the towels yet-hope they work better. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Does work, but maybe not as well as TV

10/17/2008 - Chris of Texas, USA writes:

I watched the demo at the state fair yesterday and it was just like you see on the infomercial, so I went ahead and bought it. first off, as the guy said, it is not meant to be used dry. It is weird but if you try to use it dry it worked like using a wet towel. But if you soak it and wring it out and use it then it does work. I also put some water in a bowl and draped the shamwow over the side of the bowl, just barely touching the water and it did soak it all up into the sham.

Scam_WOW

10/17/2008 - Gus of ca, USA writes:

I was scammed into buying this product when I saw a promotion for it at a local store. It was just like the guy on the commercial, with the black table and all, and probably even the same piece of carpet and no name brand soda. It worked just fine right there in front of us, and worked fine for the first week or so before it began to stink from being filthy and needing a wash. So I washed it as per the instructions on the packaging and it completely ruined the product. Not only did it no longer absorb any liquid, it actually repelled it! Works great before you wash it, but completely craps out when washed. Better off buying the microfibre cloths that you can cut yourself, live [] (big in Europe, I have my mother send them to me every couple months or so).
