I hate the days that say

11/2/2008 - Brad of TX, USA writes:

Where do I start? I have had the product for 4 weeks and I am in love with it. The days that I am doing push-ups are always great days! I feel energized and pumped. The days that are called off days (3 a week) aren't nearly as fun. If you actually look forward to the workout, doesn't that say something about the product? I have always been an athlete and played sports throughout college and kept in pretty good shape. The past 2 years I stopped working out because of my job and didn't have time to go to the gym so I looked a little unfit. SO, when I bought the Perfect Pushup I took it to my office and have been doing the exercises there! My girlfriend didn't know I bought the product and I didn't really want her to know (kinda going for the whole discrete exercising plan) but that didn't work. On Saturday, I got out of the shower and she asked if I had been working out. I replied no lol. Enough said. It works. The ONLY problem I have with these things are on the wide push-up exercise, the handles kinda wiggle. Just a little bit, though! Perhaps if I wasn't doing the exercises on carpet and on a harder surface, they wouldn't wiggle? Anyways, these things are awesome and I will be using these for a long time to come!

Awesome Product!

This is one of the best push up products I have used. Being in the military for 10 years I know how to do push ups. This product is better for strength training and targeting all upper body muscles.

Pretty good...

9/23/2008 - James of Colorado, USA writes:

This product does work. The first time i tried it, i could feel my full torso working, not just my shoulders. However, i have been feeling some discomfort in my right shoulder and i believe it's due to my perfect pushup workouts.

Perfect Pushups Indeed!

8/16/2008 - Peter Paul Banzon of Metro Manila, Philippines writes:

I bought the perfect pushups last February after watching the infomercial while I was at Corona California. As a 48 year old former track athlete, basketball and tennis enthusiast, I have lifted weights, and used all kinds of training aids since i was 16 years of age. However nothing prepared me for the feel of the perfect push ups. The pivoting handles indeed engage more muscles than standard pushups and is physiologically right. When I first tried it out and did about 5 of the exercises, man i had major DOMS the next day. I only experience that when I do heavy pyramiding sets of dumbell inclines. This equipment really delivers! Today I use only bodyweight exercises to maintain my 48 year old, sports injured body. And Perfect Pushups are heaven sent. I use them three days a week and do the pyramid workout. I have become noticeable stronger and slowly am seeing the muscles i once had before sports injuries sidelined me. I recently bought another set that i keep in my office so i can exercise during breaks. Imagine yourself looking forward to doing push ups! I had a love and hate relationship with this exercise because when I had military training in school, this was punishment. Now its pure muscle joy thanks to the Perfect Push ups. Hooyah Alden Mills, thank you for creating this uniquely powerful training aid.

Product Review

7/27/2008 - Paul of Massachusetts, US writes:

While shopping at the [] store; I was looking at a fairly new product called the Perfect Push up. The claim on the box indicated you engage more muscles, Helps reduce joint strain, designed for all fitness levels. The Heavy-duty construction supports 300lbs. They were on display so I decided to check them out. I was approached by a stocky male sales person. He said, hey, it’s a great product; I own a pair and use them as often as I can. He told me that most people who do the regular standard push up can only perform half the number of repetitions when using the perfect push up. He said the product can cut you up (That’s a term used by bodybuilders when the muscles are tone and visible) I could see it coming, and he finally asked if I would like to give it a try. I’m 61 and I look 61 and I think it’s fair to say he noticed. I picked up the perfect push up and went into the prone position, he was giving me instructions how to position them, A little more then shoulder width apart. He said how many standard push ups you think you can perform. I said I was not sure but would do as many as I can. Okay man just take it easy. I completed 70 repetitions, stopping once at 55 to catch a breath. I have been training with weights four days a week since 1972 and keep an active membership with the local Gym. The salesman had a chuckle and asked what I thought of the product. I said lets look at the first claim, 1.You engage more muscles. The downward motion you swivel inward, and then move back to a parallel position at the top, you may be engaging more stabilizing muscles do to the swivel effect. The claim does seem to have merit. Engaging more muscle using the product as directed. 2. Helps reduce joint pain. A regular pushup is performed with palms down; this may put extra stress on the wrist joints. The perfect pushup is designed to use an over hand grip which does appear to relieve joint pain. 3. Designed for all fitness levels. Most fitness products are designed for the beginner, intermediate and advanced. The salesman asked if I thought the product was worth the $39.00 dollars. I told him I didn’t think the product was a rip off, and I don’t believe the claims are deceiving. But I did explain I thought the product was not worth the money and the same results can be accomplished performing regular standard pushups. The salesman had one last shot at convincing me it was more beneficial then the traditional push up. He said the perfect push up is designed with handles so when you move down you are increasing your range of motion. I agreed, but explained the extra four inches was not crucial when performing the exercise. He was still not convinced so I decided to show him I could perform the same exercise and get the same results using equipment I already owned or were available in the Gym. I took two dumb bells placed them on the floor, the height was similar to the perfect push up, I turned the dumb bells at a forty five degree angle out ward. Got down did a push up. I then turned them forty five degrees in ward and did one more push up. He did agree I could get similar results using a little ingenuity. I would not purchase the product for $39.00 dollars. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate it a five. I can duplicate 96% of the claims using red ally available equipment. Before I left the store I had one more thought for the salesman. I told him the only perfect push up was to have someone else perform it for you.

You can really feel it.

7/17/2008 - tim of MA, US writes:

I have been using this only for a week now, and I can feel the results starting to come through. I am going into the Air Force in about three months and I needed a quick fix to get my push ups up to par. This product is worth it. The push ups are harder but you can go down lower, working out your back. Its great! Very very worth the money. The work out plan that comes with it is perfect. It lets you rest every other day. You still see results even though you rest. Buy it! You won't regret it!

Great Product!

I've used these for a while and am really pleased with the results. I think their biggest problem is that the exercises are pretty limited, but the results are great nonetheless.

First Rate

5/16/2008 - Rick of Illinois, USA writes:

I am 60 years old. I bought this product on a whim at a local retailer and then found that this product simply does what it claims. I started out at a max of 9 pushups. After 9 weeks on the routine, my max was up to 28 pushups. For someone who had never done more than 25 pushups when he was much younger, the results are amazing and I can easily fit the workout into my schedule.

Well worth the money

5/6/2008 - Bill of Oregon, USA writes:

Great product. My mother bought this for me and I thought that it was a waste of money, however it actually works great. I stopped working out for a couple years after I popped out both of my shoulders but I've just gotten back into it and it works great. It's been two weeks and I can already see the results. My max jumped from around over 20, to an easy 30 in just over two weeks. It won't give you abs like the guy on tv though, but overall a great product.

good product but needs to be more durable

5/3/2008 - mike of new york, usa writes:

Its a good product that's true to its claim that the rotation allows for a better quality, more effective push up. I've been using two sets of the bars for over 8 months every day since they were first released to the market around summer 2007. I have two complaints though. 1. The rubber grips wear and tear easily. This happened to me after a few weeks of use, using them twice daily for 10 mins each, every day. 2. The swivel action gets hard after a few weeks and requires grease; and even with WD 40, has a harsh metallic rubbing sound as if its incurring wear and tear; and sometimes the bars dont swivel which can cause injury. I think they need to make it more durable. The hard swivel action after prolonged use is a safety/product liability risk

It really works! Not kidding!

4/15/2008 - raymond of California, USA writes:

I am a regular runner with great cardio and low body fat. For the limited amount of time that I have to spend to build up, this product actually works great. Although I am partial to free weights, these things have bulked me up much faster. I like to switch up between this and free dumbbells.

After using the Perfect Push-ups for two weeks, you can really see the different almost inmediately at least in my case. Made no mistake, the routines are tough. But like others had said "no pain, no gain". You have to follow the routines.

Ultimate Perfect Pushup Review!

2/26/2008 - Taylor of Oregon, USA writes:

The Perfect Push ups are awesome. Period. It makes push ups so much more difficult. It also provides for more of a workout and is a great way to get your upper body in shape. The way the Perfect Push ups are made allows the user to go down further than normally possible on a regular push up. Thus, the upper back is also worked out. Besides the fact that the Perfect Push ups work different parts of the body than a normal push up, they also work the same parts of your body a normal push up would, but in a way that a more difficult and intense workout will be provided. The rotation in the push ups are great. Because of this rotation, the user gets not only different muscle worked out, but the muscle being worked out gets more of a workout. Imagine it like this. If bench press is performed, the burn is felt. If bench press, dumbbell bench press, and flies are performed, the burn is definitely felt. Perfect push ups is like doing bench press, dumbbell bench press, and flies all in one. The only difference is that the Perfect Push ups are more for toning. Turning into the Hulk would not be a likely outcome from doing the Perfect Push ups. Gaining muscular endurance and getting more tone would be. If you enjoy working out, want to get more ripped, or are just looking for a fun workout the Perfect Push ups are right for you! Note that I do have a site... But I can't post a link to it here. If you type in the title of the headline on google you'll find it. It has a more in-depth review. -Taylor

Great results!

2/16/2008 - Will of Oregon, USA writes:

Wow! I'm 44 yrs old and in decent shape. Did cardio and weights 3 times a week until work injury prevented weight training. Bought Perfect Pushups and maximum pushups on first day was 15. Nine workouts later and my max is 25. Six minutes of pushups versus 75 minutes of weights? No contest. Quality product.
