Definitely a waste of $10.00. You can follow the directions perfectly, all you end up with is a disgusting gooey pasta that takes rather like decaying gum rather than food. We use ours now to water our high hanging water pots, since it is a fairly tall unit. A complete waste of money.

This product does not work. I read the instructions and followed them to a T. It left the pasta either mushy, or left it undercooked and gummy.

Totally a waste of money. Does not perform as advertised or following all directions. Also a safety problem since the top does not fit. YOU WILL GET BURNED by the hot water and by purchasing this junk

Do not waste your money, this product does absolutely nothing it says on tv. What a waste of my time, and money!! I suggest you boil it on the stove, it is much easier, and less messy.

This product is useless. The pasta sticks together, it does not cook evenly, it makes a mess, anyone who says they like it is lying!!! or they work for the company. Definitely do not buy!!

You have to boil the water to fill the pasta express anyway-- so why not put the pasta right in the pan with the water you're boiling and save the money. It did not work very well, and I felt stupid having bought it!

I live in a small condo and I thought this would be great to save space. I tried 3 times, failing each time. The outer noodle turned to mush and ithe inside was hard. I donated this to the Goodwill, maybe someone can use it as a vase.

I bought it to make fast lunch at work. Yesterday I tried to make penne, starky and yuk! Today I tried frozen diced carrots and pees. When I poured the water out, the straining lid fell off and the whole tube of carrots and pees fell into the sink. I just felt lucky that nobody else was in the company's kitchen to see what a mess I made!

After giving it an honest go on several occasions I realized I got ripped off. Threw it in the trash, pasta and all. Don't buy this unless you want your family to go hungry.

I like this product & have used it weekly. If you READ & FOLLOW directions & you will too! It is well made and saves time! Value for the dollar is A+

I found this in a store. I looked at my teakettle, no way it's going to boil enough water, I'll have to use a pot, and the best sized one is my spaghetti pot. See where this is going? So, I boil the water and pour it onto the spaghetti. Ten minutes later, it IS cooked, but it is starchy and doughy. I ate it, but only because I was really hungry. Point is, since I'm boiling the water in my spaghetti pot, why the heck don't I just cook the pasta in it? I found one plus, it washed up very nicely in the dishwasher, so it was squeaky clean when I returned it. I noticed there were three or four others that had also been returned.

This product's not that bad.. Really! I bought it from a store n use it everytime i'm makin' pasta.. The trick is to get the timing right. So i'd suggest a little R&D with this one.. Good luck!

Pasta Express worked well for me when I make certain modifications. First I can't get the snap top to actually snap tightly...so i keep the whole thing in the sink when i pour the BOILING water in. Then, i leave the water in the cylinder for 12 minutes and pour the whole thing CAREFULLY into a colander. Pasta is perfectly al dente. I add sauce and whatever else like sausage or pepperoni or ? and make a casserole and bake in oven. PE makes less mess and for that it's OK

A sticky yucky mess. I guess you need a large amount of water at a rolling boil to cook pasta correctly. After returning the product it has still been a month and I have not received my refund.

The salesperson said, "You have to shake this tube to get the pasta to cook evenly." The burn scars are still on my left hand. The top leaks, half of the pasta is overcooked, half of it is almost raw, and it's far too large for a paperweight. Avoid frustration - avoid the Pasta Express.

This product will probably go down as the biggest consumer rip-off of the century. I have tried several times with different pasta and the best than can be achieved is a chewy nasty blob. I have carefully followed all instructions, preheat, salt, etc. with absolutely no luck. Unless you're in the market for a not quite airtight pasta storage or a very tall clear vase don't waste you money!

I tried this product & so far I like it. I used the regular spaghetti noodles. While I was cooking the noodles in express machine I only had to dirty one pot for the sauce. My strainer worked fine. I haven't used it on anything else yet. The noodles were a little doughy but that is because the water is still hot but not boiling

While the Pasta Express does attempt to cook pasta, it does a very poor job. The taste is so starchy I had to throw the pasta out. I used your instructions on vegetables as well, poor results. This is a very poor product and I will return it for a refund!

I bought this hoping for a safer way for my teenager to cook pasta without having to mess with aiming for a colander. I so glad I tried it first. The instructions said to stir it after adding the water, but it needs major warning to not "swish" it around and that the lid (not just the strainer, but both parts of lid) are NOT watertight. I ended up with boiling water all over my hand. Needless to say, that's not the safety factor I was looking for... And when all was said and done, it was the worst tasting pasta ever. No one in our family was willing to take a second bite. Stay far away from this product...

I tried the Pasta Express cooking Angel Hair Pasta. It was very easy to use, pasta cooked within 10min, and cleanup was much faster than pots and strainers. I warmed the cylander as suggested, put in the pasta, poured the boiling water in, screwed on the lid and waited. One additional thing I did was to move the cylander around a little bit at the start of cooking so that the pasta inside would not clump. The negative side? The pasta was soft, but tasted a bit doughy. Some pasta did clump, but I was able to seperate it quickly with a fork. For a quick pasta meal.. not bad.
