I bought this vacuum last month from a dealer so I got to actually try it in the store. I like how light it is and how easily it goes from hardwood to carpet. It is so lightweight because all the attachments are on the separate (free) canister. The canister also works very well. Great suction on both products. Depending on the model, you also get "free annual tune-ups".

Great vacuum. It is everything you want in a vacuum. It is powerful, light, and easy to use. I have 3 cats and a dog, and it does a wonderful job cleaning up their hair. Also since I have hardwood and carpets the Oreck XL does a great job of transitioning between the two automatically. A great unit!!

I simply love my Oreck vacuum. It was more costly than others when I purchased but has been worth every cent. I was so impressed by Oreck that I have purchased other products and liked them also. My mother has one now as does my best friend. I tell everyone about it.

This vacuum is so good.It picks up every thing!I also think it is great because of the fact hair does not wrap around the brush. The hypo-allergenic filtration is great, and the 8 year warranty and 8 free tune-ups are even better!

my wife recently purchased an oreck xl ultra as a replacement to a windtunnel v2 bagless vac that died after only 2 years of service. I was very impressed with the oreck xl ultra's performance -- excellent on carpets and wood floors! This is a very lightweight vac that has great versatility because it automatically adjusts from our carpet to wood floor. The hypo-allergenic bag keeps all of the allergens "in the bag" instead of releasing them back into the air. The Ultra XL has an 8-year warranty along with 8 free annual tune-ups. Mr. Oreck has a great product!!

The Oreck Ultra is simply "Best in Class". Never have I seen such a fine machine that is so versitile. The hypo- alergenic filtration is wonderful and the 8 year extendable warranty is certainly one of a kind!
