Don*t waste your money!

10/5/2008 - Pat of Michigan, USA writes:

Do not buy this product. A complete waste of money. It worked great on 2 cans then stopped while trying to open a can and was unable to get it off the lid. Both ended up in the garbage. I received another one at a later date as a gift and the same thing happened.

Junk

Wife purchased from Sharper paid a premium I'm sure. Worked a few times then died real piece of junk. Eats batteries like they are going out of style. Don't waste your money.

RECOMMENDED!

10/1/2008 - Chris of TX, USA writes:

I have purchased this product 75% off from a big retail store and it works as advertised for regular / common sized cans. I have owned it for more than 11 months now and it still works great. It is true that you can't use this on big cans (greater than 5" diameter). No complains here, the work it has done for the time I have owned it is more than what I have paid for.

garbage

9/23/2008 - roya of texas, USA writes:

Garbage is where I had to throw it. It worked for about three or four times; then it got stuck in the middle of opening a can and no matter what I did, I couldn't get it to detach from the can, so they both ended up in the trash can. do not waste your money.

Flawed can opener

8/13/2008 - Steve of Ontario, Canada writes:

Can opener batteries died in the middle of opening a can. There is no process to detach the opener from the can without breaking it.

Love It!

7/14/2008 - Connie of CA, United States writes:

My husband purchased this product for me as I have severe neuropathy in my fingers, hands, and wrists which makes using a conventional can opener very painful (and I have never found an electric can opener that actually worked). This product for me works exactly as advertised and I rarely have to change the batteries. I truly love this product and have recommended it to family/friends with arthritis, etc. in their hands. Love it!

Caution! don't buy

5/10/2008 - Charlene of utah, usa writes:

I did buy this product in a store. Have watched it on TV and wanted to try it. I wanted so badly for it to work. I had to take it back to the store. Tried it on two different cans and couldn't get it to let go of the can. The food went to wast. Took it back, and they couldn't get it to let go either. Unfortunately, I replaced it with another one, but the button wouldn't work. The reset did, but no amount of pushing on the button would make it go. The person at the counter said they had a lot of these returned and thought they should be taken off the shelf. Too bad. It was a good idea if it worked. I have neuropathy in the hands and thought it would be a welcome relief. Instead, it was a real pain.

Good for multitasking

4/21/2008 - CalgaryGirl of Alberta, Canada writes:

It is neat to use. I had it for 5 months now and opened many cans. I am on my 2nd set of batteries. There are instructions on how to open it if the batteries die half way on can. You can open a can and do other stuff. No share edges to deal with. You have to watch that pieces of the can label doesn't go into the food when you take the lid off. But don't throw out your normal opener. I made the mistake of opening a coffee tin with this and realized later that I couldn't use the lid because the rim get taken off. lol

Beware! Sharp edges!

4/18/2008 - Marjie of TN, United States writes:

The OneTouch can opener opens cans with ease, HOWEVER, they need to re-think their advertising campaign about "no sharp edges." I've just suffered my second major cut from handling cans that have "no sharp edges."

Good product for one handers

4/7/2008 - Nancy of Ontario, Canada writes:

Although it is a pain if the batteries die mid-use, this can opener works great. It cuts the lids without leaving sharp edges and is perfect for my step-son who has the use of only one hand. He is keen to be in the kitchen with us anyway and any product that gets him more involved is worth far more than the money paid. I can see older folks benefiting from this too.

Big Dissapointment

3/13/2008 - Y of Bay Area, California, USA writes:

When I first bought it, it worked great! Then I found out that you have to constantly change the batteries after a few uses. It also does not open large cans. It stops in the middle and it's a real hassle to pry off of the can because it's locked in. I wasted a few canned goods because of this (and cut myself in the process!). I wish I hadn't bought this product.

Still Working!

3/11/2008 - lisa of arkansas, United States writes:

I purchased this product at a local department store just to make sure I could return it. I have since purchased one for my elderly mother. Works great.

3/7/2008 - Janine of South Carolina, USA writes:

Have had product for awhile now, loved it up until now. Started opening a can and batteries died! Needless to say couldn't change batteries while can was attached to opener, had to pry opener off with screwdriver and lotsa muscle.

I bought this from [] and so far I love it, not a problem with big or small cans, or battery issue. So far so good, and I use it just about every day for the past month.

Stopped working after two weeks

1/14/2008 - Paul of Texas, USA writes:

I thought this was a great product after using the can opener for about a week. After that I found it would not open large cans. Then on small cans the cutting wheel would not retract after the lid was entirely cut and the moter would not stop. You need gloves and pliers to yank the cut lid away and get the thing to stop.

SoSo if you get a good one

1/3/2008 - Dave of Colorado, USA writes:

Seems like half the folks have good luck, and the others don't. The batteries died on the second can i used it on. Put new batteries in and halfway thru it froze up, had to actually pry the thing off the can with much force, and tools. Needles to say, it went in the trash. I'll stick with the manual ones, conventional or top opening.

Love This!

12/26/2007 - Elsa of Illinois, USA writes:

I have had this for about a year now and I absolutely love it. If anything ever happens to this I will certainly buy it again. It saves on counter space. It opens cans without any problem. Just make sure the can does not have a dented area as that is when it can get stuck and then it is hard to remove. You absolutely MUST let it come to a complete stop on it's own in order to remove the lid without any problem whatsoever. I love this product!

The neatest little gadget!

12/16/2007 - Michelle of British Columbia, Canada writes:

I have used the One Touch Can Opener for about a month and a bit, nearly everyday, I get excited when I have to use this as I love watching it work while I do something else while it's doing the job it's supposed to. I did have a little problem with it at first (my fault, I didn't read the directions properly), but once I realized what I was doing wrong, boy it truly entertains me while doing the job!

Handy Product

12/11/2007 - Judy of Michigan, USA writes:

Great product. Got 2 for Xmas last year. Ruined the first one instantly. BEWARE! Do not try to take it off the can until it comes to a complete STOP!!! If you do it gets caught in the can and you can't get it off without ruining it. I have had the second one since last Christmas and I use it constantly. I haven't replaced the batteries yet either. As I said, if you let it come to a complete stop it works great and I love it.
