This is my second convection type oven. The first one lasted about 10 years and was difficult to clean because it had a heavy large glass bowl that wouldn't fit in the dishwasher or sink. I finally decided to replace it with the Nuwave after watching the infomercial many, many times. My Nuwave arrived the day before Thanksgiving and I had purchased a 10 pound turkey, that was going to be my first test of the oven. It came out perfect, juicy, crisp skin and tender meat. It took less than 2 hours, and I also baked a sweet potato and the same time. No messy gas oven to clean, no oven heat to contend with in the kitchen, and I didn't even have to baste the turkey. I then tried chicken thighs, and they came out so good and juicy, that I couldn't believe it. So far everything I have cooked in the Nuwave has turned out perfect, and I couldn't be happier. Keeping it clean is a snap. The bowl fits both my sink and dishwasher, and comes out sparkling clean. I use some PAM on the wire rack, and it cleans up in a few seconds. This is one infomercial product that will be used almost every day in my kitchen.

Great product. Bought it two weeks ago. Cooked a frozen chicken (4 lb) in 90 min. and it came out moist and delicious. Also have done a roast, chicken breasts, all come out very tasty. It works great on baked potatoes and sweet potatoes and is super for heating up leftovers.

The Nu Wave/Flavor Wave oven does what it says in the ad. It has saved us countless hours of cooking and defrosting time. We use it primarily for cooking meat of all types. It takes a little getting used to as far as how to make frozen steaks have that charred/browned appearance but it can be done. It is easy to clean and easy to store away when not in use. For once an infomercial and product that really does what it says.

the smallest and one of the cheapest working parts of this product is the liner pan...when i bought my product it was less than 3 months old and the drip pan's protective coating began to crack and break apart and even go into my food ...i own pots and pans with good to excellent non-stick surfaces and never did they fail me mainly because i treat them with respect as i did this drip pan...the service people are excellent there and have good hearts until they transfer you to an oriental man claiming he's the owner of the company. Anything the CS rep tells you he changes the outcome to tough luck to the consumer even though the notes remain unchange from previous calls in my acct--i had two coversations with this owner over the drip pan...1) 1st time told him this drip pan will cause an reaction to problems--if it says non stick it really isn't because mine broke apart even into my food on recipes used from the drip pan like for a pot roast from their recipe book...and i called 2) 2nd time recently because they came out with a better pan and once the CS rep checked my acct she told me in the notes i "was" offered a new pan and just pay postage but i told the CS rep that was not true but she said that was in the notes--the owner of the company must have over- ruled that because i was never offered that option previously...the owner got on the phone this 2nd time and rudely said i was too late to get it all for free and had to pay for the new one plus shipping even though the CS rep said to me what is in the notes about being offered one for free plus shipping... he upset me so much that all he did was allow me to speak as if i was speaking for eternity and never offered me any solution or one at all even though i'm a past customer not as important as a new customer who gets newer and betetr working parts for their product esp for the drip pan now made out of ceramic, better than the old claimed non stick surface that broke apart... i even told him before i called within 3 months of owning this product that your drip pan claiming to be non-stick isn't that at any cost will ruin future sales--and the reason why i did call a 2nd time was because of this new ceramic drip pan they had in their .net site--he belittled me so much that i swear if you deal with this owner you won't win or get a satisfying result you expect from any company that does business like that--don't get me wrong here as the product performs but do you have to deal with a non stick drip pan that does not do its job in the 1st place--i give it 3. something stars and take away 1. something stars if you buy this product and have to deal with this oriental company that does not priomote aany CS after you leave them and get this oriental owner on the phone--before i forget i bought two of these machines--not just one--and in my opinion their policy is F___k the original customers we have their money already--it's about tomorrow's customer who should be about buyer aware conscious...

The Nu Wave Oven really does what it it claims. Frozen chicken breasts are done in 14 min with out preheating. It saves a lot of time. The only complaint I have is it is hard to wash. I can't fit it in the dish washer, and it barely fits in the sink making moving it to clean a pain. To clean the racks think of cleaning a BBQ grill. The plastic cover is also already scratched. The quality of the product is ok, but the way it cooks is amazing.

This was our first try for an infomercial, staying up late with a colicy baby. We took a chance and OMG, it is the best. We have cooked everything in it. For those nights where you didn't decide what to cook before you left the home. We let a friend borrow it for a night and did not receive it back for a week.

This product does a very good job of cooking things especially when they are frozen. The food does taste a little better in this thing. I use it almost daily. The only complaint I have is the plastic base. It cracked within a year. I had to order a replacement which didn't cost too much but I was hoping it would have lasted a little longer.

Oh my goodness, its rare to find anything off TV that works but this works GREAT!! We use EVERY SINGLE DAY!! I actually feel really bad because my credit card was stolen and I never did update the NuWave company of my new billing info. I was nervous too update my card info because I only had ownd it for 2 days & I didnt want to be ripped off, but IT WORKS! We put all sorts of things in there and phooey, I put more than 1 item at a time..who has time to put one item in at a time. you can even stack and steam items.

Never ordered off TV, but I have to say this product is everything they said. I told my uncle about it and he pulled one out that he purchased back in the day. The only differance was it was glass and not plastic, and not digital. He still uses it every day (he's 92)and loves it. I highly recommend this product we use it daily to eat healthy meals. (you can watch as the fat melts right off the chicken!!)

products warranty does not cover liner pan and when i called CS at Nu Oven they didn't even know if that is covered--then the manager ruin my satisfaction holding me to the warranty even though it was on my 3rd use only..I now have to use tin foil on the bottom of pan because i'm afraid the pealing pan's lining may get into my foodk, even though the only part covered is the heating element..now that is a waste when that works and nothing esle does or breaks down.

The product does basically what it is advertised to, except the food doesn't turn out as well as I'd like. Meat tends to get a strange glazed look to it, I'm assume from the air blower in the unit. I think where the unit really shines is if you cook a lot. It's like having another oven but able to look at the food from every angle and get to save $$$ on electricity. I say get it if you have the room and cook a lot.

I am still suprised at how much I use my Nu-Wave oven. I try a lot of different things out there, and usually am dissapointed. Not in this case. I would say that just about everything I make with this thing comes out tasting better than conventional cooking.

Nu-Wave Oven Pro delivers as adverised. Cooked a 3.5lb Chicken in 70 min. from frozen solid and it was better than any supermarket rotisserie chicken that we have ever had. Next did a pork roast. It is unbelieveable how juicy and tender the meat was and browned to perfection on the outside. Clean up was a breeze as all the parts except the power head are dishwasher safe. The triple cooking system using infrared, convection, and conduction is the best way I have ever cooked. My Mother has one and uses it every day and has made a special place on her counter for it. I highly recommend this tabletop infrared oven.

I use the Nu-wave oven almost daily, and have for the better part of two years, and think it is great. everything tastes better from it. Unfortunately, the base cracked in two areas and more recently the plastic cover cracked. I am having difficulty finding replacement parts for it. Hopefully I can locate some soon.

5/24/2006 - Kenneth of Sussex, UK writes:
for the first few months it was an excellent product, but it soon becomes obvious that the parts are so poorly made that they disintegrate, leaving the product dangerous to use, and when sourcing spare parts, it proves very difficult, so far waiting 3 1/2 months and still no further forward.

It sure does the job. I gave to my mom for x'mas. Unlike a regular oven you don't have to wait for it to heat up, so meals are made quick. Easy to clean as well. I use it to cook meat most of the time. But DON'T get suckered into buying the extender ring. You will probably never use it. The other thing is there is only so much stuff you can cook on it at one time. For example when i make steaks if i put more than one at a time it doens't give the best results.
