Used this product twice. The second time I used the larger dicer the blades bent - I was chopping an onion, I followed the user instructions exactly. I've only used the smaller dicer once, hopefully it will last. Very disappointed in the product would recommend not buying.

The first time I used the Nicer Dicer, one of the blades bent making it impossible to continue use because it would not fit into the matching slots. I was chopping celery which I had removed the strings so I feel that the blades are not strong enough to do all that is advertised. If it won't chop celery, how on earth would it be able to chop sweet potatoes??

This is great for cutting potatoes. However, I use onions in several meals a week, and after only a few uses, one of the blades started coming loose, bending, and cutting into the plastic cutting board below. I was no longer able to effectively use my Nicer Dicer. However, the booklet says it has a 5 year warrantee. So I sent it back to the company. WARNING - if you do not buy the Nicer Dicer directly from the Nicer Dicer company, they will NOT honor the warrantee. The quality of the product does not match the price! Buyer Beware!

I don't understand all of the negative reviews of the Nicer Dicer. I mostly use the smaller attachment and it makes quick work of onions, celery, peppers...etc. When I first got it, I was slicing the onions so they would fit. This made it hard to dice them. On a whim, I just cut the onion into chunks and tried dicing them. Voila! It made short work of the chunks. It almost makes the whole process fun. I cannot believe how easy this product is to use and how well it performs. I highly recommend it and as I said before, I can't believe all of those negative reviews. Maybe the authors weren't using the Nicer Dicer correctly. At any rate, it's a keeper in my household!

I originally bought this product almost two years ago and it was excellent, I even took it on holiday with me to rented villas. One day I used it to chop swede which is very hard and the blade buckled. As I thought it was my fault for using it on something very hard I didn't bother to return it, I had it for over a year by that time. Then I bought one on the internet for about half the price of the original, used it twice to chop just an onion and the blade buckled. I sent it back and was given another one. This has happened several times, I think I am on the 5th blade now - and still the same happens just the first time I use it. Looking at the reviews they have gone from 5 star to 1 star over a period of time, so I think the only answer is that the whole thing has been cheapened - perhaps being made in China or somewhere similar. It is such a shame, it was a great product in the first instance.

i got this as a present for fathers day for an 84 year old to help with cutting and one for myself the second time i used it to cut up swede it broke what a load of rubbish the 84 year old could not even cut up an onion. i was very upset the way this product is still alllowed to be advertised dont waste good money on it

This product broke the first time I used it, the small grid was useless and wouldnt even chop herbs. It was impossible to close it to chop as the item bent over the product to be diced. The large grid mashed tomatoes and herbs, then one of the blades came off altogether. I did notice on the box that it was made in Chine and I thought the infomercial says made in Europe. So perhaps the market is flooded with cheap fakes.

Without a doubt, this has got to be the biggest piece of rubbish I have ever bought - the only consolation is that I purchased it [] for £7.99 - if I'd paid £40 I would have been livid! On the demos, this looks like such a fantastic product however, in reality it is cheap tat. The very first time I used it, the thing broke. I was trying to chop a small onion and after much effort, I noticed that several of the blades had bent and come out of place. I actually took the thing apart to try and fix it, which I did. I then tried to chop some mozzarella when it broke for the final time. All the blades are now sitting in pieces on my kitchen work surface and I amd dreading showing it to my husband as he is going to go mad. I'm really disappointed with this product - it's just rubbish and I don't know how they can get away with selling it - especially for upwards of £40!! The blades aren't even sharp, they are thin flimsy things - even a razor blade is thicker and sharper. I'd be interested to know how many dicers they got through in that infomercial because I absolutely can not believe that it was the same one throughout. My advice is to save your money and just use a good knife.

This product is a rip off. I paid $80.00 including shipping for a piece of toy. It's a trashy gadget. Don't waste your time and money.

I dice up a pile of onions and peppers at a time and freeze in ziploc bags to use at a moment's notice. This saves tons of time when preparing quiche, pasta sauce, omelettes, etc. Doing all that chopping takes a long time. When I saw this infomercial, I knew I needed one. I lucked out and was able to find this at a Liquidation-type store for $20. I bought myself one, and one for my mom. It worked wonderfully the first 3-4 times used, but then the blades bent slightly, and the thing started to slice into the plastic grid portion. This made it next to impossible to chop something properly, since it couldn't slice through and close entirely. The top of the storage container also broke where it slides onto the lid to close it. Thankfully I paid a fraction of what this usually costs, but I'm really disappointed at how poorly made this is.

When I got the nicerdicer I sat down and read all the instructions. Then tried to use it following instructions carefully. It would not cut an onion half so I had to cut the onion into quarters. The arm bent as i had to exert an extreme amount of pressure to dice the onions. As a regular weight-lifter, I had a hard time with this product.

I was so excited to get my nicer dicer only to find it to be a piece of crap !!! I had a hard time cutting lettuce or tomatoes with my full weight pressing down. There is no way I was going to make french fries as advertised.

I found several problems with the nicer dicer. First, the cup would not properly fit into the slot, only just able to get the edge to catch which resulted in it spilling out the contents while using. It appeared that the plastic was too thick to slide into the slot. Then I tried to chop an onion (why else would I buy it?) and soon found out why they have that big hefty man on the TV show. By the time I cut the onion to a small enough size to actually be able to press the blade through it, 2 more chops with my knife would have finished the job anyway. The blades were not sharp and rather than steel appeared to me nothing more than the metal strapping used on large packages. Oh well, live and learn. The concept is wonderful, the quality, however, needs lots of work.

This product appeared very easy to use on the infomercial. In reality it was not. It "smashed" more than it "diced." In addition, one of the cups that it came with broke the first day when I was putting it back in the box. I do not recommend it.

I loved it and it worked great for about two months, then the blades on the big grate bent, I threw it out. The grates on the small blade are to small, so that blade is useless. Would be a great product if the blades did not bent.

Nicer Dicer does work, but is not as shown in infomercial. I did use the large blade quite a bit. The small blade is useless. When I tried to chop using the small blade the food would stick in the blade, resulting in a messy, time consuming task to dig it out. About 3 months after I'd had my Nicer Dicer, the (large) blade broke when I tried to chop a sweet potato. Finally, the product is WAAAAAY overpriced. I have found a better version of this product for HALF the price. It is called the Chop Wizard and it is made by []. Whoever is running this blog, PLEASE do your readers a service and get this message to them before they waste money on an overpriced Nicer Dicer like I did!

I loved it when I first got it,but it got dull very quickly. Than the spaces bent on the larger dicer. I had it 2 months, and ended up throwing it out.

I could never dice onions because my eyes would start burning and I would give up. Now I can dice all the onions I want. I also chop bell peppers and chili peppers, hard boiled eggs, pickles, apples, pears and of course potatoes. It only takes a few seconds.

Great for chopping onions. I julienne zucchini and yellow squash and keep it on had for stir frying. Also good for potatoes. It is a bit difficult to clean around the small spaces in the blade because the base is round instead of square. I have had to use a tooth pick to clean out the small spaces.
