Not as great as i expected

1/28/2006 - Jen of British Columbia, Canada writes:

The informaerical made it sound so irrisistable that i had to buy it and try it out for myself! When i first got it i tried the juice extractor which was horrible! It couldn't extract carrot juice! I even cut the carrots into tiny chunks so it wouldnt have such a hard time at juicing it! But it wouldn't juice! After abt 10 mins i have already given up! This machine is great for doing small things. But blending ice was hard too!you will have to put liquid in there before u start blending it or else it will get stuck! i wouldnt buy it if i were you! Its a waste of money!

it works but has few problems...

1/20/2006 - Robert of Ontario, Canada writes:

While this product works, it has some non-trivial shortcomings. It comes with two kinds of blades, one for soft food and one for hard. The hard food one chews up the rubber seal ring the first time I used it. It is also VERY noisy. It is just a compact blender, It works if you blend food with liquids, otherwise the food sticks to the container very badly! And you have hard time knocking the container trying to shake the food loose from sticking! Terrible! It is no where as easy as you see them do it on the infomercial. As I said it is only good for stuff like milk shake, anything with liquid. Forget it if you want to juice an apple or an orange! You would be better off using a $10 hand juicer!

timesaver!

1/20/2006 - Mike of Indiana, USA writes:

This is a wonderful machine. I have had mine a year and I must say even when I barely use it at all, I'm still using it once a week. I can do things in (like chop onions) in only a few seconds and then put them straight into a pan. No tears. I can make shakes all day long with it. I've made more drinks with this thing than actual foods. I've made the salsa a few times per the instructions and it was VERY good. I've made the spaghetti sauce and alfredo sauce, both of which were very good. It's a good machine to get creative with and will take some abuse. I did break one blade though, but I was doing something I shouldn't have been doing. :( Luckilly the chopping blade is only around 9$ to replace, so all is not lost. I have recommended this to everyone I know.

I LOVE THIS !

1/19/2006 - Amanda of Ontario, Canada writes:

I bought one of these from the infomercial, and have used it countless times, have purchased a second for myself, and 3 as gifts for others. I love throwing everything in and blending. It works much faster and mixes more thoroughly than my traditional blender does, with easier cleanup! If you like smoothies or mixed frozen drinks (daquiries, margaritas etc) nothing makes it faster. The only downfall is that you must make sure the rubber gasket is firmly lodged, otherwise it becomes entangled and chopped!

Not as it seems

1/9/2006 - Gene of Arizona, USA writes:

I bought this piece of crap after watching an infomercial and was sadly dissappointed. It now sits in a closet unused. I tried making tuna salad with it and it purees everything including tuna. The only thing I find it is good for is making health shakes but I already have a blender for that purpose. Probably will dontae it to Good Will eventually.

Does What it Claims

1/1/2006 - Mindy of Hawaii, USA writes:

I bought this from our [] Store at []. It was so much fun to use. I made hummus and salsa and some drinks - even made pesto for dinner. One drawback is the recipes aren't realistic. For the salsa-if you put the recommended amounts it comes out kinda soupy. Just need to learn to adjust for preference. I bought one for my mother-in-law and she makes a smoothy every day. She even made pancakes with it (we got it with the blender attachment). I used the juicer attachment and it worked fine for me. Ice is a little tricky to crush, you still get some chunks. It makes awesome whipped cream and chocolate mousse. Yummy!!!

A Staple Kitchen Appliance

12/23/2005 - Rachel of Georgia, USA writes:

I purchased the magic bullet from the infomercial about a year ago. I had a few problems at first with a couple of the accesories breaking and the customer service was fantastic. Within a week of my e-mail I had all new parts sitting at my front door no questions asked. Since then I've had no problems at all and I use the magic bullet about 5 times a week. I've since purchased on for the office (we're big smoothie junkies) and I gave one to my mom for her birthday as well!! I would advise anyone to try it out and take the time to master the techniques. Once you do, you'll wonder what you did without it!!

Great Product

12/17/2005 - Nora of Texas, USA writes:

I've had the Magic Bullet for nearly two years and it still works great. It has yet to dull and we use it often. For some jobs, you may want only a chop but because the blades are so sharp, you may get a fine mince. Be sure to only pulse for chopping. Its great for smoothies and fruit drinks so buy the blender attachment if you have a family; really crushes ice and frozen fruit. Also great for turning graham crackers into crumbs for pie crusts and for grinding coffee beans. This product has been great in our household. I would recommend it to anyone!

So far impressed

10/23/2005 - Krista of Ontario, Canada writes:

I've bought lots of infomercial products before so I was a little worried it wouldn't add up to the hype but am pleasantly surprised. I bought mine from a store so no shipping. Drawbacks to this is that I didn't get the blender attachment or the juicer attachment but its not a big loss because I already have a blender (not that I use it often because of the pain of cleaning it). So far I've made smoothies, Slim fast shakes with extras and I made a fab cheese sauce for pasta. Magic Bullet gets my vote. It does what I bought it for and clean up so fart not so painful. Love having extra mugs so as not having to do dishes all the time.

Does not perform as advertised

10/23/2005 - Rosemary of Arizona, USA writes:

The Bullet is only good for mixing drinks. It does not chop or grind as it is advertised to do. I feel it is over priced for what it can be used for. However, I will keep it for its size, looks and being able to keep it on the counter.

Love it but juicer sucks

10/18/2005 - Connie of Georgia, USA writes:

The magic bullet works great for small jobs....especially if you are single. Its like a mini blender and it sure beats washing out those bulky blenders. I love it but the free juicer that comes with it is USELESS! I followed the directions accordingly and didnt get but 2 drops of juice. Other than that, this item is great. try Jack lalanes juicer- now that thing JUICES!!

100% for some things, 30% for others.

10/6/2005 - Carol of Wisconsin, USA writes:

I use my bullet blender 5 days a week for latte's, protein shakes, thin batters, scrambling eggs before cooking, and grinding coffee beans, and for these things the Magic Bullet is fast and awesome!  But, if you are buying this product to chop, (ex. salsa's egg/chicken salads), don't waste your money or add frustration - it basically pulverises things to a pulp - it's super for one thing - blending/chopping to a puree.  Our lattes are akin to Starbucks, but I'll hand chop for meats, vegetables, etc. So...I give it a 100% for blending, 30% (or less) for cutting/chopping. If it works for what you want - go for it!

Great Kitchen Tool

9/19/2005 - Donna of Arizona, USA writes:

I LOVE this product!  I love to make smoothies and this blender, is used on a daily basis.  It is the best blender, chopper I have had including Vitamix.  This is so easy to clean and fun for the kids to make their favorite drinks.  It makes great omelets and salsa. I liked it so much that I purchased a second one to keep in the Motor Home.  It doesn't take up the space of other mixers and does so much more! This is a great product, I would highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys blended drinks or making sauces.

Very versatile...

9/5/2005 - Jaemi of New York, USA writes:

It does what the infomercial states. It does take some getting used to. It is also very portable. I take mine to work for protein shakes and last mintue chopping and mixing of fresh vege's when we have a potluck. I would certainly buy this product again.

Good for Protein Shakes

9/2/2005 - Rusty of Maryland, USA writes:

This product is good for protein shakes, ice cream shakes, but when it comes to juicing, it has a low rating. When you watch the commercial closely, what happens to the pulp? As for cleaning, overall, it is a pain. When those circular rings pop out, they are a pain to put back in.

9/1/2005 - Roy of Texas, USA writes:

I havnt had the chance to use all the accessories, so far it makes great milk shakes! Its small and easy to use, easy to clean, feels solid and seems like it will last for a long time. A friend of mine uses it 2+ times a day to make protein shakes and he loves it.... thats why I bought mine

Big Dissapointment

8/31/2005 - Anonymous of Oregon, USA writes:

My family was so excited the evening we ordered the magic bullet.  We were drawn in to the infomercial, the ease of use, and the amazing and quick snacks and meals it would prepare.  We were sorely dissappointed in the product once it arrived.  We couldn't get it to properly chop ice for a smoothy or chicken for the chicken salad, despite multiple attempts.  We returned the magic bullet, but much to our dismay this lapse in judgement cost us $65!   $40 non-refundable shipping and handling and $25 shipping to return it.   Lesson learned.

Saves space

I bought it a few months ago after seeing it on tv. On average I use it about 3-4 times a month. I like it and haven't had problem yet.

You NEED this product!

8/13/2005 - Amber of Georgia, USA writes:

I was pretty sckeptical when i bought this blender, but my old blender had just broke and low and behold I found it at [] on sale. SO I said why not. I ordered it and I think im in love. It really does everything it was described to do. Though I warn you, the pulsing technique takes a few tries to master. THe first couple of times you end up with pureed veggies. But its worth the time and the money. I seriously use this everyday. The attachable mugs that come with it are also great, I use those every morning with my protein shakes.

I love it.

8/12/2005 - Matt of Georgia, USA writes:

The Magic Bullet is great. It does everything that they describe on the informercial. The juicer attachment is really fun too, because you can make lots of cool stuff. The only drawback is that it is really really powerful. If you don't get the "pulse technique" down you will demolish all your food. It only take a few tries to figure it out though.
