WASTED MONEY

10/20/2006 - Kathy of New York, USA writes:

I was so excited to receive this product after seeing 'all it does' on TV. I received the product and made a milkshake. The motor smelled like it was burning, and then that was it. I followed the instructions to the letter. It was a waste of money.

Love It!

10/19/2006 - Tobi of California, USA writes:

I love this thing! I use it all the time! Great for garlic butter, smoothies, I do have to say it isn't good for chopping, it's more of a mush. I also don't care for the juicer part.I mostly use it for drinks and sauces. It's small and easy to work with. Easy to clean.

It doesn't work as they claim

10/12/2006 - Simona of Arizona, USA writes:

I bought the magic bullet thinking that my days of chopping onions and garlic were gone. I quickly realized that the magic bullet doesn't chop anything without turning them into mush, it doesn't do salsa as the commercial says. No matter how careful you are and follow all their instructions, it doesn't work as the infomercial says.

Does not work as marketed

10/1/2006 - Am of California, USA writes:

I wanted this mostly to make smoothies and salsa. It does neither well. It doesn’t cut frozen fruits or ice for smoothies without a burning smell from the motor…even when pulsing as directed in the manual. It does not chop vegetables, it just turns them to pulp. Even firmer veggies, like peppers, get turned into sludge even with careful monitoring and pulsing. It does make a really frothy chocolate milk but its not worth the money.

Adequate for certain tasks

10/1/2006 - Michael of New Mexico, USA writes:

It's great for pureeing and pulverizing anything that is put into it; something I do for marinades. But for chopping or crushing, there are much better products on the market. I find inexpensive and simple products from Black and Decker are more that adequate.

I like it - doesn't work for everything though.

9/29/2006 - Joanna of Florida, USA writes:

I think it works well, but not on everything. I have yet to chop onions with it mashing them to pulp, no matter how I try - same with tomatoes. It also doesn't chop cheese well (even though cheese is straight out of the fridge and cold and hard) - just kind of grinds it - using both blades. It IS FANTASTIC for smoothies and milkshakes and chopping ice - anything that needs blending. Chopping? Like I said, turns everything into mush, but i use it every day to make smoothies and milkshakes and whipped cream etc.

A product I could not be without

9/27/2006 - Pam of Arizona, USA writes:

I use the magic bullet all the time and could not be without it. We use it mostly for smoothies and I was surprised that there would be any negative reviews at all. I prefer to use it over a blender becaue of how fast and easy to clean it is. I wish I had another one because I take it back and forth with me when I travel to our vacation home.

Okay for one person

9/24/2006 - Julie of New York, USA writes:

This product is fine if you're living alone, but if you want to make more than one drink, it'll take forever. It does a good job with drinks, but doesn't crush ice. It still takes up lots of room because there are several cups to store, plus I bought a regular blender to make larger batches. Overall, not worth it.

Great product

9/24/2006 - Dana of Illinois, USA writes:

Bought it at a local store. Great little product for smoothies, mixing and pureeing. Did not try to chop ice, probably won't. Cleaning is very, very easy. I like it at lot and have recommended it to my friends.

Broke on 2nd use!

9/13/2006 - Jennifer of Minnesota, USA writes:

The first time I used it, it pureed my peppers instead of chopping them (with pulsing). The second time I used it, the motor burned out making a frozen yougurt drink. The commercial is too good to be true.

Doesn't cruch ice

9/7/2006 - Jerry of New York, USA writes:

I bought this primarily to make frozen drinks. It did not crush the ice as seen in the IC and the motor was weak and it smelled. Very disappointed. I caught the IC again and then noticed that the ice they are using has already been crushed. They are not using ice cubes. I returned mine and bought a blender that crushes ice and make great frozen drinks.

More yes than no!

8/30/2006 - Ed of Washington, USA writes:

I have used this for over 1 year. There is a learning curve. It isn't as easy as the infomercial but it does work well with most things if you read the manual and do what it says. Don't run it for more than a minute at a time and as you pulse shake the food down to the blades. Some things work better with liquids some better without. When this one dies I will order another.

It doesn't do what the infomercial shows!

8/27/2006 - Lori of Missouri, USA writes:

I love this product for shakes and drinks, & even omeletes. However, there are MAJOR inconsistencies in what this can do, as stated in the infomercial. You can't crush ice & vegetables don't grind up evenly. Some will be in chunks, and others like liquid. The cups need to be larger, & there needs to be a way to order replacement parts (and you will), especially if you have tried to crush ice. You also can't pack the cups full like they show on TV. I've been using mine for quite a long time now, been thru & thru their instruction booklet. Some things just AREN'T as they show, but for drinks like shakes-it's great. I think they need to come down on the price or make some improvements.

Does Not Chop Ice

8/7/2006 - David of New York, USA writes:

I bought the magic bullet. You have too make the blades so tight to keep them from leaking that I had to use the vice to open them. The motor does not have that much power and smells of electric. I've tried to grind ice but at times of ice got caught at the top of the cup. It is good for making milkshakes I’ve not tried to grind or chop vegetables. I do not think it was worth the price.

Very Satisfied User

7/31/2006 - Michael of New York, USA writes:

I have used my Magic Bullet for about one year and it has performed as the infomercial says it should. I use it mostly for drinks, smoothies and the like, with excellent results. Don't expect to make liver and whey shakes, ala Joe Pendleton in Heaven Can Wait. Use your Vita Mix for that. But, if you're looking for a quick blender with clean-up time approaching zero, this is the hot setup.

Save your money!

7/25/2006 - Alycia of Ontario, Canada writes:

This product is definately not worth the money. They make it look so easy on the infomercial. My mom and I both bought one and they both sit on our counters useless. The thing does not chop unless you are a pro at working it (good luck) and it just turns everything into mush! Even for shakes it's more of a pain than anything. The cups are too small and they leak half the time. Save your money and buy a real good blender!

Like it so much I have 2 now!

7/24/2006 - Michael of Florida, USA writes:

I bought my first one [] and used it 5x a week making my breakfast protein shakes. Then I took it to a party where a lot of mixed drinks were made in the bullet and it broke. I think someone held it on for wayyy to long and killed the motor. I exchanged it at store and bought a 2nd one. Now I have one in the garage and one in the kitchen and use it on average 5-8 times a week. I love this little thing!

great product

7/6/2006 - Sharon of North Carolina, USA writes:

i just love this. it doesn't take up much room, is easy to use and easy to clean. the only problem i've had is with the gasket... it sometimes comes out of place and i end up shredding it! (i think this is an "operator" problem, and not a product problem) it would be nice to be able to locate a supplier so i can have extras on hand.

Well Worth The Buy

7/1/2006 - Bernie of New York, USA writes:

Instead of buying a coffee grinder, I chose the bullet, because of the cool commercial. What a great decision. I purchased the version without the juicer. The product is a great coffee grinder. It's a great smoothie maker. I love making alfredo and pesto sauce with it. Be careful when making chocolate mousse with it if you let it whip for longer than 20 seconds it will separate the water from the milk and curdle. Great and fun product nonetheless.
