Beware of the

11/12/2008 - Larry of AL, USA writes:

The Majic Bullet blender performs good but is nothing special. The product comes with a Free box of bullet boost. In the fine print you accept a subscription to receive shipments of the Bullet Boost every two months at an outrageous price. They will not refund your money after they ship the bullet boost to you. I will never buy anything from this company again. Buyer beware. Run very far away.

It works like it says...

10/24/2008 - Niki of il, usa writes:

...but I don't use it very much. I think they only thing I've made with my magic bullet is mixed drinks. It makes really nice strawberry margaritas and frozen coffee drinks. I never use it. It takes longer than 10 seconds to use. It still works and cleans up nicely. I didn't buy it from the infomercial or online. I bought it at []. It was cheaper but it didn't come with the juicer or the blender. I don't really need either of those because I doubt I'd use those either.

Very Satisfied

10/18/2008 - Rich of FL, USA writes:

I bought mine at a Mega Retailer for $49. I've only had it about 3 months, and while I dont use it everyday, it's used several times a week. I use it for mixing scrambled eggs, pancake batter, salad dressings, chopping onion, frozen drinks and lots more. No complaints so far. I have both a 16 speed blender and a large dispensing smoothie maker as well and they are both collecting dust now. I did go to the website and purchase the 2 year extended warrantee for it (just in case), but for 14.95 it was cheap insurance. Thumbs up for this product.

Great for shakes and smoothies!

10/14/2008 - Jason of Texas, USA writes:

My wife bought this a year ago, we use it all the time to make shakes and smoothies. My favorite thing is to take frozen strawberries and blueberries, a bit of juice (apple works well), some ice and water, and blend them up. Makes a great and healthy smoothie that doesn't cost much.

Garbage

10/11/2008 - Deneen of NC, USA writes:

I bought one of these at a local retail store; I wanted to upgrade and get the juicer attachments so I contacted the customer service department; they told me that I couldn't do that; I would have to take photo's of the item and upload them so I could prove that what I had was the magic bullet! What a scam; what do they care if I had the magic bullet or something else? They said if I ordered another one, I could get the juicer; Why would I want 2? Then, the motor burned up. I bought the equivalent from [] for a lot cheaper and it works much better. I'll never buy anything from homeland housewares again.

Works great but did have

10/9/2008 - Amy of Ontario, Canada writes:

I bought mine over two years before I moved out of my childhood home. I tried the salsa but I probably didn't do it right. Recently I did use it to make delcious alfredo sauce. Well I heated it, and didn't use enough liquid so after being heated and before I put the cross blade on it exploded. I changed over the the maranaria and it was wonderful. This product may not be perfect but for small meals, or Coffee. It's perfect. I haven't tested it for mixed drinks or smoothies but I intend to. I love it. The only thing I worry about that I've been warned about by someone on [] is about the over heating and the non safety shut off. Other then that great product exactly as advertised. No Product is 100% perfect. For everything it does or can possibly do it does do it well.

It's not all great

10/5/2008 - Mary of New York, USA writes:

We bought the magic bullet at the store and really enjoyed it. We lost one of the pieces to it and was unable to replace it because we didn't know what to replace it with! I would buy anther one just because it really did serve it's purpose. It might not be perfect but it does do a lot of what the infomercial say it does. I'm rating it 4 stars because it gets dirty easily and sometimes if you overfill it it'll overflow and drip but that's human error.

Good for the road.

9/22/2008 - IJK of New York, USA writes:

I got one to save space when using our RV trailer. I find it does well with whipping cream, making pancake style omlettes, and smoothies and frozen drinks. It does less well with choppind, specially onions as they get almost liquified. All in all it does most of what they claim in the infomercial, though not all the recipes came out as claimed. It is very easy to clean and rakes up less space than a blender and mini-food processor. Very good customer service via phone.

Does as advertised.

9/8/2008 - Ariel of Nevada, USA writes:

Sometimes on an infomercial you'll find the product doesn't work as well as they say it does but the magic bullet really does make most things in 10 seconds. However sometimes when i make my milkshakes it takes more like 1-2 mins. It however is not AS quiet as they say it is but once it gets past the main chopping it does quiet down. This really is a product we use at least once a week. The individual cups was a great idea. One time my sister and her boyfriend came over and wanted a milkshake and with the idividual cups it was easy to make the different drinks. Be careful with the cups because once i was using a cups and i pressed down too hard and one of the knobs on the side of the cups came off. Still if you turn it the right way it still blends which is a good thing.

It is very good.

9/2/2008 - Herlina of CA, USA writes:

I bought it about three years ago. It is still good now. I usually use it as a coffee blender, it works well. If you want to use it to make food (such as lunch or dinner), you have to cut items in small pieces. I bought the second one for my work place. I love it. By the way, the big juice blender which included is not good anyway.

Great for drinks

8/28/2008 - John of Michigan, USA writes:

I got a Magic Bullet from my girlfriends grandma for free. We make magaritas with it and they are actually not too bad, I like the cups are what you blend in. The only thing I've had go wrong with it, is my old roommate didn't put the mixer part back on right and it leaked into the base and caused the unit to stick on but only for a second or so, I cleaned it up with a steamer and it worked fine again. I did try to make peanut butter with it but that was so so, had to shake it and it took a while. Other than that I like it.

Works great on a few things

8/12/2008 - pirateship44@yahoo.com of Wisconsin, usa writes:

I'd seen the infomercial many times, and decided to purchase one for my household thinking I would use it for a lot of food prep. Recipe tries: I tried making the chicken salad they made on the infomercial and ended up with large cuncks of chicken and some mushy onions. I also tried to make the salsa as outlined in their recipe book and ended up with a watery tomato mush. I also attempted making the pesto in their recipe book and found out microwaving in the bullet cup is a really bad idea. The cup is visibly melted and the pesto became a big lump of semi-hard cheese. I tried this a second time, and wan't very happy with the texture of the pesto again. I also tried the hummus recipe, and have to say this was a great success. Granted, I had to remove the blade from the cup and manually stir stuff around so everything would get chopped, it was great to beable to store my hummus in the same container I made it in. Lastly I find the best thing the MB is good for is frozen drinks. Add some ice some mix, and your favorite alchoholic beverage and you've got a ready made cup. I did this with some friends and we all had a lot of fun making our own speciallized margaritas. Cons:Anything that isn't water based will stick to the cup, making it nearlly imposible to properly chop/mix everything in the cup. People with larger sized hands will have them cut while trying to clean them in a sink; the plastic edges are very sharp! I lost one of the small pads on the bottom and now it likes to shake around a bit. Pros: Small and easy to use. Great for doing slushies and shakes, and decent for hummus. Overall I like it for doing a couple of things, but this product doesn't do nearly everything it suggests in its infomercial. It works best for making mush out of anything it touches, so don't try doing some rough cut veggies. You'll have either really big pieces or a nice mush.

Great for Fruit Smoothies

8/8/2008 - Rick of NC, USA writes:

Excellent product for making fruit smoothies. Having the mugs double as the mixer and drinking glass makes clean up a breeze. Contrary to any implications from the commercial, frozen fruit takes a good 15 to 20 seconds to completely blend though. Using all frozen berries leaves little ice crystals but that can be remedied by adding some soft frozen fruit such as mango/melon or any fresh fruit. Have used for well over a year, up to 5 or 6 times a week with no problems. Some of the little tabs on the mugs have broken off but as long as there is one left (out of three) the mug still functions as a mixing glass. The small and large cups also work well for microwaving single serve size vegetables. On the negative side, the nut chopper/grinder is a waste. Left with half mush and half whole pieces. I can't comment on other claims, making salsa/dip etc. as I use it almost exclusively for the smoothies.

Great item most of the time

8/3/2008 - Sandy of FL, United States writes:

This item is great when it works. It is easy to clean, the cups are great for storage, and the blender has a great capacity. The only thing that is bad is sometimes the blade pieces get stuck on cups or the blender. The blender makes great milkshakes and smoothies.

Works great for some things

7/30/2008 - lary of az, usa writes:

Use the Bullet almost daily for shakes (powder plus several ice cubes) - works great although the blade snapped after 3+ years, customer service quoted a reasonable price for a replacement (on order). Also used it for some sauces and pate but never had the same great results as the infomercial. Not bad, but not great. Except the juicer. It is more masher than juicer and you can wring more juice out of the pulp than you get from the Bullet. Overall I'm pleasantly surprised at how tough the Bullet has been and how well it works. One note: read the book, follow the rules; they work.

Love It! Love It! Love It!

7/16/2008 - Diane of tennessee, usa writes:

I've had my bullet for over 3 years. I'm just now ordering a new cross blade. I use it every day for our smoothies. I like blueberry, my husband likes strawberry and banana, and my daughter likes strawberry only. Each can have what they want and I don't have to stop and clean the blender to make a different smoothie. And no extra glasses to mess up. It's awesome. Not bulky like a big blender you have to pull out. I just whip it out of the drawer, use it, then back in the drawer. I hate dragging out a big blender just for one shake. That's why I now have a shake every morning for breakfast. It's so easy! Individual frozen mixed drinks are a snap too. My friends love making their own flavor of margaritas. I've had no problem with the ice crushing. You do need to make sure you have enough liquids to mix the fruit. I admit I don't use it for much of anything else. But I do use is every day. Breakfast is now a breeze and great for on the go.

Not well made

7/15/2008 - brandi henderson of ID, United States writes:

Good idea, not made correctly. I does not make things in the time it says. It takes 4x times as long. Just buy a real blender. The only good things i have to say about it is the size. We live in an apartment and the size is nice, but i rarely use it and wasted my money..

Dangerous!!!!!

7/5/2008 - Lauren of Florida, USA writes:

I got this for my husband after he had seen the infomercial several times. Once we used it, we realized that once you plugged it in, the spinner started going, even without the cup on it! The only way to get it to stop is to unplug it! My neighbors have one and theirs works okay and we spent an afternoon comparing them, and couldn't figure out why ours was going without the cup on. Unfortunately, I bought it from [] and had lost the receipt, so I couldn't return it. It went right into the gargbage before my son got a hold of it. Beware!!!
