Haven't had to exercise EVER . . . well, until now when I'm in my late 40s (47 to be exact). Between hormonal changes and the weight a woman gains in her 40s, I thought I'd better give exercising a try. UGH! My worst nightmare - I'd have to exercise. Then I saw HHAs advertised on TV. I like hip-hop/rap music and dancing so thought I'd like the approach as well as NOT having to go to a gym (I know I'd never do that). I've been using HHAs for 3 weeks and have lost 5 pounds to date. I combine the tapes to my specific needs and I don't follow the dietary plan but I'm already on a diet that worked for me 4 years ago. I have more energy and a spriteness to my walk. ANY exercise is what I'm looking for and HHA makes it fun. I'm exercising 30 minutes a day and I'm very encouraged.

I bought this item because I was sick of all the Billy Blanks DVDs I had. My worst problem area is my stomach so I figured I would give this a try. I have to say, it was a lot of fun and even though Sean T. is a bit goofy, he is funny and will motivate you! He makes working out fun again! I would recommend this to anyone!

hi, my story is a little different, i just turned 18, and i use to be a dancer, classes everyday, i was a rather fit girl but then 2 years ago i was in a car accident and was told i should no longer dance. Now i have healed enough that i can lightly start up again. Over those two years, as im sure you can imagine i started to gain weight. I wasnt large, but was about 130, and i am only 5'2. My mom ordered hiphop abs for us to try out over the summer and i have fallen in love. I forgot how much i adored workingout and dancing! I have not fallowed the diet plan but have done the work out 5 times, taking one day off in the middle and have lost 6 inches already. I am amazed. I honestly think that as long as i believe in this program it will work, and i am now a firm believer!

I have been using HHA for a week. I did not follow the eating plan or the workout plan that was included. For the past 7 days every morning I have been doing the Fat Burning Cardio routine. I have in 1 week lost 6lbs and 1 inch from each thigh, arm and 2 in. from my waist (6 in total). I did kind of cut back on my food portions, but my food choices were basically the same as before I started HHA. I did decide to do what one of the guides in the packet suggested which was to try not eat close to my betime. That may have helped also. So far I am satisfied with the product. I had my baby about 10 months ago and instead of losing I've been gaining. I like to dance so this workout was fun. I am not a professional dancer so it was still a challenge. Shaun T is goofy but he keeps you going. I like the fact that after the workout I am tired but not pass out tired. I also like the time at the bottom of the videos so when you think about stopping you can say, "Only a few more seconds." It really motivated me to continue. I think I will continue the workout this week but on Wednesday I am going to ad the total body burn workout and do the 5 minute workout at night. I will try to update my progress (or lack thereof) at least every two weeks. You can rate this fake if you want to but my results are real. Overall I give this product 4 stars. It'll get 5 stars when I am about 25-30 lbs lighter.

I am on my 2nd day of using Hip Hop Abs and I am loving it. I can feel my core starting to harden and am feeling like I actually get a workout! I don't need to lose weight, but want to have a flat stomach and this is definitly the right tool for that hope. Shaun T. is motivating, funny, and inspires you to keep coming back for more and more. You get the moves pretty quick and he guides you through them. It's an awsome product and I would recommend it for everyone who wants sexy abs and a flat stomach!

I've lost 5 inches in 3 weeks! Next month I turn 47 and I cannot believe how this product has helped me tone up. On top of that it's fun!

This product is good and the workout is more like a dance than a workout. The music is not the same you hear on the radio and it is mostly just upbeat music. I enjoy the music. The workouts are easy to do and if you are having trouble getting motivated to do any exercise at all.. this is very easy to get into. The moves are fun and I do not get bored. I still do situps and crunches on the ground but I do sweat and I feel my body being worked out. The total body burn is really a burn and 40 minutes long. Some of the other workouts could be longer. Good product but I think if there is another level of hip hop abs dvd's that they should have been included for free

I think this product is great! Works your entire body, and more so focuses on the core, because after all, core workouts are the center to flat abs. I feel the difference especially after Total Body Burn and Ab Sculpt. I'm going to start adding weights to this as well, but I have been using it for a month and totally feel it. I recommend it by far.

I received my HHA dvd's last week and did 4 workouts so far and have lost 3 lbs. I have been working out with other dvd's, but I really like Shaun T, he give ques before he starts the next new move and also shows how to do it slowly before going to tempo. My favorite it Total Body Burn, I had alot of energy after my workout and I felt sore the next day. If you like to dance and workout this is the best dvd to add to your weekly routine.

I think hip hop abs is a great work out video especially for people who cannot afford gym membership or don't like sit up. I think hip hop abs is just a regular exercise that you can do at home; therefore, it will take time before you start seeing some improvement. Personally, I have been using hip hop abs for about two weeks, I can feel the different, but not "see" the different yet. So, if you think you will lose tons of weight and inches in a short time period, you may be disappointed. HOwever, if you are willing to commit to it for couple months, you may see some results. Plus, the special technique taught be Shaun T in the "secret to flat abs" is extremely important because it determines how fast you will get ur abs. I personally think that it is hard to incorporate that into some of the dance moves. The bottom line is, I think the video is great, it just take time and effort just like going to the gym (but may be more entertaining).

Being an athlete, I have worked out all my life. I got to the point of goign to the gym. I saw Hip Hop Abs, and thought, that would be fun and a change. In the first week, I dropped 2 pounds. In one month, I had to go buy some more pants because the one I had were fitting to loose. I have cancelled my gym membership. Everyone notices my weight lose and it feels good. this products does work!!!

Hip hop abs does work. Ive been doing it solid for 7 weeks now,and have notice a huge improvement in my whole body, ive lost 4 inches in my waist, chest and butt. I can see how you can get bored with the music, but you can always play your own music over the dvd. Shaun T is very upbeat and positive instructor. I can see the abs starting to develope. I agree that you have to like dancing and be some what cordinated for this program, but its helped me in that regard to. I highly recommend hip hop abs. You go Shaun T.

UPDATE: I am 43 and mom of three. I have done it all from aerobics, stepping, the Firm, you name it. I really like this...but I'm old. My oldest daughter (22) thought it was cheesy. My youngest (7) loves it as much as I do. I like the fact that it feels Shaun T is talking directly to me and he looks like he is enjoying himself immensely. Tamilee Webb did the same in her Buns of steel workouts. Anyway, I think this is definitely worth the money and I'm on my way to [] to buy the level 2 workouts. I think I may also purchase the Turbo Jam so I can interchange these. I workout every morning and I do tend to get bored with the same old same old. But, for now, it's fun.

UPDATE: I have been doing Hip Hop Abs consistently for over 1 month. I have to say, I am sore pretty much everywhere. But I have noticed such an improvement in my Abs, shoulders, hips and legs. I took a month to move onto the hardest workout--"Total Body Burn", but "Total B B" is melting off the fat pretty much everywhere. So, in two weeks, I'm moving onto Hip Hop Abs level 2. I love this workout so much. And "Shaun T" keeps me so motivated, that even after I workout, I still have the moves (like 'the freak') in my mind and I practice moves to get them just right. I'm psyched, and want to improve my moves every week. And even through this workout makes me sweat like a crazy person, I still love it.

Ordered 2 weeks ago, DVDs arrived yesterday. 1st workout this morning and man, am I feeling it tonight! I did the Fat Burning Cardio DVD and was out of breath the whole way through. (I'm not in shape, yet, though.) And tonight my shoulders ache, my quads, calves, and especially my back, just under the shoulder blades. It feels like I've been kicked in the kidneys. I'm not really feeling it in my abs, yet, but that's probably because I hurt everywhere else. ;) .... Just based on how worn out I was this morning, I'm betting this program burns the calories right off! I'll update after a week to see if I've lost any pounds/inches. NOTE: 4 stars for cost.

When I first saw the infomercial on TV I was like, No way, Shaun T. used to teach fitness classes at my work. He was known as Shaun Taylor back then but his classes were always packed and he was a favorite instructor. Other than his name, Hip Hop Abs is very faithful to those classes he used to teach and I highly recommend it.

I have to say I wasn't sure if this would actually work, but it really did. I didn't do that crazy 6 day slim down diet that was included because it cuts out breads and that is just unhealthy and impossible for me to do! So I just tried to eat extra healthy but without removing anything from my diet (except crappy food) and I did hip hop abs only 4 times (the cardio one) and I lost three pounds! I am still astounded, it really didn't even seem like I was doing enough to have lost that much that quickly. So I'd reccomend it, but not the diet included and it also can get a bit boring doing the same thing over and over so it's good to switch up the videos. Enjoy!

This is definitely not a program 4 rhythmnly challenged people. You have to put a little bit of everything to HHA. I bought it 4 weeks ago and it really does work! I lost 7 pounds and 3 inches in 2 wks! I also had to cut calories but that's manadatory when losing weight. They also include helpful brochures on eating better and I love the motto 4 beachboy: Decide.Commit.Suceed. This workout package is a true investment to get the body you want. Shaun T is funny 2! Kept me laughing the whole way through. A definite keeper in heavy rotation in my exercise dvd collection! Stop being skeptical and take my word 4 it and try it! It's 4real!

I received HHA a week and a half ago. I did the first workout, Fat Burning Cardio in the evening after I got home. It wasn't difficult, each new move broken down so that it is easy to learn, the pace picks up and combos are put together. It was extremely fun, ShaunT is easy to look at (not annoying), I broke good sweat and was within my target heart rate. Some of the other workouts (Hips, Buns, & Thighs) are for targeting certain areas and are less about the "dancy" moves. ShaunT adds some extra "oomph" that makes it just a bit more fun. I recommend this for beginners wanting a fun workout, and for intermediate to advanced wanting something different to add to their current workouts. I combine this with Turbo Jam, P90X, and miscellaneous kickboxing and strength training videos. I fell off the wagon for 3 months and HHA helped me back on by renewing my enthusiasm.
