My wife wanted to buy these at a local Showcase store (where they sell products advertised primarily in infomercials). I was skeptical, but the price was reasonable and we had some heavy items to hang. The holes are certainly no smaller than a nail, but if you're working with drywall these are significantly easier to use, and much better than typical drywall anchors. My only complaint is that drilling something all the way through a wall is a little scary. I obviously can't see behind it, and have a definite fear of accidentally skewering an electrical wire or something like that. Be aware of where you're using them, certainly.

I bought them through the infomercial, so I probably got screwed on the shipping, and the "free" laser level I got was an inaccurate piece of junk. Big shocker there. As for the Hercules Hooks themselves, though, I couldn't be happier with them. Yes, they only work on certain types of wall, but sheetrock / drywall on 2x4 studs is pretty common. I had no problem at all pushing the hook through by hand (you can twist a little and "drill" through), and I even removed and reused a hook when I decided I didn't like where something was hanging. The hole is tiny, especially compared to a conventional toggle bolt or wall anchor--just a dab of spackle, or even toothpaste, and it's gone. I hung a 15-lb. wrought-iron-framed mirror in minutes, with no tools! Honestly, I used to dread having to hang pictures or mirrors, but now it's no problem!

The first time I used one it came in a small bag on the back of a picture we bought for the office, and I've tried to use these ever since. No they do not glide through the wall like butter, and you are often at an odd angle or height trying to twist & push, but they do work. 150 lbs? I don't know about that, but the office picture was over 30 lbs. and it's still there (5 years later). They are sold else where for less with no S&H. Note: As with all "Life Time Supplies" this is not a good deal, the S&H is over $10.00. OK if they only sent them to you when you ordered more, but not every few months. I don't know about you, but once I have most of my items hung, I may only need 10 more hooks for the rest of my life! Still I do like the product.

Could not get hook into sheet rock without tearing up the area trying to put in . Whun finally got in would not present at the angle needed. Ruined the wall still had to use hook. Bought 2 pkgs, What a waste. Thank goodness only opened one. I am not one to complain. Would not waste my money. Hope company goes back to drawing board. Good Concept if it worked.

Push and twist my eye! The hook did NOT go through the drywall as easily as shown on tv. I finally gave up and used a hammer to gently "tap" it in. So far so good...the clock hasn't fallen off the wall.....yet. The hole it makes,IS just as big as a nail. I liked the free laser level that came with the hooks!

Bought it through TV commercial overpaid for shipping! Product could only hang one large picture out of 4 I tried to hang. The heavy mirror and other large paintings with heavier frames either slipped off the small hook area or started to rip through the drywall and/or I couldn't get the hooks through because of too little space on the inside of the wall.

I really like this product. I had bought 2 wrought (?) iron shelves and I used 2 hooks each and they are still holding up on the wall. I really enjoy that heavy items can be hung with ease :)

These are the perfect solution. They work exactly as advertised, which is rare for infomecials. I wish I would have been the one to have come up with the idea and design. To the person who has plaster walls, of course they do not work for you. Plaster walls have lathes behind them which would prevent the hook from inserting as required. They work beautifully in drywall. I LOVE THEM!

I love these hooks. I purchased some kitchen products for my walls and could not get the hung. Nothing ever goes right where the stud is. I have never liked or had luck with the little plastic pieces that go into sheetrock.I foung Hercules hooks and I used them in my kitchen. Now I have them everywhere in my home. The hole is the same size as some nails, however the hold much better. I bought them at the [], so I did not deal with any shipping or telemarketing. I love these and would reccomend them to anyone. We will be giving these as gifts.

This product has been around for years, just a different company. It does work! It is easy and fast. I've had a picture on a wall that weighs about 35 pounds for years and also a 45 pound Pteradactyl (flying Lizard) for my son. Its for Dry wall! Plaster already has lathes behind it so a regular screw works fine, or use a very small long drill to create the hole then push it in. Duh! Only funny part is that I purchased my package for $3.95 about 7 years ago. So wait until someone clones it before buying it. Hole is so small a touch of paint or filler is all it needs. I came over to a neighbors and she wanted me to hang a multi-shelf with lots of ceramic figures. I used two hook and I was done in three minutes and its holding great. She couldn't believe was so fast, get it at Wallyworld.

These hooks did not just glide into my walls...I am not sure how thick those walls were, on the infomercial, but after a few coats of paint, which most of us have, they simply make a larger hole, due to them having to be "worked" into the wall.

PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK. HAVE BEEN WAY OVER CHARGE. IT does'nt hold a wall lamp no more than 1 lbs. more or less the avertized that it would hold 150lbs not worth the money.

This is one of those rare things that actually do what it's supposed to do... Not a "fix-all", but works great where it can. On a good note, if you hit a stud, at least you know you can use just a naked screw or nail in it's place without the trouble of anchors. I only tried it in sheetrock. It worked flawlessly. They do leave an 1/8th inch hole if removed, but that's it. If you have lots to hang, grab a handful of these and take a hammer and a few nails with you, just in case... that's all you'll need!

I loved this product. I always avoided hanging pictures because I am just not good at it!! WELL... after purchasing these hooks I found myself all over the house hanging pictures. I did not hang any really heavy pictures but the small to medium pictures worked fine and if I hit a stud I just ran over and grabbed a nail .... I knew I wanted the picture in that spot anyway .... Most of the time there was no stud and these hooks only took 5 seconds to pop in and work!!

I bought two packs of the HH. I have plaster walls and could NOT get them to go through. On top of that, I have bad arthritis in my hands. By the time I was done trying to get one in (insuccessfully), the whole was bigger than that of a nail.

I live in an older home and we have plaster walls, the weight of a small 11x13 oil painting created a drag hole where the weight ripped into the wall. I gave them to a friend who has sheetrock and they liked them and use them without difficulty.

Hooks are no substitute for a simple nail when a stud is in the right place. But they work pretty when there is no stud--easy install and less wall damage than other alternatives. My main criticism are the traps built into the automated voice response system when you order. Take extreme care with your answers or you risk surprises on future credit card statements. In my case, I supposedly agreed to a lifetime supply of these things, which means they send more and charge more every 60 days. I honestly don't recall any such agreement and certainly wouldn't have done so intentionally. (Who in their right mind wants 60 hooks a year after the initial order?)

I bought some of these on [] and they work exactly as advertised. I hate looking for a hammer and getting out a nail or using drywall screws or messing with hangers that have two pieces...these are a time- and patience-saver for sure! I have used them all over my house! And when you take it out of the wall, you can barely see the hole! LOVE THEM!

Just used the Hercules Hooks to hang several pictures and a heavy mirror in my home. Only took seconds to get the Hooks in the wall, and it didn't require any tools or damage the walls. I would highly recommend these little gadgets!
