CONS: - The suction is OK, but not much better than the $65 vac I'm trying to replace. It did not take the hair of my pet. This is the main reason I sent it back. - It's definitelly not good enough to justify the trouble of filling up the pit with water and then cleaning it. It took over 24 hours to dry completely (even in a warm Texas day). - Unlike other vaccums, it is tough to store. Too much assemble and disassemble every time you use it. If you have a small house, like I do, you'll probably spend more time putting it together and cleaning it than you will vaccum the house. - It requires too much effort to use. Most vaccums, after the initial assembly, all you gotta do is to empty the dirt container and store it. With the H2O, you have to disassemble it, clean it thoroughly and wait for it to completely dry (24 hours) before you can store it. I found I spent too much time with the machine itself, and my goal was just to have the floors cleaned. - For the money you'll spend shipping it back and with the non refundable mailing cost, you probably can buy a better vaccum at [] PROS: - It's fairly light and doesn't make much noise, wich is good. - The return police works easily and pays you back quickly. My advice would be that you bought something at [] or [] and saved yourself from the trouble of buying something that will require a monk's patiency to like.

I bought H20 vac as I suffer from a severe dust allergy which vacuuming does not help...to say the least. I was very excited about this product and ordered one. It had so many design faults I'm surprised it was passed for sale. It weighed a ton, even worse when full of water. It was awkward to carry. The clip that kept the water unit in place slipped easily causing dirty water to spill out. Suction power..forget it! Low =it doesn't suck at all. High = low. Storage...Impossible unless you have plenty of closet space. Really bulky, inadequate cord storage..just wraps around two flimsy pins! Filters get clogged up after 1 or 2 sessions..£10 to replace Impossible to clean as too many nooks and crannys to get round, some you can't reach at all, cleaning brush supplied is useless. Looks dirty and unhygienic and starts to stink unless you spend about half an hour cleaning it..even then you can't get it spotless To sum up this product is Heavy Noisy cumbersome impossible to clean doesn't suck properly is easily spilled difficult to store expensive PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Would like to give it zero stars instead I have to give it 1 star.."product sucks"..actually that's about the only thing it doesn't do!

It's EXTREMELY loud, it has VERY poor suction, you have to fill up to the max to get any suction at all, it doesn't suck up the liquids as easily as they show in the infomercial, but if you get the hang of it, you can do a pretty good job. oh and if you let the water in it sit for any amount of days, it'll stink... however, it does vacuum without any dust being blown back into the air, it does pick up liquids, it has very nice attachments for vacuuming in the car, and it's not that heavy. now for those who can't empty the container, there's a little black plug at the very tip. try pulling it out. and oh ya, WHO READS THOSE INSTRUCTIONS? the thing is a joke to set up! those 2 papers were the first thing i threw out when i got it. Overall... I must say it's nice but should be used in compliment with a much more powerful vacuum for tough jobs. And it's definitely overpriced. one unit should go for $60 with s&h.

I actually don't mind the H2O vac. First time I used it I thought it was ridiculous because the handle was so short. Then my husband showed me it extends. If you dont' have a power head it is best used if you vacuum by pulling back instead of regular back and forth motion. Cleaning it out is a pain, but manageable. I just empty mine into a toilet and flush. Fill it once more with water from the tub and swish it around and it is pretty clean. I have noticed a great reduction in our allergies since buying this vacuum. It is amazing what it picks up. The water always seems to look like mud after. lol. I love that it is a great wet vac as well. We had a pipe burst in our apartment and that vac sucked up a ton of water. That alone makes it worth having.

My mom saw the infomercial and was excited because her vacuum that she had for over 20 years had quit and she was tired of wasting money on vacuums. She did the 2 for 1 deal so that i could have one for my apt. She used it a couple times and went back to the standup vac. I too hate mine. For one, the plastic hose will not stay attached to each other! I have lost count of how many times my foot has been bruised from it falling off and hitting me mid vacuuming. Secondly it is almost impossible to clean the unit itself! The divider looking things in the water canister prevent the dirt/muck,etc. from dumping out. My canister started growing mold! Needless to say my mom said all she wanted for Christmas was a new rainbow and she got one.

The idea of using water as filter is brilliant but that's about it. the machine itself is really terrible, it doesn't suck as good as they advertise on TV, the extentions breaks with little pressure, is very very hard to clean, so hard that I spend more time triying to clean the vaccum rather then my house. Don't waste your time or money on this product.

3/29/2007 - Mike of Minnesota, USA writes:
In the infomercial they showed picking up a refrigerator with the suction. This is completely misleading. In fact, it does not even have the suction power of a inexpensive regular vacuum cleaner. The container cannot be emptied completely. The opening of the container is so small that an average man's would not fit through it. I hurt my hand trying to remove the lint and other debries before emptying the water container.

the H2O vac is much better than I expected. I have a dog whose hair is extermely difficult to vaccuum out of my couches.other types of machines did very poor jobs. the H2O vac works amazing on that. It can be messy when it comes time to clean out the water, but I prefer the minor hassle over the nasty dust that bags and even bagless machines make when you dump them. besides this is environmentally better than tossing bags into the garbage or blowing dust into the air.

I wish i would have seen this website before i bought it 1 the water resevoir- HArd to empty - still has junk in it wont completely come out. 2- the air piece that goes on when you take the hepa out(for the sprayer) DOESNT stay On it keeps flying off 3.NOT better than my regular VAC- IT doesnt SUCK up as much as my regular vac.. power is pretty crappy 4. it tips over becasue the part that supposed to hold it in place is flimsy - and all the water flys out 5.The attachments are pretty cheap 6.ITS HEAVY the infmercial LIED its pretty heavy ThEY LIE And falsefy their ads so Beware I would Not reccomend this product the only good part is it sucks up liquid... BUT by the Time i get the vacuum ready with water and stuff.. I can clean the Floor with a mop or something 10 times

Firstly I was shocked at the shipping costs of almost $100. Packaged well, that was good. Instructions were unclear as to which tool fit what. The hose is very hard and ridgid, the brushes for the floor/carpet are short, sparse and hard. The worst thing, the noise followed by the air that blows out like a jet engine. It kicks up more dust and fur balls than it picks up. Cleaning the water filter tray is a nightmare, sand and small rocks stay forever caught in the maze like bottom and all the dirty water cant pour out so it will forever smell. I decided it might work well on some sanded patches of drywall...nope. I didnt suck up more a few tbsp's of polyfill into fresh water and the machine forever lost its suction power. Tried all the trouble shooting tips...the machine is garbage, I threw it out.

I bought this because I believe the water filter is healthier than any other filters. Vacuuming can do more harm on you lung than you think. It's meaning less if getting visible dust out of sight also brings blowing invisible dust grain up in the air and having them stuck in my lung. H2O vac capture invisible ones. I have a 40lb dog and he sheds a lot daily. H2O vac works good for me probably because my permanent carpet is hard and his hair floats on it. I agree with others on the suction being not so strong. If you have a thick and soft carpet that absorbs dusts, then you might find it not powerful enough. Overall I'm happy with its performance. I just hope vac would be smaller and the cleaning after vaccuming be easier.

I found this vacuum to be nothing out of the ordinary. I personnally could not hook up the extension. I called and they told me you had to use force. I used as much force as i thought was safe and couldn't get it on. I returned it.

11/1/2006 - John of British Columbia, Canada writes:
About the best features I found on the H2O Vac are its quiet motor and water filtration set-up. Unfortunately, the tools are to small to be effective in an average sized home. The hoses are flimsy and the overall vacuum system is toy-like in its construction. Carpets and pet hair? FORGET IT! I don't recommend this vacuum to anyone but someone living in a small trailer or bachelor suite with hard, smooth floors.

10/29/2006 - Walter of Ontario, Canada writes:
I found the suction to be average. The wand was short and so was the electrical cord. In the amount of time it takes to properly drain the water and clean the machine I could go out and buy a new vacuum cleaner. And if you don't clean it PERFECTLY you can be certain your house will smell like a sewer the next time you turn the machine on. It's a great breeding ground for flies too.

I jsut tried the H2O vacuum. My loose floor mats barely moved, and my 98$ vacuum sucks them right up. Terrible suction, cumbersome machine, and where, exactly are you supposed to put the filthy water? I didn't even pick up a penny with an attachment connected. Don't buy this product.

I used to sell rainbow vacs. I stopped selling them because it is a rip off to the customer. I did not even sell one vac wile selling them. I just wanted to get my rainbow free. I could not lie to the customers any more, and I gave my rainbow back. I recently bought the h20 vac, and I thought it was of equal value of the rainbow vac. It is priced for what you get. They are not trying to make there fortune off one, but many people unlike rainbow. It is worth the money.

9/22/2006 - Anonymous of Wisconsin, USA writes:
product returned. not worth your money at all. there was very little suction. dirt and debris remained in the back of the pan after dumping out. very hard to clean out and time consuming. nothing what i expected. poor overall quality and vac was very cheap, all plastic. please do not waste your time and money, you may not get it back.

RETURNED this vacuum. Cort is short. Vacuum is very loud and it has motor on the bottom, so it blows your dirt, dust a way. Very cheap build. The wand is low, and I'm 5'7" and 25 y. old after vacuum my 1st floor, my back was killing me. When you try to pour water out of canister all misc. dirt-will get stuck to the band of the canister band when you put your vacuum a way, it going to start STiCK, because of all the dirt. The hose keep falling off and it made out of plastik, no metal at all. Like childers vacuum hose quality. Don't waist your money. If you don't want to spend your money on the vacuum like rainbow, there is lots of different out there and they will do good job, or by Rainbow [].for double less.
