Not even worth $60

12/16/2007 - Kevin of Ontario, Canada writes:

I bought this brand new for only $60 and I still feel like I got ripped off. I live in a condo with all hardwood and it still does a poor job. I can't even imagine how bad it would perform on carpet. Don't believe the hype on the commercial.

Very Dissappointed

12/2/2007 - Patricia of Ontario, Canada writes:

The few times I used the H2O Vac, I thought it was ok..but after time it lost suction power..the 2 vacuum hoses it comes with broke...I tried fixing them with crazy glue but it did not work, it made the suction worse...so I just chucked it in the garbage. Money well wasted.

Awful

11/15/2007 - jen of California, USA writes:

Did not have good suction power. Very heavy when full of water and dirt. Hard to put together with filter and such. Hard to manuever. Difficult to clean. It is way to loud, it sounds like a jet engine.

Pretty good

10/25/2007 - Stepan of British Columbia, Canada writes:

Suction is very good because there is no bag to clog as it gets dirty over time. I like that I can use it for vacuuming metal filings and drywall dust. It's built like a toy but then again it's inexpensive. If you are gentle then you will not break the cheap plastic parts. I put a bit of vinegar or bleach into the water to keep the fungus down. Does not come with a power head.

Worst Vacuum I've Used

10/18/2007 - Anonymous of Alberta, Canada writes:

This product is made with very cheap plastic. The suction is poor. The water is difficult to empty, and the debris gets left behind. The informercial was very misleading, and I'm embarrased to have bought it. I'm sending it back!!

Cheap!! Cheap!! Cheap!!

10/8/2007 - Shannon of California, USA writes:

This is the cheapest piece of junk and does not work. Absolutely not for carpets, no moving parts in the head of the vacuum, and the suction, sucks!! I'm trying to get my money back, but don't have much hope according to everyone else that has tried.

Dont waste your money

10/7/2007 - Melissa of Texas, USA writes:

Like most everyone else DONT WASTE you money on this cheap vaccum. Its cheaply made, doesnt work at all cleaning carpet and on my wood floors it leaves most of the dirt behind. Save your money and buy a good vac. My mistake I wish I had read the reviews.

AMAZING

9/6/2007 - Mary of Quebec, Canada writes:

Seeing the infomercial, I was extremely skeptical, for the reason that I could not believe it can actually do the job as advertised for the reason that a lot of advertisements are bogus. However, this item is worth buying. I was curious so I took a chance and bought. I cleaned my home vacuumed and mopped very meticulously, and then I used the H2O VAC. I found that my floors were not as clean as I had anticipated. Overall, I personally find that it is completely an Amazing item to have in the house, other than a little bulky (meaning little wide). Regret, too bad I didn’t invent it.

Not recommended

8/29/2007 - Rob of British Columbia, Canada writes:

I would highly suggest that you do NOT buy this vacuum. The negatives of this product are many and any positives are completely outweighed. The hose is quite literally one of those plastic coil tubes that you would swing around as a kid to make a humming noise. It is ridiculously easy to pull out of its connection to the vacuum body and provide no means of pulling the vacuum body along behind you. If you want to move the vacuum body, you will have to grab the body itself and move it. The various heads and attachments are small and extremely cheap plastic. They are much more like a toy than anything else - very much like the hose. They will also fall off the end of the hose extremely easily. With these two factors alone, I hope it is obvious that cleaning your home will take MUCH longer than with virtually any other vacuum because you will constantly have to reattach the hose and various heads as they keep falling off and you will have to move the vacuum body itself constantly since pulling it by the hose is not an option. The suction power is no greater than any regular, cheap vacuum and less powerful than a high quality vacuum. It is useless on carpet except for debris that is on the surface. Anything ground in or caught in the threads of the carpet really needs a power brush head in order to be removed. On the plus side, using water as a filter does seem to be effective and cleaning out the machine isn't so terrible. Take out the rubber stopper and pour into the toilet, then rinse a few times in the bathtub and dump using the larger opening where the black water filter goes. But I could see how an elderly person or someone with limited mobility could have a lot of trouble in emptying the water basin in this manner. To sum up, the H2O Vac is a decent enough idea, but is terribly executed. If it had a more powerful motor, high quality hose and attachments, a power brush option and the ability to pull the vacuum body using the hose, I'd say the water filtration would make this a good product. But as it is, it is a very poor product because the manufacturers went cheap, cheap, cheap. At its retail price, it is a terrible rip off. At a massively discounted price, it still cannot be recommended because the extremely cheap hose and attachments render it useless.

Sooooo Disappointed and now Poorer$$$

8/29/2007 - Teresa of Oregon, USA writes:

The H2O Vacuum by [] was my second purchase from []. I was initially so exited about finding a vac that would do the job and control dust at the same time. It doesn't pick up well and it blows the dust around from the side of the machine before you can vacuum it up. It is also very hard to clean out the interior water pockets. It cannot be used on carpets if you don't buy their additional parts. What a disappointment! And they were kind enough to give me two (2) of them for the price of one (1)+ the extra postage (I say the "kind" part with tonque in cheek). I am disappointed to the extent that I, like others I have read on this site for this product, will not take the chance of buying again on TV. I did go past my 30 days trial so, when I requested a refund, I was refused. I ended up paying $279.85 for the vac. There is a 1yr warranty so next time I'll check to see if it broke. I know they will do a refund then. Why didn't I look for BLOGS on this item before I purchased it??? I guess I am still too GULLIBLE but, never again. Thanks [].

Will never buy off an infomercial again!!!!

8/15/2007 - Jignesh of Maryland, USA writes:

My mum saw this on tv and recorded it on dvr for me to see. I had never bought anything off of an informecial before and the product seemed to be good. We needed a new vac so i thought I would get it, and being two for one price we thought it was a great deal. I regret it from the second time of use, the vac is so useless it is unbeleivable, I would not recommend anybody buy this machine it really is poorly made. The water filter is a good idea but the people that desingned this vac did not think of how to get the water out after you finish vacuuming. it takes a lot of effort and then they is all sorts of dirt trapped in all the little corners they have in the tank. This product would not make it past the 1st round on American inventor, it is that poor. We ended up giving ours away to who ever would take them. Will never buy from an infomercial again in my life. Products like this should be pulled from the market.

More Good than Bad

8/3/2007 - Christina of California, USA writes:

My Husband purchased this product for me because I clean houses for a living and my favorite vac had seen better days! Pros: Water filtration shows you just how much YUK you are picking up, Suction is great when using attachments, light-weight even when full, works very well for cleaning my car, the best feature is you can pick up wet and dry without changing filters! Cons: clean-up after cleaning-up, hose detaches (breaks) easily, storage is poor, the worst "feature" is the lack of performance on carpets! A rotating brush would be great!

Dont even thought about buying this piece of crap

7/12/2007 - Angie of Michigan, USA writes:

First of all let me tell you dont buy anything from []. i bought 2 stuff from their site and they dont worth a peny i spend. By the time i done vacuming my home, im so tired cause of all the hard work changing water, geting rid of the stuff coming from the vacume. it says that vacume is light weight but it is not. DONT BUY THIS VACCUME. IF you have the money you spend on this vacuume, you can buy 3 or 4 vaccume which is useful and last long.

Don't buy it

5/22/2007 - Sergio of Texas, USA writes:

CONS: - The suction is OK, but not much better than the $65 vac I'm trying to replace. It did not take the hair of my pet. This is the main reason I sent it back. - It's definitelly not good enough to justify the trouble of filling up the pit with water and then cleaning it. It took over 24 hours to dry completely (even in a warm Texas day). - Unlike other vaccums, it is tough to store. Too much assemble and disassemble every time you use it. If you have a small house, like I do, you'll probably spend more time putting it together and cleaning it than you will vaccum the house. - It requires too much effort to use. Most vaccums, after the initial assembly, all you gotta do is to empty the dirt container and store it. With the H2O, you have to disassemble it, clean it thoroughly and wait for it to completely dry (24 hours) before you can store it. I found I spent too much time with the machine itself, and my goal was just to have the floors cleaned. - For the money you'll spend shipping it back and with the non refundable mailing cost, you probably can buy a better vaccum at [] PROS: - It's fairly light and doesn't make much noise, wich is good. - The return police works easily and pays you back quickly. My advice would be that you bought something at [] or [] and saved yourself from the trouble of buying something that will require a monk's patiency to like.

Great idea.....terrible product!

5/22/2007 - Suzette of England, UK writes:

I bought H20 vac as I suffer from a severe dust allergy which vacuuming does not help...to say the least. I was very excited about this product and ordered one. It had so many design faults I'm surprised it was passed for sale. It weighed a ton, even worse when full of water. It was awkward to carry. The clip that kept the water unit in place slipped easily causing dirty water to spill out. Suction power..forget it! Low =it doesn't suck at all. High = low. Storage...Impossible unless you have plenty of closet space. Really bulky, inadequate cord storage..just wraps around two flimsy pins! Filters get clogged up after 1 or 2 sessions..£10 to replace Impossible to clean as too many nooks and crannys to get round, some you can't reach at all, cleaning brush supplied is useless. Looks dirty and unhygienic and starts to stink unless you spend about half an hour cleaning it..even then you can't get it spotless To sum up this product is Heavy Noisy cumbersome impossible to clean doesn't suck properly is easily spilled difficult to store expensive PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Would like to give it zero stars instead I have to give it 1 star.."product sucks"..actually that's about the only thing it doesn't do!

Could've been better

5/20/2007 - Vic of Michigan, USA writes:

It's EXTREMELY loud, it has VERY poor suction, you have to fill up to the max to get any suction at all, it doesn't suck up the liquids as easily as they show in the infomercial, but if you get the hang of it, you can do a pretty good job. oh and if you let the water in it sit for any amount of days, it'll stink... however, it does vacuum without any dust being blown back into the air, it does pick up liquids, it has very nice attachments for vacuuming in the car, and it's not that heavy. now for those who can't empty the container, there's a little black plug at the very tip. try pulling it out. and oh ya, WHO READS THOSE INSTRUCTIONS? the thing is a joke to set up! those 2 papers were the first thing i threw out when i got it. Overall... I must say it's nice but should be used in compliment with a much more powerful vacuum for tough jobs. And it's definitely overpriced. one unit should go for $60 with s&h.

It's not so bad.

4/23/2007 - Jennifer of British Columbia, Canada writes:

I actually don't mind the H2O vac. First time I used it I thought it was ridiculous because the handle was so short. Then my husband showed me it extends. If you dont' have a power head it is best used if you vacuum by pulling back instead of regular back and forth motion. Cleaning it out is a pain, but manageable. I just empty mine into a toilet and flush. Fill it once more with water from the tub and swish it around and it is pretty clean. I have noticed a great reduction in our allergies since buying this vacuum. It is amazing what it picks up. The water always seems to look like mud after. lol. I love that it is a great wet vac as well. We had a pipe burst in our apartment and that vac sucked up a ton of water. That alone makes it worth having.

waste of money

4/9/2007 - Crystal of Florida, USA writes:

My mom saw the infomercial and was excited because her vacuum that she had for over 20 years had quit and she was tired of wasting money on vacuums. She did the 2 for 1 deal so that i could have one for my apt. She used it a couple times and went back to the standup vac. I too hate mine. For one, the plastic hose will not stay attached to each other! I have lost count of how many times my foot has been bruised from it falling off and hitting me mid vacuuming. Secondly it is almost impossible to clean the unit itself! The divider looking things in the water canister prevent the dirt/muck,etc. from dumping out. My canister started growing mold! Needless to say my mom said all she wanted for Christmas was a new rainbow and she got one.

Is a very bad product

4/9/2007 - Alex of North Carolina, USA writes:

The idea of using water as filter is brilliant but that's about it. the machine itself is really terrible, it doesn't suck as good as they advertise on TV, the extentions breaks with little pressure, is very very hard to clean, so hard that I spend more time triying to clean the vaccum rather then my house. Don't waste your time or money on this product.
