did an okay job

3/31/2008 - Karen of BC, Canada writes:

We bought the mop over a year ago as we just had a baby. I don't think it's worth the price you pay..maybe 50 bucks or something. It does an okay job...better than your own mop per se...but if I wiped the floor with a lysol wipe you could see it wasn't as clean as the infomercial says. doesn't work on carpet. does leave the floor wet for a bit...just as if you had used a swiffer mop or something. We used it quite often..every 2 days...as we have dogs and want our home clean for our baby. Today, I went to turn it on..and it no longer steams. Just leaves cold water in puddles everywhere. I did use it a lot...but am disappointed that I paid over 100 bucks for it and it died in a year. I'm sure the warrantee has expired as well. Will look to find a similar product in the stores..but won't buy it online again.

Awesome!

3/29/2008 - Kendall of California, USA writes:

I ordered the product in within 7 days it was on my doorstep, which was quite surprising to me. I've used it only three times and I loved it from the very first. I have laminate flooring that was impossible to clean without getting streaks. This product left my floors spotless and streak-free! It's simple to operate, does the job in half the time. Who wouldn't love that!?! As far as leaving water on the floor, it WILL do that if you're not using it properly. Following the directions I find that it leaves very little water on the floor, no puddles. It doesn't dry as quickly as it shows on TV, but it's just minutes. I would recommend it to anyone. However, I must say that I have no earthly idea what good it could possibly do on carpets.....I tried one little area with NO results whatsoever. Fortunately I didn't purchase it for that purpose. If someone has in mind to purchase it for carpet cleaning, forget it! It does NOT work on carpet! I would buy this product again, with no reservations. Hopefully I won't have to, I am counting on this one lasting.

Please read before buying!

3/25/2008 - Tina of az, usa writes:

I was excited to get the product, including the additional steamer. I tried it on three separate occasions, each time doing it a little differently to try to get it to work properly. I even double-checked their troubleshooting guide. It was a waste of $140. The water mostly puddled underneath the mop head, there was as much liquid water as there was steam. I am very disappointed with this product, and I am attempting to get a FULL refund. Do not waste your money on this product!!

not worth buying

3/23/2008 - Dannica of Ontario, Canada writes:

I forgot to check the reviews on this product so bought the h20 mop feb 29/2008. I was told it was ok on laminates but leaves water on the floor so I have to dry it with a clean rag. It doesn’t get rid of the stain on carpets- what a waste of time. Not worth $149 cdn and won’t recommend to buy.

My best mop ever

3/23/2008 - Donna of WI, USA writes:

I saw this on tv and begged my husband to get it. I do not like to mop at all. The mop bucket never gets emptied. Everything of importance always tends to gravitate towards the bucket of nasty water. This sounded like an easy solution. The Good... First off all let me say that it is so much fun. My son and his friends ask me if they can mop, and steam the carpet. It is ready to go in less than a minute, quicken than you can wring out the old mop. It does a great job on regular floor surfaces like tile, linoleum, wood, and etc. I had to let my mother-in -law use it for three days, so she could try it out too (she has different floor types than me). She could not believe how fresh her bathroom smelled after using the H20 Mop. I told her that there was nothing but water in there, but she said that it smelled clean. The carpet is significantly softer after being steamed. Fresh stains come out amazing. We even had some rust stains on the carpet from when the "professionals" steam cleaned and set the couch down, and the H20 Mop is slowly taking that away. All floor surfaces dry relatively fast. Now the bad... It takes a little bit to get used to. You do not have to push down hard like a regular mop. With stains in the carpets, it gets a litlle trickier. If the stain is old, it is not as easy to come out as they make it seem on tv. Like the rust I mentioned earlier. I am really hoping that the stains due come out of carpets like they state on commercials

Wonderful Product

3/21/2008 - Sandra of Toronto, Canada writes:

I am VERY happy with this product. I use distilled water exclusively just as I do in my steam iron to prevent calcium build-up. We have cream carpeting in a rental unit. I didn't think anything was going to lift the old stains, but it does. It doesn't soak the carpet either. I would love to use this on a regular basis on new carpet. If you leave it too long in any area, on any kind of surface, it will puddle. The trick is to keep the mop moving. It still dries very quickly. I love not using chemicals. I do wish the cord was longer. That is my only negative. This is a huge improvemnet over any other type of mop you can use.

Wasted Time and Money

3/18/2008 - Eva of New Hampshire, USA writes:

Got this H20 mop for Christmas and we also bought one for my sons girlfriend. I have attempted doing a good cleaning of my no wax floors in the kitchen and hall and bath 3 times. The first time was right after Christmas when I received the machine. I was in a hurry so I figured I just was not patient enough, and went to fast. Then last month I tried again much, slower and realized it just doesn’t work at all. What a waste of my time and money. The dirt in the small divots never came out. No matter how many times I went over the spot. Then I took a brush and up the dirt came. I tried for more than an hour, little steam , lots of steam (had to use old sponge mop to get up all the water.) Then last week I used it with more time and I got real aggravated at how much it really wasn’t doing what I saw on the infomercial. No matter how many times I went over the same spot it really wasn’t getting the grooves. Small grooves. Today I went over my wood floor and my no wax floor and a little on my rug in my bedroom after pre-treating the rug. Just does not work at all. I took out my old sponge rug and sopped up all the water it left behind. I even put some floor cleaner on the no-wax floor ahead of the h20mop and still my old sponge mop did the trick and not the new $100 mop. Last week I asked my sons girlfriend what she thought of her machine. She said she used it on her rug in the dining room and it did nothing to her spots. She even pre-treated and still, a brush and sponge did it only. I am so disappointed and embarrassed with a gift I gave, at how poor the performance is . I had kept the box in the basement and I knew not all infomercials are realistic ,so I was a little pessimist. You know I saw the 30 day return money back guarantee. That should have been my hint. Most good products that are only used 20 times or so per year have a 1 year guarantee.

It's Ok

3/17/2008 - John of Ontario, Canada writes:

For all those people complaining about there being no off switch ignore them they clearly didnt read the manual or just dont know how to use the product. The OFF switch is exactly the same as the ON SWITCH! and yes it does leave water but so does a regular MOP... it is an H2O MOP (H2O = Water, for those who don't know) Tiles, hardwood and any flat surfaces in general this will work great, it does leave some water which usually dries in a couple of minutes, thats because the microfiber pad gets soaked through after awhile. Carpets is a different story, sure it will freshen and deodorize to a degree... but it won't remove stains on its own. in the commercial it shows a blue stain on the carpet, the h2o mop goes over the stain theres a flash of white and the stain is gone. I don't have a magic carpet and I'm sure neither do you, don't believe everything you see on TV. But it tends to be a fairly OK product.

NOT for pets!!!!!!!!!!!

3/15/2008 - Dee of SC, USA writes:

The product is good if you follow the instructions and your floors are not deeply textured. Works best on smooth surfaces. Light, shape of head is handy but the pads do fit a little loose. Much better then a mop and bucket but not for every floor. Do NOT use on pets or children as one review suggests. Steam is hot, it burns, that's why it sanitizes. Anyone suggesting that they use this mop on a pet must be joking (not funny!)- please use on floors as it is intended and follow the instructions.

So Far So Good

3/7/2008 - Barb of Pennsylvania, USA writes:

I used my H2O mop for the first time tonight on my tiled kitchen floor. There was a dried spot of paint on the floor that I had missed when I scrubbed the paint off the floor. I was amazed that this mop instantly removed that dried paint spot. It also manuevers well. I was able to move it around my washer and dryer and around the refrigerator and table. The floor did not dry instantly as the infomercial said, but it did dry quickly, more quickly than a regular mop. So far I love it.

Love it, will never go back to a regular mop.

3/6/2008 - Angelika of Ontario, Canada writes:

I got lucky and purchased the product at the local flea market for $80. I have hardwood throughout the house, ceramic tiles and some vinyl ones too. Couldn't be happer wth the results. The house has a fresher feel to it. It's true, the floors dry quickly (not as quick as the infomercial) but quicker than if I was to use a regular mop. I don't have any carpet, so I don't use the glider. But it's really worth to buy it just for ceramics and sealed hardwood. I use a extension cord so am not bothered with the length. The mop doesn't seam to want to stand on its own, but nonetheles I love it and would recomend it.

Great on Pets

3/4/2008 - Josh of Utah, USA writes:

I originally bought this product to do my tile floors and while it does work great on the floors it has proven even more handy on my chocolate lab. I used to have to take my lab to the groomer once a month (not cheap), but now in only a few minutes she gets super clean. She loves the steam and doesn't freak out like when i tried to give her a bath with the garden hose. Our cat doesn't like it as much, but with a little persuading she will still take the steam bath. I think the freight was a little expensive, but other than that i would buy again.

I love it!

2/27/2008 - Dagmar of Connecticut, USA writes:

I purchased the product in November last year. It was easy to set up and get going. It cleaned my vinyl floor in the kitchen and the tile floors in the bathrooms incredibly well! I as well used it to steam my carpet. At first I was not sure how it is going to pick up dirt since there is a glider in between, but as I looked at the pad after I was finished, I was shocked how dirty it was! I have a little puppy and as everyone knows, puppies have accidents. The mop works really well on stains of every kind and with the help of steam it deodorizes at the same time so I don't have to buy expensive enzyme sprays in order to get rid of the pee smell. I regularly freshen up my carpets and I noticed that the whole room smells much cleaner. Overall I'm very happy with it! Some of the reviews mentioned the too short cable. I don't really realize it because I have a lot of sockets, but this is something I would probably complain about if I only had one socket per room. Definately recommend it to everyone who is sick of buckets and loves it clean!

Not great

2/26/2008 - Tamatha of Quebec, Canada writes:

I received the mop and it actually worked great for about 2 months and then it did not produce anymore steam, therefore leaving the floor dirty. I checked everything, the only problem is that when I put the pad on the steam doesn't come through. It's too bad it didn't last longer 'cause I really liked it! Quality vs price does not add up!

Not Happy

2/24/2008 - Theresa of Illinois, USA writes:

I am not happy at all with this product, it leaves water on the floor. I asked before I purchased if it left water on the floor because I had laminate flooring, I was told no it would not leave any water on the floor. Well I was lied to, and the shipping costs more than it is worth to ship back. I will yard sale this one.

The Only One Steaming was Me!

2/24/2008 - Lily of Florida, USA writes:

The poduct arrived after a 1 1/2 months of waiting, although I paid for expedite mail delivery, it arrived by USPS. The poduct does not have the power it claims, nor cleans like the commercialclaims. It was a waste of my time and money.

When will I learn...

2/21/2008 - Cyndi of Ohio, USA writes:

When am I going to learn not to get pulled in by these infomercials. Grant it the H2O mop looks very cool and it does steam your floors but when you watch the infomercial they claim that your floors dry so fast. Not! There is way too much water left on the floor (better to use my Swiffer Wet Jet) and I had to go over it with a dry mop to get the excess water picked up. I really got it for my carpets to just freshen..well that was OK to freshen but not clean. Again I would use Fabreeze to freshen up carpets. It didn't even get the indentations out of the carpet from moving a heavy table like they showed on the infomercial and I even went over the carpet about 20-30 times like it said to do to remove. It did help a little but not completely. Save your money and don't get. You get the same results using the Swiffer Wet Jet.
