Total waste of money!

6/28/2008 - CJ of TN, USA writes:

I purchased the mop in February 2008. It takes just as long to mop my kitchen as it did when using a regular mop & bucket. The power cord is not long enough to do my kitchen without having to unplug and my kitchen is relatively small. It takes several passes for sticky spills and it doesn't get the edges or corners.

sooo not worth it

6/23/2008 - katiebee of ontario, canada writes:

got this product not long after we moved into our apartment.. didnt work as we were told it would but i didnt mind it, liked the fact that there was no chemicals involved since i have a baby girl. mop broke today.. i was halfway through my kitchen and it started squealing really loudly so i ran over and unplugged it... a moment later i realized it smelt like burning.. knowing how unlikely it was i would be getting my money back for this thing i opened it up to see where the problem may be coming from.. low and behold..the entire inside was full of condensation.. the steam wasnt only going out of the mop onto the floor.. it was going back inside and burned out the entire electrical system.. i think im most irritated at the fact that we spent as much money on it as we did and it didnt even last 6 months. im going to go back to my [] until i can get out to buy a BETTER mop that has nothing to do with H2O or [] thank you very much!

H2O Fan

6/20/2008 - Crystal of St. Louis, Missouri, United States writes:

I watched the infomercial twice before I decided to buy the H2O mop because I'm a skeptic. When it arrived I was excited, but I had realistic expectations (i.e. I would not be suprised if it did not work as well as shown on TV). The H2O mop actually exceeded my expectations. I cleaned my kitchen with it and my husband commented on how clean they looked afterwards - this never happens! The only thing is that it did not dry "instantly" like they said on the commercial. Still, it dried faster than regular mopping because the water goes on hot. I like that there are no chemical cleaning products involved. I absolutely love the hand-held steamer bonus item! I used it on the really bad grout areas in my kitchen (under the dog food bowls) and the grout looks like new! I'm just afraid I'm going to go OCD on my kitchen floors with that thing!

The H20 Mop is Fantastic!

6/18/2008 - Mary of Ontario, Canada writes:

I have the H20 Mop. I love the fact that I just have to press the steam trigger once briefly and then the steam keeps coming until I press the trigger again to stop the steam. It has taken out stains on the carpet beautifully. The ceramic floors come out spotless. This product is a great time saver and one of the best products we have ever bought!

Not-So-Cheap Imitator

6/12/2008 - Shawn of CO, USA writes:

I bought this after my Eureka Enviro Steamer quit working after 6 years. First of all, to share some general tips with everyone regarding floor steamers, there are several guidelines you have to follow. It's a good idea to let the unit get hot before you put the pad on the bottom. This goes against the directions, but it helps prevent the pad from getting too wet. But please be careful, because the steam is hot. If your steamer leaves puddles of water, it's broken. It shouldn't do that. You also need to change the pad if it gets too dirty, and also when it gets too wet. Otherwise, you'll leave dirty streaks, and too much extra water on the floor which takes a while to dry. So, buy as many extra pads as you can afford. If you're handy, you can even make extras yourself. For an average room, you'll use at least 2 pads. I LOVE floor steamers, but I HATE this one! I'm gonna buy another Eureka Enviro Steamer. When you see the Eureka, it's obvious that the quality can't compare to this thing. And it only costs slightly more, about $90. I used my Eureka weekly for over 6 years, with no problems, and no "parts" like this one.

VERY CONFUSED

6/9/2008 - Sam of Florida, USA writes:

After l read the reviews l still am amazed that either people hate the item or love it. How can they all be talking about the same item. Either it works or it does not. I am so confused when l read these comments. Are you sure these people are talking about the same item.? How can something be so great to some people and other people hate it because they got completely different results. Someone is not doing something right because if the item is so bad veryone would get the same results. There are more people who favor this item then not. Which leads me to think that the people who dislike it are not using the product the correct way. If you were and still got the same results then why do the rest of the people not getting the results as you are.?

Great Product

6/8/2008 - Joyce Harvey of AZ, USA writes:

I have rheumatoid arthritis and cannot get down on the floor to scrub. This is a wonderful mop for me. It's light weight enough for me to be able to handle, and does well what it was advertised to do. Perhaps it's overpriced, but I'm willing to pay a bit more if it does the job. Only problem is that I don't have the strength in my hands to remove the water resevoir, but my husband can easily do that.

Most of TV products

6/7/2008 - P of Minnesota, USA writes:

Many products are always will commerical on the tv. It is no matter what if it is not true or true. Many products have been gone to the stores and still selling them anyway. It doesn't matter if it doesnt work or work. If it doesnt work, just send it back. If you are not happy with shipping, etc... I suggest to wait until the store received the products and buy them. If not happy, there is always warranty on it.

RIP OFF BIG TIME

6/7/2008 - Betty of WI, USA writes:

It absolutely does not do what the infomrrcial states. It is a horrible piece of garbage. It is too heavy to push around. My grout in the ceramic tile is worse after I used the monstrocity. It leaks, the container that holds the cleaning solution is all empty on my floor in a big puddle within 2 minutes of using it. I thought there is 100% satisfaction or your money back. Ya, right!!! I want my money back. Please advise on how to get my money back.

I love it!

6/3/2008 - Katherine of Ontario, Canada writes:

This product is great. My mom and I considered buying it from the tv, but thought it might be a scam. Finally I saw it at [] and purchased it. I live in a one bedroom apartment in an old building with a toddler. We always have food residue under her highchair and table as well as spilled drinks and play doh, etc. We also tend to drag in lots of dirt from outside. It literally takes days for me to move our furniture, sweep and wash the floors on my hands and knees because a mop is useless. The day I bought the steam mop, I mopped the entire apartment in less than and hour that is with sweeping and moving furniture. It did not remove the dirt in my bathroom grout quite like I expected but with mulitple uses and a clean mop head, it has made a huge improvement without using bleach and a toothbrush. I can quickly set it up and do the floors before bed and clean spills instantly. Also is great at preventing dust accumulation! If you follow the directions and troubleshooting tips, this mop works exactly as it says.

It's one of two things:

5/30/2008 - David of CT, United States writes:

It's either the COOLEST way to mop the floor... or the freakiest way to mop the floor! My mother bought one a few months ago and asked me to put it together for her... and with one thing and the other, today was the day I finally had time to sit down and examine it properly. I was a little confused at first when I noticed some parts that I wasn't sure where they were meant to go... until in reading the instructions, I realized they were spare parts. Which could be useful, in case something DID go awry. Overall however, the assembly process was reasonably simple. Two screws in two slots, that's IT. Gave it a couple test runs on two rooms... and I honestly don't know what the complaints are about. People say it's hard to maneuver... but the instructions CLEARLY STATE that you have to let the pad get damp with the steam first before applying to the floor. A dry pad WOULD be hard to work with, duh! In one room, I did a bit of a comparison job. Between the standard mop and bucket routine three days before... and the H2O mop today. That's where the one of two things comes in. The pads work excellently, they do exactly what they claim to do. I was both morbidly fascinated.. and yet utterly appalled at what the pad showed me was on the 'clean' floor that had been mopped with a traditional mop. Having said all that... *I* want one now!!!! It was a fun product to test!

Stupid

5/27/2008 - william of Salem, United States writes:

I can only hope that the stupid people (acting so inept using conventional methods of cleaning) are the only dummies buying this product. And I'll bet if you go into their garages, you'll find a lot of other stupid products that are sold on TV by poor actors, hyped up on energy drinks, lying every way possible to get a buck.

Liars

5/21/2008 - ph of florida, usa writes:

I believed the commercials. It leaves the tile dirty. Doesn't lift dirt from grout. Carpet cleaning is a huge disappointment. It takes so long to use this product to see just a slight improvement. I am so incredibly disappointed with these lying informercials!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only good thing is not having to haul a bucket of water. I have 80% tile in my house 15% carpet.

Better than a bucket and a stinky mop anyday.

5/21/2008 - Tasha of Ontario, Canada writes:

I received my steam mop as a Mother's Day Gift (at my own request! LOL) I've used it probably ten times now in various rooms on various types of flooring. For my hardwood floors and one room of parquet it has been most excellent at getting yucky stuff off the floors and picking up dirt. What I notice most is how nice the room smells afterwards... it's just a fresh, clean air smell. I used it on my tile flooring in my bathroom and laundry room and again, zero complaints. Looked good, smelled great. I'm also loving the fact that I can wash the pads and I don't have to pump any more money into this product than I already have. I haven't even used the disposable heads yet... I'm thinking I'd save them for a particularly gross job, if one ever came about. Yesterday I used the mop on laminate flooring. All bedrooms in my home are laminate. Because it does leave a water residue that dries relatively quickly I noticed that it streaked the laminate flooring, didn't look too great. In the future I'm going to use a dry microfibre mop that I have and run it over the cleaned floor immediately to dry it. I will only have to do this with the laminate rooms. I read alot of the reviews and one lady complained that her mop sparked when she plugged it in. It doesn't spark when I plug it in but if I don't remove it very carefully by the plug head I've noticed it sparks as well. In other words, don't yank the cord! LOL You can't leave it plugged in after use anyway... so it's moot for me at this point. So all in all, I give it a four out of five, simply because it streaked my laminate. But all in all, I'm pretty darn happy with it.

UPDATE: I've always been skeptical about buying stuff from paid TV advertisement. I decided to try my first purchase with the H2O. I recieved my H2O over the weekend and when I tried it... It worked fantastic !! The drying did take longer than what they said but nothing that a box fan can not do. I can honestly say that I was one of luckiest person that did not have problems. Knock on wood.
