Sounded like a good deal for the price. I spend more on the ground shipping than on the product. My cooker works great, but it is only a tiny relica of the one on TV. Fortunately, they sent me 2 tiny weenie cookers. Now, I cook one whole tortilla if I cut it 4 ways !

The first time I used this the lid fell on my hand and burned it-ouch! It should have a little click lock type of hinge. Anyway, after that I was very tentative but used it. Nothing cooked like they say it would but I found if you put less stuffing or smaller amounts than it was ok. Better to buy a sandwich maker and get better results. I never understand why they don't make these things without removable grids to clean them!

I've only been using my GT Xpress a few weeks, but it's been so much fun! My favorite thing to do is make hot pocket sandwiches, and they come out absolutely delicious. A little cooking spray ensures that everything comes out of the wells smoothly. The spatula is incredibly annoying, though, but cleanup is as easy as they advertise - just a quick wipe and it's done.

We have gotten some TV results, but the cooking chambers are way smaller than they look on TV and makes it almost impossible to do most of the TV demos. It is used mostly for making eggs like the ones on egg mcmuffins and it does a good job.

Love & adore this cooker. Fast cooking with delicious results every time. I make lunch in it every day because we are pressed for time.

THE GOOD: What I like about mine, is that my teenagers can make a tasty sandwich or wrap after school. Just a slice of bread, or tortilla and some fillings like tuna or chicken and cheese and it's great. Comes out like on TV. No problem with the non-stick coating. THE BAD: Not everything comes out great. Bigger pieces of meat, like chicken are seldom cooked all the way through...but the outsides are really over done. Omlets the same...eggs raw in the center. The UGLY! Hard to clean. The infomercial says to just wipe it down...how CLEAN is that?!!?? I still try to soap and water clean it, but it's hard not to get water on just the cooking surface. CONCLUSION: If you want to just use it for tasty sandwiches and burritos, great. Don't expect to make a full family meal out of it. I wish the cooking surfaces were removable for cleaning.

I purchased this product in May, the first time I used it the non stick coating came off. Even the logo on the top smudged off. Cheap! I found it difficult to clean and yes the meat just boils in its own juices. I called the company and they offered to send me another one. That was 4 months ago. I have called 4 times and each time I get a different story like the person who entered the request did it incorrectly, or your item is backordered, or we shipped it out 4 weeks ago. I still havent received my replacment so I asked for a refund and was refused. I wouldnt put my trust in this product and the health hazzard because of the non stick coating comming off is questionable. I dont expect my replacement, if I ever receive it, to perfom any better. I wish they would just give me my money back.

This product is woefully misrepresented and somewhat deceptive when seen on television informercials. For starters, I found this product to be far too small to really cook anything large enough to eat. The cooking chambers are very, very small. So in order to cook a sandwich or piece of meat, it must also be very small. I think the concept of this kind of cooker to be a promising one, but in actual use, it fails in it's attempt to satisfy what I really wanted it to be- an small appliance that enables me to cook large enough meals quickly and conveniently. Sadly, it fails on both counts.

My biggest complaint with this product is that it doesn't get hot enough to sear anything. As a result, any meat I tried (including those funky wraps they demo'd in the infomercial) boiled in its own juices instead of frying. The end product was tough and inedible. Cleanup was a pain (far from the "just wipe it!" promise). I couldn't get any of the results they showed on TV. Save your money and learn to cook!

I got my GT Express about 2 months ago. The non-stick surface was great at first, but now it's not so great. I usually have to spray it first with non-stick spray now. Other than that, I enjoy using it and love the food I've made. My husband will eat 4 or 5 pita sandwiches at one time made in the GT express.

This mediocre appliance is the best of 70's technology spun into a infomercial to sell to suckers. The half moon cups are less than 5" in length, I want someone to show me who can find a 4" torilla for making a low carb wrap. It is hard to clean, the nonstick plates should remove like on a waffle iron but don't. The spatula they give you is cheap, and unusable, and the recipe book is a joke. What whiz kid needs to be told how to make rice. Need I say more? You would be better off buying any kind of sandwich maker, or a waffle iron with reversing plates, than this piece of wretch. I feel silly for believing, at least it wasn't alot of money is all I can say.

I bought a gt express soon after it came out .I was not impressed.I have used mine a total of 10 times. It is hard to clean up and use.The food is raw in the middle and chewy on the outside. The "recipes"book is not nearly as great as it sounds either.I have since put this machine in yard sales, several that is for 10 bucks and no one even looked i would have took 5.

its horrible to clean up, and the woman from the infomercial obviuosly doesnt have 4 kids, otherwise i'd have to ask her some questions. it can be useful, but who wants everything they eat to be half moon shaped?!

I had a terrible time with the first two I had because the non-stick coating peeled off in places, but thanks to Kathy Mitchell, (I was on the Express 101 mail list with her)I finally got one that didn't peel. I've used this last one for over a year and would hate to do without it. I use it mostly for omelets and cakes. I read in another review that these aren't being made anymore. I'm glad I have another one tucked away in case this one wears out.

I love this machine but it DOES NOT clean up easily as advertised.HOWEVER DO NOT order this directly from the GT Express website!!!!!! I ordered 2 for Christmas gifts in early November and Called them Early December to see where they were. I was told they were originaly backordered (I never got an email about it) and then the company desided not to make the item any more!(Never got an email about that either!) Later after some research found out they had a lawsuit against them and they were forced to send out notices(which I received AFTER christmas!) By that time I had cancled my order and found a $9.99 Omlet maker at Walgreens which I found to be EXACTLY the same for cooking time, with BETTER clean up, and at one forth the price!!! It also has a nicer shape cooking well for making small cakes. I heard Walmart also has this one.

I liked this product at first but after a few uses, the surface didn't release the item I baked very well. I found it a but hard to clean and I have just packed mine away...

I fell in love with this the first time I used it, and I use it almost every day. I use it for omelets, corn bread, cakes, pancake batter and brownies. We love its ease of use and cleanup. Doesn't take up much counter room and for us well worth the money.
