Product Description
The GT Xpress 101 cooks delicious food fast. No need to worry about turning your food as the dual cooking chamber keeps your food in contact with the heat on both the top and the bottom. The GT Xpress is easy to clean due to it's non-stick surface. The built in cord and compact design makes it easy for storage. The machine is simple to use and it has a ready light to tell you when the unit is preheated and ready to go plus it is Thermostatically Controlled to ensure perfect results every time. The floating hinge keeps the lid in contact with the food but also allows for enough space when cooking those baked goods and omelets. The instruction and Recipe Guide contain 101 great tasting recipes, half of which cook in 7 minutes or less. GT Express reviews below.

AVERAGE PERFORMANCE

11/7/2008 - Nikki of pa, usa writes:

The product is nothing like what you see on TV. I'm pretty sure the wells on TV are deeper since I can't seem to fit much into mine without it overflowing and dripping everywhere. I bought the 101 deluxe model and that's a real joke. All four wells heat up at the same time even if you are cooking in only one or two so you are wasting your electricity!! A simple toggle switch should have been added so you only heat the wells you are using or at least two at a time NOT ALL FOUR!! The menu booklets have no index so you have to thumb through each one to find what you want when you want it. I’m also getting bored of everything I eat having exactly the same shape - talk about monotony killing your appetite. Clean up is certainly not a breeze as advertised and you never see Cathy Mitchell spray her wells in all her infomercial presentations but you better do so each time you use this product.

mine works

11/1/2008 - tony of okla, usa writes:

I went to a tag sale today and saw the gt 101 for $10 I had seen the info on tv and it looked fun but as a bargin shopper I look on [] as well as tag sales. Bingo today was my day I work alone in an office I eat breakfast and lunch there i have a full kitchen but the range is not hooked up so it has to be microwave, toaster oven, elect skillet or crockpot. The gt 101 made a great egg ohmlet and then i tried it on blue berry muffin mix worked great no sticking and this unit had been used in the past. So all i can say is good job gt 101 I can't wait to use it again what a bargin....

Love It!!!

Got this as a gift a few weeks ago. Use it for compliment to regular meals. Makes great muffins, corn bread, etc. Easy to clean if sprayed. Actually spend time planning meals using the cookbooks. Portion control is a great factor too! Wish they'd add calorie contents to recipes.

Absolutly LOVE it..!!!

10/16/2008 - Rich of Florida, USA writes:

I bought mine at one of the Mega Retailers for 24.99. No accessories other than the spatula but didnt need the rest. I use it almost daily for great breakfasts and sometimes twice daily for dinner as well. It does scrambled eggs and pancakes great. I've also cooked BBQ and Jamacian Jerk chicken in it as well. Rice and Frozen peas are also a great thing. A couple of tips though. Dont spare the non-stick spray. Apply a generous amount while cooking and keep it coated after cooking as well. I wipe mine down with a paper towel with some sprayed on it before putting it away. Another tip is to remove the sharp edges and corners of the spatula with some fine sandpaper so it wont scratch or dig up the surface. Mine was like a razor when new. To all those who've had problems I'd suggest you try again.

Complaint on this product

10/15/2008 - sue of ill, US writes:

What a monumental Disappointment!!! Watched the infomercial over & over with my 14 year old son before we broke down and bought it. He begged me to buy it, he even used his lawn mowing money & paid for it himself! We were really excited to use it and cook healthy meals in it. What a JOKE! Everything STICKS to it. Batter products fall apart & look like CRAP! It's a nightmare to clean up. Nothing like the commercial shows. Have made fish, eggs, roll ups, etc. only steaming some veggies worked well. Because that didn't stick or burn with water in the wells! Hate, hate, hate this product! The concept was a superb idea, just doesn't work like they advertise! Waste of money & ruined food maybe I was sent 2 lemons, but this was a BIG rip off in my book! My son won't even use it now, he hates it worse then me, and he likes to cook!

Not too happy

10/12/2008 - Cheryl of Alabama, USA writes:

I ordered the two-for-one deal and gave one to my good friend. I was embarrassed when he told me after using it only a few times the non-stick coating was coming off. I had to admit to him the same thing had happened with mine. We were both very careful how we cleaned them and only used the spatulas that came with them. I was very disappointed; the concept is great, but the product is cheaply made.

Not a Quality Product

10/10/2008 - Joan of Alabama, USA writes:

I purchased two Express 101's; one for me and one for a gift for my daughter. After using mine four times, I decided I could not subject my daughter to such a terrible product and both are going to be donated to charity. I've made four things exactly as told in the recipe books, everything burnt on the bottom and one item was left in half the time indicated. Clean up with the one recipe for ground turkey and Stove Top stuffing was a mess, stuck and hard to clean up. I did spray as indicated to no avail. This thing has no temperature control which causes all the problems. Foods are hard to get out and so dry and tastless, they are worthy of the garbage. this was no deal as shipping was so high, it's not worth sending them back. when called to order, no human person talks with you and they end up charging you for additional recipe books and tell you they will continue to come and be charged to your account on a regular basis. NOT! It took three calls to make sure the recipes books were cancelled for further delivery. I was taken, I will never order anything from an infomercial again, they know how to work the system and I was one of their fools to think this little cheap thing would do all that they said. I wouldn't suggest that anyone buy this item.

Pretty decent

10/6/2008 - peter of massachusetts, USA writes:

My brother ordered this product for our mom. When I first saw it on TV, I thought oh, no. When I saw it in our kitchen I thought another cheese straightener. My brother likes to order mostly useless products on line. (Think []). Well I ended up being the primary user of the Express101. I love it. I only wish itt had on/off controls for each side . (got the four pocket model) beyond that, it's handy and I like the recipies. One thing, pie batter one c. bisquick, 2/3 c milk, one egg. much better than in book.

plastic smells toxic when hot

10/2/2008 - sheila of ny, us writes:

Just received the two-for-one deal, and already I'm thinking about sending the whole box back, notwithstanding that I've lost the overpriced shipping and handling fees I paid and will have to pay more to send it back. Every product box was stamped made in China in large letters. The top of the GT Xpress 101 is made of hard cheap plastic, which smells strongly of cheap plastic right out of the box, and which smells terrible once the unit heats up (and the plastic top heats up with it). Twenty minutes after turning the unit off, the kitchen still smelled of overheating plastic. The heavy plastic smell, along with the no on-off switch, safety automatic turn off or temperature control makes the whole thing a health hazard in my opinion. Will never buy an item from an infomercial again without seeing it first in the store. Feel ripped off.

Concerns with Non stick Surface

9/15/2008 - Irv of PA, USA writes:

We purchase 2 GT Xpress 101 units. When you move your finger across the surface, it feels like little grit bumps. We have concerns in using it because it is made in China and are leery of the cooking surface. If China has problem with lead in toys, hard to tell what may be in their cookware.

Wonderful product!

9/2/2008 - Teri of CA, USA writes:

Our family received this product a few weeks ago and immediately put it to use. The omelette suggested in the cookbook was excellent; I have also made burritos and wraps (left-over steak, potatoes, spinach, 1 Tbsp. pesto sauce and mozzarella cheese). Clean-up was easy (is like a waffle maker-just spray first w/oil) wipe w/a paper towel. The product heats quickly, so have everything ready to put in (like the infomercial) The food items come out nice and toasty, and an appropriate size (like a deck of cards) for us weight-conscious folk. Negative: It seemed that the shipping cost was a bit high. The cookbook was a great help; I put one in a notebook, and plan to add my own recipes and ideas from the rest of the family as we go along. Thank you for a great product. This is the first time we have ordered from an infomercial--everything came as promised! We hope you have continued success! From, Teri California

Excellent

8/2/2008 - ed of Washinton, USA writes:

Constructed just like a []. I bought mine at a []. Have'nt had any contact with the company. This thing is great! I downloaded the recipes from the net but don't use them often. Like they said if the ingedients sound good to you it will taste good. My favorite, blackberries in the bottom, sugar and cornstarch sprinkled on it an pour bisquick over. Great blackberry upside down cake in 8 minutes. What's not to love. I plan to buy two more.

DON

7/9/2008 - victor of WA, USA writes:

I bought two after I watch TV. The product looks very cheap. I only used it three times. Keep on thinking about returning it. However, I was too busy to do it. After a while, I received a small envelope with three very small pamphlets, something like recipe advertisement. And they charged me about $13 for them. I don't know if they will keep on taking money from my credit card account. I feel so regret to buy the product and feel very bad that I trust the advertisment on TV to buy something.

What a great little gadget!

7/7/2008 - Angela of Nevada, United States of America writes:

I bought my GT Xpress 101 at a second hand store for []. It had never been used and was in plastic wrapping, no box, no instructions, no recipes, etc. So I went on the GT Xpress101 wesbite and downloaded the free 101 recipe booklet and started making the most wonderful meals and snacks the first day. There are also folks selling GT Xpress recipe e-books on [] for a just few dollars. I have tried many recipes and made up many of my own and all of them have turned absolutely wonderful. I laugh every time I use it because you just spray it with non-stick cooking spray, load it with your choice of goodies, wait a few minutes and presto! out comes this fabulous little meal or snack! One of my favorite recipes is this breakfast recipe: Spray with cooking spray, put several Tater Tots in the wells and brown them, then pour a beaten egg into each well, top with real bacon bits and shredded cheddar cheese. Cook for 7 minutes and out comes this hot, yummy breakfast that you can eat at home or take with you. I make these and take them to work. My co-workers love them. I highly recommmend this product. If you are creative with your recipes the possibilities are endless! I love my GTXpress 101 and have been considering ordering two more from the GTXpress website. The cleanup is a breeze. Just squeeze a little hot soapy water into each well, close the lid for a few minutes and wipe clean with a paper towel. Give it a try! It's a lot of fun! And no dishes to wash afterwards!
