I bought this primarily to break loose oil filters as I have several vehicles, each of a different size. I couldn't get either one to grab and they just slipped. Finally had to go buy a wrench. Was quite disappointed, as filters don't require much torque. They dont hold on steel pipe either. Design fails to place adaquate pressure on the strap. So it lacks grip and torque. They sit as a reminder that you don't get something for nothing, and really have no other purpose.

I have used the product for years and have found endless uses, and it works well in all applications. Gave one to my mother who uses it for opening all sizes of lids...loves it. The best application is on plumbing fixtures that you don't want to scratch the surface finish on...works like a champ. It really works well on those big, clumbsy lids/covers etc that are hard to get good torque on by hand and too big for a standard wrench...Everyone should have one of these items in their tool box, I guarantee you will find a use for it when nothing else works.
