wasted money

6/13/2008 - mary of ar, usa writes:

I purchased these at WalMart for 9.99. Shared these with my mother. I tried them on lettuce, tomatoes, and fruit, they seemed to make the products mushy. I feel I wasted my money. My mother agreed.

I do love the green bags!

6/11/2008 - Sandra of TX, USA writes:

Being an infomercial gal, I really, really wanted to get them, but held out since you can pretty much find most infomercial items at the store nowadays. I found mine at my local grocery. The bags are fabulous; though I must admit that you don't really need so many of them, at least I don't...anyhow, my bananas do last longer; have tried it on my tomatoes and lettuce; no problem. The only problem was with my strawberries; they did last longer than usual, but I completely forgot all about them...they had been in the fridge for about 3 weeks and they were moldy...yuck. I didn't even keep the bag; just threw it out too. I believe the bags are worth purchasing.

They work great!

6/11/2008 - MomInOh of OH, USA writes:

I got these bags from [] and they do work. So far I tried, Bananas, Lettuce, strawberries, peaches, grapes, cherries, tomatoes and a few others. Everything lasted a lot longer. We have a 4 year old so we buy a ton of veggies and fresh fruits. For $9.99 I save a ton of money.

They don't work!

6/10/2008 - Julie of WA, USA writes:

I wanted to like these. I really did. They did not work on any fruit or vegetable I tried them on. They were somewhat difficult to wash after use. Pieces of rotting leaves and things seemed welded onto the bags. But wash them I did and I kept using them, hoping they would work. I made sure my produce was totally dry before putting them in the bags. I actually have better luck using the free bags I get from the grocery store produce section.

Green Bags

6/8/2008 - Sara of TX, USA writes:

Okay, first of all, don't buy these on the infomercial website. The shipping is retarded, like $20. I found them online at Target for the same price and shipping was $5.99. I also would lay odds if you went to Target, you would find them. These work well. I think they were worth the buy. I have used them for lettuce and strawberries and have yet to have them go bad on me. (while before I wouldn't buy a whole head of lettuce or a lot of strawberries as I ALWAYS ended up throwing them away) I also used them on a flower boquet that worked well and they stayed fresh for several days. I would rate it worth the buy.

Pretty Good

5/18/2008 - Patricia of VA, United States writes:

The green bags are pretty good. They work very well for lettuce and other vegetables. The items must be dry. You can put a couple of paper towels in the bag if you see moisture. Never buy TV products from the people that advertise. Shop around and you can find them cheeper and with lower postage and handling. They do not work for strawberries, or any citrus fruit.

We love these!

5/13/2008 - Rachel of TN, USA writes:

My family loves these bags! They work really, really well. I love having fresh spinach around but I rarely used to buy it because I could never use up a bag before it went bad. Then we discovered these bags. They are wonderful! My spinach has lasted for a couple weeks now and still is as fresh as the day I bought it!

Really works

4/22/2008 - Michael of Ar, USA writes:

Used these for strawberries. Put them in bags and forgot I had them until a week later and they were as fresh as the day I put them in the bags.

These bags do not work

4/17/2008 - Debbie of AZ, United States writes:

Our bananas were ruined within a day storing in these green bags on our counter top. Not sure what these bags are made of, although they do not prolong the life of fruit & vegetables, rather they expedite the ripening process. No ties were used, and we did exactly what the instructions stated. How can you goof this up? You can't, they are a waste of money.

Don't waste your money

4/16/2008 - Darlene of New York, USA writes:

I bought these bags through the TV informercial. The bags were much smaller than the TV shows. The first bag ripped on the second day of use. Could not fit much in the bags either. Wanted to return for refund . . . had a very hard time. I had to contact Attorney General's office and put a dispute on my credit card. Then I was refunded the price of the bags but the S/H I still had to pay. Another note, the S/H was more than the product itself. What a rip off!!

Beware of Shipping Costs

4/15/2008 - Eric of Phoenix, AZ, USA writes:

Shipping is $20 and they don't post that anywhere on the site before processing the order. They tell you how much you paid after they process your credit card. This is extremely fraudulent.

They are magic!

4/6/2008 - Liza of MD, USA writes:

These bags are amazing. They really do what they promise--I have had a head of iceburg lettuce for 2 1/2 mos & it is still green and solid--it is also sweeter, because it is aging but not rotting! I'm sold!!

Not Totally Happy

4/6/2008 - Judi of Nevada, USA writes:

I was very satified with this product until I tried it on oranges and tomatoes. They both acquired mold within 24 hrs or less. Apparently, these bags do not work on citrus, tomatoes, or anything else acidic.

Caveat here!

4/5/2008 - Martin of Ohio, USA writes:

Product works very well for many things. Excellent for lettuce, bananas and fruits (insert paper towel to keep dry). Problem is trying to keep bread/bakery products. If you once allow bread to become moldy inside the bag, the mold spores will remain in the bag and render it useless in the future. This is not really a fault of the product.

Green bags-mixed bag

4/3/2008 - Patty of Washington, USA writes:

I bought the green bags because I was tired of strawberries rotting in a day or two. They work great for them if they are nice and dry. Little grape tomatoes stayed fresh for several weeks without refridgeration. I don't know why the expensive tomatoes on the vine rotted overnight. They were dry. One thing, these bags are supposed to be reusable up to 10 times. Are you not supposed to wash and dry them between uses? After several uses they don't seem so green.

Chef Tony's Smart Lids

4/3/2008 - Raymond of Texas, USA writes:

I have found the lids functionality to be questionable, the ones I have used release their seal after a short time. You have to use a oversize container,to have enough dead space because you have to push the lid so far down to make it seal. After being streched the film wrinkles and heating with hot water does not make them restrech. P&H is not for shipping and handling, it is for payment and profit of the so called free offers $7.95 per item adds to the bill so that a $10.00 deal becomes a $74.95 billing. In my opinion the TV Infomercial is formatted to SCAM the customer, I will never buy into another offer promoted by Chef Tony

$19.95 or $67?

3/30/2008 - Jon of AZ, USA writes:

Ordered bags, thought we'd be billed a modest shipping charge. Credit card was hit with $67 instead of $19.95 -- nice profit! No invoice or info in the plain brown envelope that probably cost seller $2 for total shipping. The bags might keep bananas fresh a tad longer, not easy to tell. Not worth $67 by any stretch.

Don't order these over the phone!

3/27/2008 - Tonya of Texas, USA writes:

I ordered these bags over the phone which took about 20 minutes out of my day, and to make matters worse they over charged me on my debit card. Now I have to be inconvenienced by paying to send them back and then fax the stupid receipt over to them and they will decide if they messed up and then reimburse me. I am so angry I could spit fire. You messed up my order and now I have to be inconvenienced. I won't be a repeat customer!

Green Bags are GREAT

3/17/2008 - Jennifer of California, USA writes:

I bought groceries on Feb 25, it is now Mar. 17 I have asparagus that is in great condition, no mush ends at all. I actually used all 20 bags...even for onions and garlic everything has lasted an incrediably long time. Things usually don't last a week in my house. Only thing I recommend, I bought them at []. Don't waste your time ordering by mail and paying for shipping.

worked great on greens

3/1/2008 - Madeline of New York, USA writes:

I tried one of these bags on a large bunch of organic Swiss Chard. I left in my Fridge for nearly 3 weeks, and finally took it out- it looked every bit as fresh as the day I bought it. I've also put red cabbage, sweet potato, cauliflower and ginger in a bag- all in one bag, since I had just small amounts left of each. These veggies too, kept very well. (I know it is recommended to put only one type of produce in a bag, but I had no trouble with this combination.) Highly recommended by me for the produce I've tested it in so far. I bought them from someone []; had no problem with shipping.
