Cannot imagine not owning one!

9/6/2008 - Donna of Alberta, Canada writes:

Purchased my first George Foreman Grill about 10 years ago from an infomercial. Absolutely loved it from day one. Used it mostly for burgers, steak and pork chops which always cooked through but were still moist. Have also used it for hotdogs, sandwiches, veggies, kabobs. Easy to clean as long as not left for hours. I just wipe off the bulk of the dirt/grease with paper towel while still warm then finish with hot soapy water and a sponge and let the dirty water run into the tray or sink. After ten yeas the black finish started to wear in a few spots also a short in the plug. Had to let it go :( Received a new one as a gift recently :) I highly recommend the George Foreman Grill. A healthy and easy way to prepare meals.

8/11/2008 - Paul of Texas, USA writes:

I bought mine at a [] store for $10 and use it when I don't want to heat up the kitchen, I use it outside since it was missing the grease tray. Its been a while since I used it but its held up fine over 10 years.

Lifesaver!!

7/18/2008 - Libby of NC, USA writes:

This is the one item in my kitchen that I use more than any other hands down. I grill zucchini, squash, onions, and cheese sandwiches for myself, and hamburgers, hotdogs, and chicken breasts for the rest of the crew. I would not change a thing - it is the best purchase I have ever made! The only thing is that I'm scared that one of these days it will break and I wont be able to replace it. All the new ones seems big and fancy with a bunch of removable parts. I sincerely hope that when the time comes, I can get my little single-patty grill again. You will not be sorry purchasing this.

Perfect!

1/6/2008 - Heather of Florida, USA writes:

I picked up a George Forman GR20 in white from [] recently for 24.99 with a gift card. It looks just like the one in the review picture, it's fairly large. My husband and I don't own an outside grill yet, and figured a George Forman would be perfect for our grilling needs, and it sure is. We love cooking up burgers on it, and have never had a problem with the grease tray filling up, but thats because we only cook 2 at a time. I have also brought steaks home from work that cooked up great, juicy and flavorful. The guide book said something about grilling steaks with the lid open and it worked for us, so give that a try if your steaks are a problem. I wait until the grill has cooled to clean it, and have never had a problem with it, clean up with a damp sponge does the trick easily. I can only imagine clean up being hard if you let the grill sit for more then a few hours with stuff stuck inside. I would highly recommend it, it's a godsend to newlyweds.

Bring back the one with the temperature settings

12/29/2007 - terri of Virginia, USA writes:

I hate the new grills, especially with removable plate because they take too long to warm up and don't heat evenly. There is a hot spot and the top doesn't cook well. Why would they make a product with no temperature setting? As if we can cook all foods at the same temperature. I am now looking for an alternative to GF.

Must have kitchen appliance

11/27/2007 - Bill of Indiana, USA writes:

I have 2 models currently and will probably purchase a new G5 for its added features. These are great! Won't replace all your other cooking appliances but provide a great option and will become your preferred method for some foods. Can't beat it for breakfast sausage links. A couple rotations and the come out perfectly browned all the way around. Nearly impossible to do on a griddle or fry pan. Great for bacon too. Very efficient use of wattage confining the heat and doing both top and bottom at the same time. Quicker than a skillet with a lot less energy consumed and elimination of excess fat too. Easy clean up of the grill and no spatter all over the cooking area. Every kitchen should have at least one!

Not Good

11/25/2007 - Jasmine of Ohio, USA writes:

My Grandmother loves using this because she never likes to cook, and an actual "grill" is apparently too expensive. This thing sucks the flavor out of everything. When you try to cook a steak You're left with a dry gross flavorless thing.

Don't see the point

9/9/2007 - Ann of Illinois, USA writes:

I had one of the small George Foreman grills with non-removeable plates, used it twice and traded it for a bread machine. It was a pain to clean and had only one temperature setting. I much prefer using a regular non-stick frying pan or saute pan. Even with removeable plates and multiple cooking temperatures, I can't see the advantage of these products.

fantastic

7/28/2007 - Linda of Alberta, Canada writes:

I bought George when I first saw it demonstrated on a shopping channel. The first ones you could get in black or white. I used it for about 5 yrs with no problem. I liked it so much I gave it to my stepson & his wife hoping they would use it & bought myself a new one. I have been using it ever since until this spring when I got one of the newer ones that has the reg type George on one half & flat side on half so you can do something like eggs or pancakes, & has a temp control for each half. I still have the other grill, but I borrowed it to & was telling her mom about it & her mom got one for her. Any meI put on is done fast & is still juicy unless you overcook it then it would be a bit on the dry side. Best hotdogs I've ever had. When doing burgers I have no problem with the catcher dish getting overfull as I have two & slide the full one out as I slide the clean one in. And clean up - that's a breeze. I just use one of those sponges that are on a handle that you can put detergent in it if you like. If I put a couple of wet paper towels between & heaat it a bit so it steams a little, unplug & wipe upI don't like to cook bacon any other way. No grease messes & it cooks flat instead of getting all curled up. I can't say enough about it & I will not be without one & neither will my kids. We all use it all the time.

Removable surface model recommended

7/16/2007 - Jay of Michigan, USA writes:

This a very popular product and I have used two versions of it. A "mini" version which can cook a hamburger at a time, and a much larger version. Both worked well. The grease runs off into a catching tray for easy disposal. For the most part, they operate as described but cleanup can be messy. There is now a model with removable grilling surfaces which I am told is much easier to clean, much more convienient.

GREAT IF YOU'RE WATCHING YOUR DIET

7/15/2007 - Anonymous of Pennsylvania, USA writes:

I ordered the George Foreman Grill, and it does work like it says it does. I have cooked hamburgers and sausage on it, and it does take some of the grease, but the food still tastes good. If you're watching your diet, especially your fat and cholesterol intake, this is definitely the product for you.

I like it

7/1/2007 - Deanna of Kansas, USA writes:

I have three of these grills. I have had no problems with the teflon coming off, but I don't use it daily. I love the way pork chops come out. Sometime I fry some and use the grill for the others. The chops come out more tender on the grill. Only thing I don't like is the clean up with all the ridges. Yes..I like it.

Gotta love the JoFo

4/27/2007 - Scott of Ontario, Canada writes:

I've had the George Forman for about a year and a half now. Since I live in a 3rd floor apartment, we aren't allowed to barbeque on our balcony, so I have to use an indoor grill. I use the jofo all the time, and it has yet to let me down. I haven't tried any of the recipes or anything, but when grilling it's basically "buy meat, apply heat, eat." One downfall to the jofo is the little grease drip trays. I always manage to fill a couple of them when making 4 burger patties, and the switching of them and dumping them in the sink can be a dangerous and difficult endevour. Instead of using them lately I've been putting the end of the jofo over the sink and grilling sideways. It's a lot easier. Anyway, highly recommended, but I'll be back if the non-stick starts coming off mine or something.

George Foreman Small Grill

4/12/2007 - R. Walker of California, USA writes:

I have had three of these small ones, but the same thing happens every time: after a year of use the teflon begins to bubble and peel off. I use the wet paper towel in the warm unit method to soften cooked on food so I don't have to scrub. I thought at first I had one with a faulty surface, but it happened to the next two also. Sometimes it is too hot and burns stuff, more on one side than another. I have used it for pannini sandwiches, fish (too hot) turkey burgers, lamb chops. I won't get another one. I am looking for another brand that makes a smallish grill with a different non stick surface.

Great cooking, tough cleanup

4/12/2007 - Wesley of Texas, USA writes:

I love cooking with my George Foreman, but cleaning the non-removable grids is difficult and messy. By the one with removable grids.

Hard to Clean, Worth the Effort

4/12/2007 - Walter of Michigan, USA writes:

We were given a used grill - the "non-stick" finish has worn down. Everything we cook sticks to surface, even with spraying the surface with oil. Despite the hassle of cleanup, we use the grill a lot because we like the results. Food tastes better than when we fry or bake; the fat reduction allows us to take advantage of lower-cost hamburger. And it's great for fish and boneless chicken filets. We have the smaller unit - will buy a larger unit.

4/5/2007 - Iman of Michigan, USA writes:

I purchased the georgeforman grill when it first came to qvc, years and years ago. I still have it. We use it every single day. I LOVE it. I am thinking to buy the largest size but was hoping to get rid of the smaller one, it won't break down!
