When my old George Foreman grill finally bit the dust after years of use, my parents picked up a new one for me and my wife. We love it! We've grilled everything from brats to hot dogs to hamburgers on it. We've used it to make waffles and even as a backup toaster. It's easy to clean, too.

Being a culinary purist, I normally wouldn't use something advertised in an infomercial, but this was a gift, and it works great. It cuts cooking time for burgers, chicken breasts, salmon steaks, etc in half. When you use the griddle, pancakes come out huge and fluffy, thanks to the heated top panel. My only beef is with the waffle plates- the waffles tend to be a bit thin, and since they're big and rectangular, they fill up the whole plate- if you shift your plate a bit, you get syrup on your table, lap or hands. Aside from that, though, the waffles cook evenly without burning.

Got this from my brother-in-law as gift. The grill has a good amount of mass to it, and can hold heat rather well. The interchangable plates are easy to clean, and fit in my dishwasher. When cooking waffles, the plates need a cooking spray, as the non-stick surface really isn't all the good. Crumbs can get caught in the hinge joints, and cleaning up during cooking can be a real hassle. The temp knob is a bit innaccurate though. For the price, and what it is capable of doing, it is worth it.

I use it every day. The removable plates make it easier to clean, but the upper plate is much harder to clean. Biggest problem is holding the proper temperature. I need to run it on maximum most of the time. Overall, I would buy it again.

I have had the GF G5 grill since 2/06-Use it very often-I have prepared numerous foods on grill. grill cheese sandwiches, chicken, steaks, shrimp, fish, eggs, vegetables, etc. I spray powdered cooking oil on first just to ease my cleaning. Following the directions make the process of using grill quite efficient. Easy to switch the different cooking plates in and out of machine. After machine cools a little, I wipe plates clean(while in machine) with damp paper towels-I find that food particles remove much easier if cleaned while still warm. I had purchased my grill way before the new infomericals included the omelet plates and the cookbook--so I can't speak on those added items. Having the grill cook from top and bottom creates a more even cooking of food. I highly recommend this product.
