Product Description
The EdenPURE Heater is supposed to heat rooms from wall to wall and floor to ceiling. It is similar to a space heater. However, the makers of the EdenPURE Portable Heater claim their product can "cut your heating bill up to 50% while keeping you toasty warm." The EdenPURE Heater is billed as a safer alternative to traditional space heaters because it generates "infrared heat." The infomercial refers to this as a "soft heat.". The manufacturer also says that EdenPURE can heat rooms faster than combustion heaters and cannot start a fire. Check this page often for reviews of the EdenPURE Portable Heater.

i owned used a eden pure 5 cold mos. last year/turned it on this sept. 1yr. later needs a new fan/out of warranty/pretty spendy $430 top of line unit/what a ripoff. they should be sued. they wont fix it/ripoff!when it did work/thermostat is either to hot or too cold. nothing in between.

We purchased ths product and the first one we received didn't work (thermostat was broken) we returned it (UPS/our expense to the tune of $30.00). We received a reconditioned replacement. It is ridiculous to pay for a new product and then when it doesn't work you are sent a used reconditioned one. If I had wanted a reconditioned heater, I would have bought from a re-sale shop! The second re-conditioned unit worked last winter, saved some on propane, but spent it on electricity. We just plugged it in to use this winter, and it blows barely warmed air - not warm enough to even heat a small box. Now we are stuck with a metal piece of junk on wheels. Went to [] and bought a small heater for $30.00 which works better than the Edenpure. Save Your Money, don't waste it here.

I have never been more impressed with anything i have purchased. I have one Edenpure 1000 Gen-3, and one []. I have saved so much $ on my heating costs (about $300 for the month of Oct, and $400 so far this month) I no longer have to worry about where I am going to get the $1000 to fill my propane tank! People, keep in mind that these are supplemental heat sources, NOT a space heater. They are not meant to bring a cold room to a warm temp, they regulate the heat in an already warm room so your furnace doesn't have to. I can't say enough positive things about this product! It is a life saver!

We bought the EdenPure a few weeks ago, and I do have to say it adequately heats the room I wanted it for. However, my main complaint is how incredibly LOUD the blower is. I tried varying the temperature of the unit, but that didn't make a difference. I would not recommend this unit be used in any room you plan on sleeping in or watching TV. I haven't tried customer service yet, but after reading the comments on here, I'm not sure they'll be able to help.

If i can give this product a 100 Star Rating put me down. I purchased this edenpure heater 3 months ago it does everything as claimed My friend and neighbor bought one after I did. he is getting 2 more and i am getting 1 more and NO I do not work for edenpure but its so nice to just once not get riped off, when I got my eden pure it made a noise like something loose in it, i called the 1-800 number and the lady was very nice she said we have a 6% shipping damage rate. she said for me to put back in box and the next morning Fed-ex would pick it up and if i put invoice number on outside the driver would call and them inform them he had picked it up and they would ship a new one same day. which they did REMEMBER THIS HEATER WAS STILL WORKING. the one that I have now has cut my heating bill a lot in the last few days we have had temp in the mid 30's. the other heat never kicked on if your kids dont throw water ceral and pop in it or try to heat bath water with it it will be fine. I have used every electric heater imaginible all they did was burn my feet and run up my bill Mark

I purchased two EdenPure 1000 XL units last fall - one for us and the other for my father-in-law. Overall, both units provided great heat, however, we have had some issues. My father-in-law's unit will stop working at times. To fix this, he has to turn it off and unplug it for a few minutes. When he plugs it back in, he has to put it on the lowest setting and increase it one increment at a time every few minutes until it kicks on. It is fine for about a week then he has to repeat the same process. But it has stopped him from using the kerosene heaters he used to have and heats better than they ever did! My unit worked great all last season. I use it to to supplement my master bedroom and master bathroom since they are the farthest away from my geo-thermal furnace. This season, it worked for about a week. Now it doesn't heat up. After waiting on hold for a lengthy time and getting bounced around to a few different numbers, I finally talked to a technician who services these units. He told me how to safely get inside the unit and check for components that may not be working. Although, I wouldn't recommend this for everyone since I am a fairly handy person. However, it seems that there are repair shops located around the country where customers may be able to get their units serviced. One website I found lists prices for replacement parts, and these prices seem relatively reasonable to me. So, I'm am very optistic and looking forward to another comfortable winter this year!

About a year ago I bought 2-500xl@ 1-1000xl one of the 500xl quit working in about 30-days,so I sent it back for a replacement, with in less then a month it quit working plus the other 500xl so they both quit working, so like a dummy I put it off thinking I had a year warranty & that it was getting closer to spring so never called them until a month or so ago & got the same response that alot of the rest of you got & that was to send them back at my expence for refurbished once, I told them I payed for new I want new ones NO such luck. Well so I let them have a piece of my mine not just once but twice here in the last month [] customer service that is & told them in not so nice of words that there heaters are pure junk, which I'm sure they've several times by now. I think that anybody that is not happy with there eden-pure heaters including me should write to or email there BBB, attorny generalin there state & in Ohio where []-eden pure are out of,too get that company out of business for good, they've rip off enough people over the years worse then the oil companies have or for that matter any other company period. I think there should be aclass action lawsuit against them & I'm ready to nail them to the wall, they deserve it. There the biggest scammer I have ever dealt with. I think we all need to get together & start a class action lawsuit against them the sooner the better, they need to be stopped in my opinion NOW. And for you people who gave them a four or five star you'll chance your mines guaranteed & for the ones who ordered more, all I can say is your crazy, because they won't last at all & that you can take to the bank. We'll all I can say is I've also been a sucker but I'm also ready to fight back to get them shut down. I'll write to who ever I have too to get something down even president-elect obama if need be, he'll listen. I think there needs to be a class action lawsuit or a very in depth investagation so no more people get rip off & the rest of us get our money back & they can have there junk heaters back. If any one knows if theres a class action against them already email me and let me know?

I bought the Edenpure 500 approx. 2 winters ago. I used it about 5 or 6 times. When I plugged it in last winter it wouldn't work at all. It still won't work. Of course it is out of warranty so no replacement. Very poor quality.

We've had the unit a week and like the heater so far. We found however that while adjusting our TV's volume via remote, it adjusted temp control of unit. TV Volume down adjusts the tempature up! I called EdenPure, they are aware of the problem but have no fix planned. They suggest putting a piece of tape over sensor on unit therby disabling remote control of the unit.

I could not be happier with my edenPURE! I went from paying $500 a month for my fuel oil, to $70 increase on my electric bill. These units have been a God send, and kept me in my home instead of selling. I am so grateful for this amazing, innovative product!

i have had the edenpure gen3 1000 for approx 3months. all i can say is this thing is great. it heats my open concept 1600ft ranch without problem. what they say about even heat is true, you can feel the difference. i have other space heaters and none of them compare to the edenpure. i am reading the negitive reviews and all i can wonder is if it is because those are the older units? because the gen3 1000 model has worked flawless for me and has saved me money on my heating bill!

I purchased an Edenpure fireplase to supplement my propane furnace this year instead of using baseboard heaters because of the danger of fires. So far in Central Ohio it has only gotten into the low 30's so I thought I would try this to see how well it worked. It didn't heat anything. I set my propane furnace on 65 and the hottest my 280 sq foot room got was 66. Keep in mind if I turn the baseboard heats on to med they will run you out of the living room with heat in no time. I found the website for this product very confusing. You sign on to Edenpure.com and call the number, but your unit ships from who knows where. They routed my heater around several dealers in Ohio one just 50 miles away all the way to Colorado. All the nice customer service people taking your order turn into the nastiest people imaginable when you have a problem. Talking to their Service Person is an even bigger joke. For 15 minutes he repeated over and over again if he held his hand in front of the one he had at the warehouse it would burn his hand? Yes you can return it, but what a major hassle. They make it very clear that they will hold you responsible for everything and that you must pack it back like they had it, etc. Who in the world can do this? I am not a shipper and I cannot pack it like the factory does, give me a break. I am returning this product, but I fully expect to be challenged and not get my money back the way I have been treated over the phone. The web site is extremely misleading saying it will heat 1000 sq ft. The minute I called and told them I was having trouble I was informed for the first time it was not a stand alone heater. They told me the website stated this, but which website? I called one number but got the heater from another location? I urge anyone reading this to only buy local, this is way more trouble that it is worth. Even if my united is deemed defective I do not want a replacement. I will just take the loss and move on having learned my lesson. However, I did write Paul Harvey to let him know and suggest that everyone who has a complaint do the same and/or file a compaint with the attorney general in your state if you have a valid claim.

This heater will not perform as advertised. In cold weather it is lucky to heat a small room properly. It still uses as much electric as any other electric heater with the same watts. I have another different brand electric heater which actually does better with no more electric.

I have had this heater for a month now , and it is the BEST thing that I have bought. We run it often and it heats well , and also does not run the bill up much at all. Shipped in no time . Have not had any problems whats so ever . Do not believe what others say that is bad , its truly a work of art !

I got my first Eden Pure 1500 as a gift last year. It worked for a few weeks. Read the manual it said take the filter off back turn it back on a wait a little bit. Worked great after that. Bought my second one about 2weeks after that. My husband has lung problems and during the winter when we have space heaters on his chest hurts more, with the Eden he hasn't complained about it hurting as much. I have a toddlers that I watch and I don't worry about them burning them selfs or something that they might try to put in it or near it. This winter We are looking into the eden pure fireplace. I have a log cabin home in ohio and the two 1500 units heat my whole 1400 first floor with open floor plan even with my leaky logs. I have not put propane in my tank for going on two winters now which is 800 a season with 2 heaters going my electric bill went up only about 10-15 a month. With the money I save in gas bills I plan to buy a new one or two for my basement. The only con I with the Eden pure is once I bought one I want more.

I purchaced the 500 model last fall for my living room. It worked great for about three weeks then it just quit. I called Edenpure and they were very nice and sent me a shipping slip to have it repaired. It was returned within three weeks. Once again it worked for a few weeks and quit. Once again they repaired it at no cost and it worked fine the rest of the winter. I just turned it on 10/22/08 and it turns on but again no heat. I put it out with the trash this Tuesday, I learned an expensive lesson. $300.00 for a heater to save nothing on my heating bill.

My brother in law has been telling me how much he loves his for awhile now, but I was skeptical. This year with the price of propane I decided to try one and have not regreted it a bit. It is very quiet, has a very even heat and how do you put a price on not worrying about your child getting burnt? My co-worker bought one recently from a fireplace store that caries them and said he had to wait in line to buy one. He is also very happy with his purchase.

Well it looks to me like you either love this product or you hate it. I love my Eden Pure heater. It is safer than other space heaters and it has saved me money on my gas bill. I did have an indepth converstion with a sales rep before I bought and they went above and beyond to make sure that I was using the product in the right environment. I could not get through the winter without my Eden Pure. I would highly recommend this heater but I would also recommend speaking with a knowledgable rep before you make this investment.

Broke after 3 weeks. Was promised they would mail return label so I could get return shipping paid for, plus a new larger replacement model for my trouble. Never got any labels, just major grief from customer service who all try to claim they didn't sell the product, nor do they have record of me ever calling (you know, those 15 times I've tried to get thru to these people). Now since it's past 60 days (because of THEIR incompetence) I can only return for a POS refurbished unit that will be lucky to last 1.5 weeks this time. What a nightmare and a waste of money. That all aside, it doesn't really even heat that well and is definitely not worth $100, let alone $300!

I purchased the EdenPure 500XL in oct. 2007 and used it on my porch for 4 months. I brought it out to my porch a week ago as the weather is getting colder and put it on. It worked for an afternoon and then died. I called Eden and They told me I could return (under warranty) but would have to pay the shipping, this is costly as they require it to be sent fedEx or insured mail. I explained I only used it 4 months and there write up states the heating coils should last 3 to 4 yrs. Costumer service was Not helpful at times rude don't buy, this product. My Electric bill went up with this product, bought a vornado and it heats far superior.
