Worthless!

1/5/2006 - David of Michigan, USA writes:

I own a construction company and ordered this it out of curiosity. Firstly the drill itself is junk. After it performed poorly I opened it and found a cheap motor. Everything else on the drill was flimsy as well, including the touted battery. This drill does not compare to other 18v drills. For instance the maxrpm on this is 550, while the maxrpm on the Dewalt is 1500. Even the Ryobi 9.6v that goes for thirty bucks has more rpm. I use a Makita at work, and a High power Bosch when I need more power. Both of these companies produce well engineered, that sell themselves on their virtues rather than marketing tactics. I looked into the company and found that "Mansfield tools" is a paper company set up by a marketing group. The actual manufacturer is Kinpow Industry. This is to the point of en masse thievery. Such marketing tactics are reprehensible and should be illegal, I'm simply appalled

Too slow !

1/3/2006 - Paul of Pennsylvania, USA writes:

I bought the Dual drill and have been using it on occasion when drilling and driving is required. I personaly think it's too slow. It just doesn't have the rpm I need. I'm breaking drills left and right. I have carpel tunnel syndrome in both hands and find it difficult to change chucks after 30 min of use. It's not much heavier than my old drill but that little bit of extra weight catches up to you after a while. Cool concept but I'm going back to my old quick change system and returning this thing as soon as I can find out who to contact.

Who are these people? No really.

12/15/2005 - Greg of Georgia, USA writes:

I just recieved my Dual Drill that I ordered by phone after watching an early morning infomercial. When I ordered the unit all I had was a phone# that I scratched down while watching the show. I recieved unit seems like about 4 months after I ordered it. I had forgotten about it. When it arrives there is no valid means by which to contact anyone, I do mean anyone. The website on the box is invalid. The user handbook simply says for warranty questions contact "Mansfield tools". No number, no address, no phone #. 1/2 the bill was the xtra battery and "lifetime warranty" on the batteries. WHO are these people. No invoice, nothing with contact information of any kind. Maybe nothing will ever fail and I won't need to contact anyone. NOT too satisfied with documentation and lack of contacts.
