Class Action Suit?

4/29/2006 - Judith of California, USA writes:

I bought this about 6 months ago and just tried it this morning. Other comments regarding the performance are true. The thing just smokes and fires and there is no return address. Does anyone want to join me in a class action suit if I can get info on the marketing company?

Don't BUY PERIOD!!!

4/15/2006 - Von of Oregon, USA writes:

Don't waste your money on this product its cheaply made the drill chuck is flimsy, motors got no torgue, the thing is huge and heavy. The battery doesn't last long even after priming. I wish I would've spent the extra money on a Dewalt Drill with a quick change chuck and be satisfied. So before you consider this Dual Drill check you local hardware stores fist! Stick to a name brand if possible. You get what you pay for.

MY LAST SCREW

4/4/2006 - Vickie of Mississippi, USA writes:

I would love to use my drill ,but after I discharged my battery, my charger started to smoke. I have tried to replace the charger and or at least get a new battery for now, but it is all on back-order still after 3 mos.It seems they are filling orders first. My fear is if I send it back I will really get SCREWED.Thanks

NO GOOD

4/4/2006 - Miranda of Mississippi, USA writes:

My mom ordered this drill. The first time she went to use it the charger burned up. After calling customer service about ten times. she has been told the charger and batteries are on back order. That was three months ago. When I called, as a reporter, they hung up on me. P.S. I am not really a reporter but they don't know that!!!!

Not so bad.....

3/31/2006 - Jon of Florida, USA writes:

I bought the Drill and have used it many times. I like it a lot for work around the house. Not sure if I would use it at a construction site, but worked great for my grill, patio set and hanging pictures and curtrains. I did some reasearch and found that there are actually 2 companies working on this product, Reliant (listed) and All Star Marketing. Not sure of either's location, or reputation. Good product!

This drill is a piece of doo-doo!! I want my money back and for those of you who want the same, I did some research (no info in the packing box to send it back or call) but you CAN call 1-866-769-8084 or 1-800-645-8823. I did and I'm sending the thing back for a full refund...we'll see how that goes. Good luck!

RIP OFF to the MAX

3/25/2006 - Charles of Texas, USA writes:

Purchased 2 drills - got 2 drills within a week. Asked for 3 pay billing. Got billed all at once. Tried the drill - I can hand drill faster than this junk. No power, battery does not last - worthless tool. The second one was for my friend - the shaft wabbles so bad that you can't even drill a hole. Why doesn't the government require some king of testing be done before an infomercial can be aired. No paperwork in the box - packing slip or copy of an invoice, no phone numbers to call - no website that works. Wish I'd have found this rating before I purchased. Hope I can find a way to return them and just get credit and move on. This crap shouldn't even get a 1/2 star. Buyers beware this is a pig of a product and the company behind it is even worse.

girly man drill

2/25/2006 - John of Virginia, USA writes:

I have not order this drill, but from the commercial here's my take. If you're looking for a powder puff drill then this is the one for you. If you're hanging drapes, pictures or anything requiring an ittsy bittsy hole it can do the job. Just a suggestion, if you actually need a multi function drill then buy you a quality drill with a quick change accesory kit and leave the girly man drill for the ladies. Don't waste your money, you'll be sorry in the long run. Pros: Unique design Cons: Low RPM, Short battery charge, Misleading TV ad.

Works for home use

2/7/2006 - Harold of Ohio, USA writes:

I would say that the price for the Drill is in line with the quality. I have not had any problems with it. I do use the flip feature all the time, and don't use it for heavy drilling, so maybe thats why its working well for me.

Brhhhhhhhhh

2/7/2006 - Harry of Colorado, USA writes:

I hope that the same engineers for the three gorges dam didn't design this drill. 1.Is a drill motor supposed to smoke? 2Is a drill motor supposed to squeal? 3Is a drill supposed to stop before the job is done? 4I like the idea of not having to change bits but it is a little tiring having to change batteries every 10 holes drilled. RETURNED

Not worth it

2/3/2006 - John of Florida, USA writes:

I install cabinets for a living and thought this would save me time. The concept is good however, the drilling was so slow that it actually took me longer to do my job than by changing bits. I also had a very bad experience when ordering the product which took me 4 months to receive!

WARNING

1/30/2006 - David of Michigan, USA writes:

Be careful, i install fence for a living bought the drill and it is horrible, it does not last worth a crap, i drilled 14 holes into treated lumber and had to charge it again, returned it and went back to old faithful dewalt w/ speed lok bit, 72 holes drilled on one charge. You deside.

Horrible

1/26/2006 - Miranda of Indiana, USA writes:

My fiance ordered this product months ago. He ordered only one, but when he received it, there were four drills and five bit sets. The drill is obviously not as good as it was made out to be. It's too slow and cheaply made. After spending a half hour trying to find a way to talk to somebody, the lady we finally talked to was extremely rude and refused to let us talk to a supervisor. And, yes, mansfield is a marketing company and the tools are made by Kinpow. Ordering this product is a very big mistake!

The real test.

1/21/2006 - Patrick Hutchinson of South Carolina, USA writes:

The infomercial is misleading and Mansfield should been charged with fraud. I did'nt even have it for 1 day. I tested it against a Craftsman 19v drill. I use a quick exchange chuck in the craftsman which made the bit change much easier then the Dual drill. The power or the Dual Drill was not good at all and only lasted about 25 minutes, which ment having to be recharged for about 1 hour. I found the dual drill to be very difficult to manage in tight area, especially in places that needed deep penetration due to the extra chuck on the drill. I could not make it half way throught the bit. I tried to call and order another battery so as to have an extra battery while the other was charging and I could not find the number to call, nor the website to order a replacement.

Total Scam Rip Off

1/19/2006 - William of California, USA writes:

I ordered one drill after watching there ad on tv, they sent me one drill by itself, and then three more together in a seperate box. I called and was told they will bill me for four drills, I explained I ordered one drill. I was told to return at my expense three, and I would be credited for them after they recieve them, til then I am owing over $600.00. I am a single parent barly getting by, this is killing me. I tested the one drill I did order, and it is total, absolute junk. I will return it as well, but something tells me I will still be paying for four drills I do not have, and be fighting for weeks if not months to get it resolved.

this drill sucks

1/18/2006 - Dianne of North Carolina, USA writes:

If China's nuclear capability is anything like their drill, we have nothing to worry about. Suffice it to say this drill is a complete waste of time/money and a major headache. Rather than complain, here's some helpful advice. Your first $39.95 payment is actually $66.89 and they freeze the amount due in your checking account for the full 14 day free trial period. It comes out on day 15. To speak to "customer service" requires an act from congress. If you ordered this piece of crap over the phone, you need to call 800-645-8823. If you ordered online, call 866-769-8084. Whether you get anywhere or not remains to be seen.

Poor Quality-Junk

1/11/2006 - Stacey of Massachusetts, USA writes:

This drill is very cheaply made-especially the motor which has hardly any power and the rpms is way too slow. It's a toy not a tool! Poor customer support, no phone number on where or who to call for problems or repair. Buyer beware!
