Product Description
Now there is a new way to soften your fabrics, Dryer Balls. These two little Dryer Balls will take the place other fabric softeners without the use of chemicals - so they are perfect for anyone with sensitive skin. Dryer Balls are reusable and hypoallergenic. How it works: Just toss the Dryer Balls into the dryer with your normal load of laundry. Dryer Balls tumble in the dryer to lift and separate laundry allowing hot air to flow more efficiently. The soft nodules (tips) massage the fibers, opening them up and making them naturally soft and fluffy and reducing lint and wrinkles without the use of chemicals. Safe for all fabrics. The unique soft rubber material actually reduces static in fabrics, eliminating the need for dryer sheets. Dryer Max Dryer Balls reviews below when available.

Happy Dryer

My wife loves this product. But I think they are over priced. May I suggest that you save some money by buying these at the [] at two for a dollar.

Worth It

9/29/2008 - Lauren of PA, USA writes:

I originally bought a pair for $9.99 at a home goods store because I was washing a comforter. They were wonderful at fluffing up the comforter, and now I keep them in the dryer all the time. I didn't notice an increase in noise, but it might just be the way my dryer is set up (in a closet). I still use a dryer sheet because I like the smell, but I found I can cut the dryer sheet in half. Things definitely do dry faster.

Should be sold as a 4-pack

9/23/2008 - Kyle of NWT, Canada writes:

After a year of use I am satisfied with this product. Where I live is EXTREMELY dry so I found that I needed 3 for damp-dry & 4 for dry. If you tend to over-dry your clothes (which most people tend to do), more may be required. The noise level on dryer start-up is higher, but does subside somewhat over time. I bought these at a brick & mortar store, so I cannot comment on the manufacturer's customer service.

Not Worth It!

9/22/2008 - Sherry of HI, USA writes:

I'm all for helping the environment but these things are very noisy and my clothes were full of static electricity! I live in Hawaii, static should not be a factor!

Energy savings and soft clothes in one

9/15/2008 - Dennis of NY, USA writes:

First the bad news. Yes, they make impact noise in the dryer that can be disturbing. And they have no masking odor or anti-static chemicals. Now the good news. These balls actually shorten drying time up to 20% (even better if the lint filters are clean). They do soften clothes without leaving an odor that can put poison in your body as well as in your clothes. They save money, both on dryer sheets (or liquid softener) and on energy. No waiting for the rinse cycle or heavy, messy lifting and measuring. And no dryer sheet for the landfills. I would definitely recommend getting them at your local stores. Chances are you will save a couple more dollars that way, get them immediately, and bypass any service and return issues.

Works for me

8/22/2008 - David of CT, USA writes:

I bought my first pair at a fair, where they showed the gunk that dryer sheets leave on clothes. Plus, dryer sheets make towels less absorbent. I've bought two more and have been using them for years. My laundry is in my basement, and for small loads, I can hear them bouncing upstairs. Yes they're loud, but I prefer that to coating my clothes in chemicals. Clothes come out just as fluffy. I recommend them.

Too noisy

8/5/2008 - CalgaryGirl of Alberta, Canada writes:

I bought them and used them for a few months. They are loud and I keep thinking I put shoes in the dryer. I think the cloths were a little fluffier, but nothing huge. I stopped using them because of the noise.

Great value...4 works better than 2!

7/18/2008 - Deanna of Quebec, Canada writes:

I purchased this product in the As Seen on TV section of a local pharmacy. I absolutely love them. At first, there is a bit more noise, but once they heat up/soften up, it's barely noticeable. I purchased this product to keep cloth diapers softer, and decrease drying time. They have done both of these, and I'm now using them on all my clothes. I can line dry, and when clothes are ALMOST dry, toss them in the dryer with the dryer balls, and they come out soft and wrinkle free. Great product! I paid around $10.00 for 2!

Saves on waste!

7/6/2008 - Samantha of Wisconsin, USA writes:

We started using this product to conserve on all the waste that dryer sheets contribute unnecessarily to the earth. We found it at an As Seen on TV area at a local department store for about ten bucks. When that price is considered along with how much you'd spend on dryer sheets with how long these balls will last, you're actually saving quite a bit of money. In addition to this, the product actually works very well! I think most people complaining about the noise probably have both balls in with very little clothing, because I live in a small apartment, and noticed no differences in noise. No static, no wrinkles, and no waste!

Not Worth it

5/30/2008 - Barb of ND, USA writes:

I was disappointed. They made a lot of noise, enough to hear throughout the apartment, and my clothes came out crackling with static and stuck together.

They Work

5/7/2008 - Dennis of AZ, USA writes:

We have a small apt. size dryer and they work better than dryer sheets for what we do. First we pre-dry the clothes on a line until almost dry or fully dry then use 2 dryer balls to take out the wrinkles and stiffness. The only problem I had was after overloading the dryer they balled up inside the sheets but my wife has not had that problem. I'm thinking of buying another pair and seeing how they works out. We feel we already got our value back in the 6 months since buying the product.

Works well

4/22/2008 - Jason of California, US writes:

They work great for most things except some of my slacks. For some reason two pairs of my slacks always seem to be staticy after using the dryer balls, and I end up having to use dryer sheets. Other than those two pairs of slacks they works great.

Way too noisey

4/16/2008 - Richard of Sask, CA writes:

I did not find any appreciable difference between balls and no balls. I did find the noise levels of those balls bouncing around in the dryer with small loads was, in fact, unbearable. I suppose that is the problemm with main floor laundry. As far as functionality, the kids are now using them as toys, and Bounce sheets are back.

Love them

1/2/2008 - Maggie of Missouri, USA writes:

I love the dryer balls and give them as gifts too. They are especially great for my blouses to keep them from being wrinkled. Our local news station had a lady do a test on towels and she showed that the towels dried with the dryer balls were fluffier than the stack dried without the balls. They're really great for baby clothes since you can't use dryer sheets for them. I still use dryer sheets just for the smell but that's my choice. Sometimes my kids get my laundry out and my dryer balls get lost so I have had to go out and buy several packages of them cuz I don't like doing laundry without them. Towels are softer using them. The only time I don't use them is for bedspreads cuz they might get lost. I tell everyone about them, even when I'm in stores. Seeing is believing. Buy them and see how great they are. They don't tear up clothes or hurt them at all. I've been using them a couple years now. They're a laundry must.

Not Bad

12/20/2007 - Don of Ontario, Canada writes:

Saw the ad for these balls in a flyer, and thought'Why not". I was hoping they would eliminate static cling, but after I read the ad again, they didn't promise that at all. They do, however, really make the clothes come out of the dryer much softer. There is a notable difference from not using them at all, and it also makes them a lot easier to fold. Not a bad product at all

Crazy But They Work

12/19/2007 - Christopher of California, USA writes:

You would'nt think 2 plastic balls would do anything, but it works really well, mine are turning a light brown on the tips from using them so much, but my cloths are soft and I no longer use dryer sheets. Also stops wax from building up on the dryer filter. Just watch the dogs don't get them! Highly Recommended!

Useful

8/14/2007 - Jeanie of Florida, USA writes:

I must say these do work. I think they work better when you use fabric softener but even without they do a nice job of fluffing towels and other things you wouldn't use softener on as a rule. Am not one bit sorry I purchased these for they also slightly lower drying times. But removal of the items from the dryer after the cycle is paramount.

Dryer Balls work well.

7/14/2007 - Rick of Maryland, USA writes:

This product isn't going to save you any money or prevent you from needing dryer sheets because it doesn't prevent static. But it does fluff your laundry and thats really why I purchased the product. Just be realistic in your expectations when you buy these types of products.

Pretty Good Product

6/10/2007 - Anonymous of Alberta, Canada writes:

I bought this product at a Home and Garden Show and the girl at the booth claimed that the dryer balls will dry your clothes faster, and your clothes will come out static free and fluffy. She also recommended using half the amount of laundry detergent and to add some Borax when washing because it's the laundry detergent that will cause the clothes to be staticky after being in the dryer. I bought the product and tried it out with her advice in mind, and the clothes did come out fluffy and most of my clothes dried in half the time (although fabircs like jeans took 3/4 the amount of time that it used to), but my clothes still came out staticky. Then, I discovered a natural laundry detergent called Nellies and when I started using this product to wash my clothes, I have discovered that my clothes don't come out of the dryer staticky anymore (except during winter when it's mildy staticky). So when the girl told me that static was caused by the laundry detergent, she wasn't lying. One last thing, the dryer balls aren't very useful with bedding, it tends to get tangled up in it. Otherwise, this is a pretty good product. With the amount of money it's managed to save me it's already paid for itself.
