Not for my oily skin

2/6/2007 - Kim of California, USA writes:

I got my Dermacia yesterday. Put it on and it looked Great! After 2 hours my skin looked oily so I blotted (didn’t wipe) and the makeup started to come off. I get really oily around my nose area. So it came off around my nose and stayed in other (much dryer) areas of my face. Today is day 2 a much of the same. I will be returning it and going back to my Bare Minerals. It may look very dry and powdery when I first put it on. But after 1 hour, my oils mix with them and make it look like a flawless foundation, that I can touch up when ever needed. For $99, if it says it is going to stay put not matter what, I think it should. I can get my Bare Minerals for $25 and it last me 4-6 months. I would say the cost savings speaks for itself.

Doesn't live up

2/1/2007 - Helene of Massachusetts, USA writes:

Really gave this a fair try,but it is just not that great, especially considering the 99.+s+h pricetag!I have dry skin with smokers lines around mouth and some age spots. It absolutely does not cover the spots and believe me I tried!Accentuated lines.I also do not like this 2 different colors thing so many companies are now doing.I just don't have the time or inclination to try to mix and find the right match for my skin.Isn't that their job?At least we should have the choice of 1 or 2 colors and whether we want the cleanser, toner, moisturizer. Also needs a seperate concealer.I sent it back!

It's fairly good

1/29/2007 - Jenny of California, USA writes:

I got Dermacia from my sister in law for Christmas so I have been using the foundation for one month. I have normal/dry skin that isn't very sensitive. I haven't used any of the other products, but I really like the foundation. It's coverage is very flawless, but might be a bit too thick for everyday use. It seems to me to be a very good department store foundation. I'm not sure that my skin has improved because of it's use, though.

truely beautiful!

1/28/2007 - Gloria of Illinois, USA writes:

I have finished my first week of Dermacia, and I love it! After reading some of the comments that people who didn't like it had made, I was uncertain, but thrilled that I took the chance, because it has made my skin look truely beautiful!! This creamy, gel base foundation glides on easily, and stays put all day, and on into the night-REGARDLESS of temperature, activity, etc. For those of you who say it is "cakey", try a good exfoliator for your skin. A smooth canvas make the artist's work exquisite. Also, instead of your fingers, try the application sponge, but dampen it with water first-this ensures an even application, and blends much better. Good skin care and proper application techniques make all the difference with any product, however, this is an exceptional one, so it makes it all that much better!! Thank you Dermacia!!

NOT THE REAL STUFF

1/27/2007 - Laura of New Jersey, USA writes:

The infomercial product is not the real Dermacia MD (formally known as lycogel) that celebrities use. What you get is Dermacia PRO which quality wise is comparable to the lowest end drugstore make-up, seriously. This stuff is so cheap and looks even cheaper on. It does not apply easily at all like they claimed. And even after its caked on (because thats the only way it applies) it still doesn't cover imperfections. I am so dissapointed i got scammed.

Not for me

1/27/2007 - Joan of Tennessee, USA writes:

I tried the cleanser in this line and had a rash and was extremely sensitive to where my eyes were nearly closed. The make-up looks fake.. I would research this product further before I placed my endorcement and reputation on it.

Does live up to any claims

1/25/2007 - Dolores of California, USA writes:

on a scale of 1-10 the product rates 1.The deceptive way they handle the charge of $99 for 2 bottles is as fake as the makeup. It is not a free trial & does not do what they say. It's all deceptive & doesn't live up to any of its claims.

My Dermacia Experience

1/22/2007 - Denise of Hawaii, USA writes:

I have combination oily/dry skin. Cleanser and toner made my skin exta dry. Moisturizing spray felt like water and nothing more, my skin still felt dry and tight. Foundation did not match my skin tone. Eecieved two different colors. Ebony foundation looked purple on my skin. Tawny foundation was okay, took a couple of applications to blend just right, who wants to spend all that time blending. I have dark spots on my skin, Dermacia didn't cover them. Was more of a veil than anything else, could still see dark spots. Dermacia looked like a mask, skin felt itchy. The price for the average female who just wants flawless looking skin without having to give an arm or legg for it is a bit high. I have been using bare minerals for 2 years and it was just awesome for me. Decided to try something different because I'm a clutz when it comes to loose powders.

not for me

1/21/2007 - Stephanie of Ohio, USA writes:

Ok I bought it, I tried it, not for me. I didnt think it covered my scars any better then store bought and I thought it would not transfer to my clothes etc...well it does, rubs off like any other store bought.

Worthy

1/15/2007 - Michelle of California, USA writes:

Initially, I thought the foundation looked cakey when I put in on my fingers, but once I applied it to my face, the coverage was pretty smooth. In general, I hate having to feel as though I have a ton of makeup on my face, but dermacia foundation feels really light. To my surprise, I began receiving compliments from people about the look of my skin, which I seriously hardly ever, ever hear...I had to go through a couple of trial and errors to find the color that best matched my skin. I thought the price was a bit expensive at first, but I'm definitely pleased with the results and think it's worth every single penny!!

Waste of money

1/11/2007 - Maggie of Washington, USA writes:

Dermacia's makeup would NOT go on well. I used makeup sponge, brushes and my fingers, nothing worked. The makeup remained cakey. I used it over moisturised skin and unmoisturised skin, still wouldn't go on well. Not only that, it made my face itch. I couldn't even wear it. The spray-on moisturiser was a joke, seemed like nothing but water. The toner dried my skin out. I did like their cleanser, though.

Pretty good

12/16/2006 - Kelly of New Mexico, USA writes:

I've had two full days in this makeup, and it's not bad. Initially I was worried because the color that came out of the bottle looked WAY too light for me, but when I applied it it seemed to disappear into my skin. It's especially good at covering my dark under-eye circles. I'm oily to begin with, but I noticed that I don't get as oily as quickly as I would without makeup. The problems I have with the kit are 1) the moisturizer spray - it's basically worthless. I use my regular moisturizer and the results are better. And 2) the cleanser is a little drying. My regular cleanser takes the makeup off just as easily. Overall, I'll probably keep using the product.

Love Dermacia

11/21/2006 - Carrie of California, USA writes:

Dermacia is the first product that I try that it actually does what it supposed to do. I love it! Take it from someone who has tried EVERY product possible including Bare Escentuals and Sheer Cover...nothing has worked til now. Dermacia blends perfectly on my face without streaking, when I look in a magnifying mirror, I see my skin not the product, and my inperfections are well tucked in. Dermacia does not settle in the fine lines. I am happy I tried it. It is $$, but I have spent much more trying other products. I will definately continue to use Dermacia.

not for oily skin

11/20/2006 - Stephanie of Florida, USA writes:

dermacia is easy to apply, loved the coverage and the color matched my skin well. However, i have oily skin which made the makeup "melt". I had areas around my nose that you could see my pores/skin underneath the makeup and the slightest touch took large areas of makeup off. Upon initial application, it was very resistant to coming off. However, for you with oily skin, beware. You will have to remove and reapply 2-3x a day to keep the same look. There is no touchup with this makeup.

Cakey

11/10/2006 - Kate of Washington, USA writes:

The color was terrible, the moisturizer didn't, and the foundation looked like it was caked on. I returned it right away, and I'm still waiting for the credit to show up

WONDERFUL

10/31/2006 - Debra of Tennessee, USA writes:

I tried this product because I have adult acne, scars and splotchy skin. the product actually helped heal my acne breakouts faster, kept them covered somewhat naturally and stayed on all day.. I love it but returned the extras. Customer service allowed me to make my own kit and specify frequency of delivery. Could use more variance of colors.

Great!

10/10/2006 - Terry of California, USA writes:

I did try it and I loved it! The coverage is smooth, waterproof and lasted all day. The only thing is that I think it's a bit pricey, but otherwise totally worth it.

9/12/2006 - June of Pennsylvania, USA writes:

I have been using this product for a year. I find it is the perfect makeup, love the color and the way it makes my skin feel. Only problem is it is a little expensive. Wish I could purchase it in stores, etc.
