Chia Pets are awesome. I've had two and have grown them both several times. You get enough seeds to do them 2 or 3 times. Now...admittedly, mine have never looked anywhere near as good the commercials. They're also kind of messy and the seeds like to slip off. If you're just looking for a cool little novelty they're great and I will certainly be growing mine again..I mean come on, it's a Chia Pet!

It works really well. Soak the chia, soak the seeds overnight, and in a few weeks you have a green dog! I wasnt sure if the part where you fill water in the hole of the chia worked, so I did that and watered the outside!

I had hoped that my Chia Pet would look like the one one the box: Covered with lush, green 'hair'. It was not to be. I followed the instructions to the letter, but my pet came out with more bald spots than I could stand. I had envisioned the finished product to be proudly displayed on my mantel but I took it out in the back yard and hit it with a baseball bat. Come to think of it, I probably got my moneys-worth.

I bought a Chia Cat Grass. What a waste of money. There was the Sylvester & Tweetie Bird planter and a bag of soil. And nothing else. No seeds. No nothing. Oh, but hey! I can buy more seeds "using the enclosed card"! sheeesh What a tremendous waste of money. huge disappointment. Won't be buying any more. :o(

I bought the Chia Scooby Doo head for my special needs brother who loves the charcacter. I followed the instructions and it grew great for weeks! Keep the bowl full of water and the humidity high as you would with any plant. The package of seeds lasts through at least four plantings, and you can order more seeds. My brother loved watching it grow!

Both of my sons have tried Chia pets. The first one grew a little- then died. The second one did nothing. Getting started is a little difficult with spreading your plant "solution" on the figure. However, both boys want to try again- we have neat terra cotta figurines left.
