I found my Bonzai Chopper on clearance at [] for $5.00. For what it is, I think it works well -- it's great for chopping garlic, small onions, and fruits. It doesn't do as well with bigger things (large onions, peppers, etc.), but if you chop them at least into quarters first, it works well enough. Not worth $20, in my opinion, but definitely worth the $5 I paid for it!

I bought the Bonzai Chopper on offer in []. I have to say I was a little disappointed as I wanted it mainly for chopping up onions finely and you have to cut it up into fairly small pieces for it to work easily which defeats the object really - it takes so long that I find it easier to cut up an onion myself! Putting hard pressure on the top doesn't work it will just crush the veg and make it stick in the top. I find it is great for celery, peppers, cucumber, potatoes etc but again it works best if you cut it up smaller. I am not sorry I bought it as its great for salads and soups but disappointing for onions. I don't find it difficult to clean, I like the plastic filter as it removes must of the residue and I use a small nail brush to clean the top quite easily.

I found this chopper to be a terrible waste of both time and money. I think the problem is that the blades just aren't as sharp as the commercial claims they are. I tried chopping onions and found I had to slice them into quarter inch thick slices to get them to go through the dicer blade. Then I tried celery, which was a big mistake. Instead of chopped celery, it was just mangled and hard to clean from the blades. Potatoes went through okay if sliced no more than 1/2 inch thick before inserting them into the dicer. The concept of the dicer would be okay, but the blades just aren't sharp enough to be effective. I wish I had kept my box so I could have sent this one back. It's now in a box for a yard sale this summer.

I bought the chopper in a local store and its pretty good. I have to cut everything into strips first and then it chops great. It works best of not too soft, not too hard veggies, cucumbers and pickles work great but tomatoes are good when they are too soft. Its best when you bang the cover down in one motion instead of pushing it down with pressure. It has a lot of small spaces which can be annoying to wash but if you wash it in the dishwasher it should be fine (i dont use a dishwasher)

My husband bought the Bonzai Chopper for me as a gift. I love it! It took a little trial and error, but as long as you have whatever your chopping turned the right way, it works great, ie: green peppers you have to place skin side up, or they just get mushed. I haven't had any problems with this chopper at all. My salad making and supper making times have been cut down by a ton and I am very happy.

I bought this chopper at a []. I bought it mainly for dicing onions, and wanted to try it for potatoes. It takes a fair amount of whacking to actually use, but it was ok with the onions. It was brutal with the potatoes, they kept being pushed over the the edges where they couldnt be sliced. i REALLY had to exert aloy of pressure to get the taters thru. It was hard to find the right sized ones to use too, as the top of the unit doesnt open high enough for reg. sized potaoes. Cleaning the metal slicing grids is a job and a half. Was hoping it would have worked better.

I bought this product at [] because it was a little cheaper than the vidalia chop wizard. It was a complete waste of money. It was dull and just mashed the onion into mush. Imagine what it would do to a tomato. Glad I bought it [] so that I could take it back for a FULL refund no questions asked. So don't waste your time or mooney buying this product.
