Not for Sensitive Skin

I loved the way the makeup looks on the face, but I do not recommend this for sensitive skin. I broke out in small bumps all over my forehead and couldn't figure out what it was from. I switched cleansers, etc and finally decided to stop using Bare Minerals. The bumps went away. The other thing I noted is that my blemish scars did not stay covered with Bare Minerals. A traditional concealer under the Bare Minerals worked much better. Overall I will never use the product again because of the reaction.

I have been using Bare Minerals consistantly since 2005.It is currently the BEST make-up I've ever used. My face doesn't feel like I am wearing make-up when I put it on, instead it gives my face a refreshed look and a glow. It doesn't clog my pores and if I'm too tired at night to remove it I just go to bed wearing it.I've NEVER had a problem with it. For me it stands by what it's claims are. This is a wonderful make-up. I've told others about it when they've ask me why I'm glowing and they have try it as well.

I am a mom of a 3 year old and don't have a lot of time or effort to put on make up. I love this product because once you get the hang of it, it is easy & fantastic! At first the steps took a long time but now I can do my whole face in less than 10 min (including mascara) I like that it isnt cakey and doesnt wear off easily or quickly. What can I say I love it!

I have very bad acne prone skin and I have always used the high end clinique makeup and always made my skin break out and very oily but I bought this and thought I will test this at work where I am always de oiling my face throught out the day with those oil blotters for the first time in years I have not had to get those blotters out! This make up is awesome its covers everything! And it is just amazing I love this makeup and I am ready to throw away my old stuff!

I can't say this is the best for everyone. You should definitely try it and judge for yourself. I have very dry, sensitive skin and rosacea and Bare Minerals has worked miracles on my skin. I've never in my life gotten compliments on my complexion until I started wearing it. I've been using it for about 5 years and couldn't imagine going back to regular liquid foundation.

I love this product. I've been using this for about 2 years and the price is reasonable. I love the coverage that it gives but true that it is slightly messy but very minor compare to what it has to offered. The brush is not the best but works fine, tho I have my own brush sets since I have very sensitive skins. If people followed the directions and watch the video they shouldn't have any problems. Make sure you buy the right color wrong color will make you look cakey...so ask for help in chosing what work best for your skin color and type. Please remember this is not a miracle powders, so don't have such a high expectency, it doesn't make a 40 yrs old look 20. I'm 31 and it works like wonder. I've recommended BE to all my friends and they loved it.

Been using product for last 2 months and so far I'm pleased with all aspects. I have combination skin and it gives me good coverage and doesn't turn my skin orange like the competition's. I shop from [] where they have good values on kits that include great quality brushes, not cheap ones that "shed" badly (the comptetitors) The fact that it is fragrance free is a big plus. Too many of the fancy department store lines use way too much fragrance. Hello!!!I don't want to smell my foundation! The positive reviews for this product outweigh the negatives. There will always be people who have adverse reactions to certain makeups, no matter how "natural and pure" they are. Their opinions are still worthy and helpful to others who might experience the same sensitivities. Just try it and if you don't like it, get a refund and keep looking for something that works for you.

this foundation is mistake proof and leaves the appearance of a flawless complexion. even as a stroke survivor and the ability to use only one hand and one arm i can still create the look of flawless skin and still get compliments on my skin thank you Leslie and all those at bare minerals i have tried the knock-offs since i am a makeup junkie but none compare to bare minerals

I bought this after I tried Jane Irizarry's mineral powder(which was too "pancake-y"), and Bare Minerals is much better. I don't have problem skin, I'm 51, and it covers great! the "bisque" powder works on the circles under my eyes, and the "well rested" just takes years off my look, because it evens out and brightens the skin on my lids and eyes. I will never go back to foundation. The bronzer is all I really use for color although at night I may throw on a light blush, but the bronzer just gives you such a natural look. The "mineral veil" I use when going out for a more "polished" look, otherwise for everyday I don't use it. It takes five minutes to apply. I use the spray moisturizer on my face before putting the powder on. I love the stuff!(I got the "fair" kit - my skin is kind of light with yellowish undertones)

I have tried everything with my sensitive, acne prone skin and this make up is reasonably priced and delivers more than is expected! Flawless look, all natural, ease of use, quality brushed/applicators, used for over 5 years now and I still think it's phenomenal!

I started using Bare Minerals over a year ago and absolutely LOVE it! You do have to use the DVD and practice for a few days to get the techniques right, but the results are well worth it! I have had acne since I was 11 and have been wearing makeup ever since. Bare Minerals is the first makeup ever to actually cover the redness and to not look cakey or feel heavy. Since using Bare Minerals my acne has actually improved!! I could not be happier!

This is BY FAR the best makeup I've ever used. I was very skeptical b/c it was on an infomercial, but once [] started carrying it, I had to try it. Those that say they don't get good coverage are obviously using it wrong. I had severe acne in my younger years, hence scaring and red spots on my skin, and large pores. I was amazed that this covered everything! I have to admit my skin sometimes is itchy when I apply the makeup, but it goes away. I've recommended it to all my friends and they're all equally impressed.

I have been using BE since July '04 and will never use any oher make-up. The claims that your skin is improved and you can even sleep in it are absolutely true. While wearing BE, my large pores and oily t-zone are eliminated and my skin looks perfect. Liquid foundations never covered correctly for me. When my BE came in the mail, I put it on immediately and was thrilled with the results. My favorite thing about BE is that it stays on all day. Thank you BE!!

This is a powder. It covers like a powder. It does not cover. It looks better than nothing, but I got better comments when I wore regular foundation than Bare Minerals. It also makes my skin itchy. I still have it and use it on occasion. I've even used the foundation powder over my regular foundation at times. I have very fair skin and the "warmth" looks like dirt on it. I won't buy it again.

For me, BareMinerals is great. I hated the way foundation felt masklike and when it looked "ashy" on my skin(I'm African-American). It's the best $60 I've ever spent! I don't need a lot to cover(I'm 37),and I don't feel as if I have to claw the stuff off my face after an hour. I live where it's pretty humid in the summer, and I still look fresh. I blot my face and it doesn't come off like regular powder. I bought some for my mom for Mother's Day. It can get messy mixing the foundation colors(I suggest putting down a sheet of paper so that the pigments can be tapped back into the jar if it spills). I have no major skin issues(the regular pimple or two), but I haven't had a breakout since using the product. I urge ladies who hate makeup to try it.

I odered this product to use for my wedding. Compared to the makeup artist fee of $150 per person this kit was a deal. I think the coverage is great. I am black with light skin and I have had trouble finding a perfect color match until using bare minerals. It is true that is no line on your chin where the make up stops. It is is important to not use too much or else you will get the caked look. Also you NEED to use a good make up remover and moisturizer or else your face could start breaking out after a while. I have been using this product for a year now without complaint.

This makeup was great at first, but three months later my once blemish free skin is dry, tight and also cover in small pimples. My dermatologist said she has had many other patients who use this product with the same reaction. Be careful! Just because this makeup works well at first doesn't mean it won't ruin your skin.

I have only been using this product for about 3 days now, and so far I love it. I have really oily skin, and when I break out with acne, it is really really red ( I have fair skin and use the fairly light foundation)so far I have been able to disguise my acne with no red showing through! The coverage is just as good as the make up I was use to, only better because it is lighter and doesn't get greasy looking after a couple of hours. It really does feel like I don't have any make up on. I love the brushes, I love the mineral veil, I just love everything about it as of now 3 days into it!

I'm glad I got to test out the Bare Esentials makeup before buying it. It didn't cover well and since it is powder it was hard to use and messy, made my face look dried out, and enhanced the wrinkles. I tried it out with the help of a professional and it still wasn't for me. Maybe for younger people.
