Love it!

I rarely wore makeup before I tried this product because I did not like the sensation of having it on my face. BareMinerals is weightless and comfortable. I am extremely happy with the coverage and ease of application. It is so lightweight that I often forget I am wearing it. I did notice a slight itchy sensation when I first started using the makeup. I believe this was due to my skin not being used to the bristles of the foundation applicator brush and the manner in which it is applied, because after a few days I no longer had the problem. I have dry to normal skin and I apply a moisturizer before using this product. I am very happy with the foundations and eye shadows (dry 'mineral' items). I prefer other brands for mascara. Overall I am very happy with BareMinerals makeup and wear it almost daily.

I have used this for 3 years now, and I have dry skin. It works wonderfully, covers great. I've never had a break out due to it. I used to never wear make-up before because I hated the crean foundations - too cakey. But I love I.D. Minerals, feels like nothing is on!

I have used for ID for about four years and am 39. I have dry skin and it is VERY red. ID evens out my skin tone, is long wearing (I can sleep in it and it is still on in the am!), and natural looking and feeling. If you want a heavy "look" this is not for you. Keep your natural look but a little better. People think I have perfect skin - all my girlfriends, Mom and sister use now too. Te eye make up and liner is also wonderful. I always used pencil liners for the control, but this goes on like a liquid and stays and stays - with control like a pencil. LOVE IT!!! PS the brushes are FABULOUS to!
Not for oily skin!!!

I did but the product with high hopes, but found that if you have oily skin or imperfections, it does not wear well at all. The powder foundation looked pasty and began to look blotchy after one hour. By lunch, I had to wash my face and start all over. I would not recommend this to ladies with oily skin and/or larger pores.

I tried Bare Minerals about 3 years ago, when I was looking for something that would hide my huge pores. This product worked. I do have dry skin, but with the right combination of bare minerals and lotion I have had nothing but success. The redness in my face is toned down without looking like I have lots of makeup on and my overall complextion is better. Also, the crater like pores on my face seem to fade away. I am addicted to Bare Minerals and will never use a cream foundation again!!

Yes I have tried Bare Minerals, and I have not had any acne ever until I tried this brand. I even stopped for a while and tried another brand went back and Here they are again Mr. And Mrs. Pimple. Sorry, wish it worked. Sounds like a great idea.

I love it. I've been using bare essentials now for about 5 years and love every product I've ever bought from them. I sleep in my makeup and never got a blemish from it. I refresh my makeup by putting it over the old and it looks and feels like I'm wearing nothing....buy it!!
Bare Minerals is not for everyone

First off I do not have sensitive skin and have never had an acne problem. Even as a teenage I rarely had acne. I tried Bare Minerals and within a few days my face was breaking out horribly and I had dry skin flakes all over my face. And my skin was very itchy in some spots. I liked how light the product was and it did a good job of covering slight skin discolorations. I am really disappointed in how drying the product was and how it caused me to break out. Especially for the price.

I met a woman who had the most beautiful skin and she told me that she used ID so I was sold. Tho my skin is norm/combo not sensitive I broke out like mad. I have used the product EXACTLY as instructed. That skin revver up is garbage! I've had to start using lovekisskissproactiv! This product is drying. You can feel it tighten on your face. So as far as it being nonclog thats a load of bosh. However it is superior to most other things so I’ve been mixing up a little. I've started using a heavy duty refinisher/moisturizer by estee lauder underneath the bare mins and this helps ALOT. All in all it DOES do what it claims to do. This does lightly airbrush all your flaws but it is also irritating and broke me out. I love it but nothing's perfect. Disappointing.
Not for Oily Skin!

I tried BareMinerals hoping it would work for my sensitive, acne-ridden, oily skin. Pros: My skin did break out less. I noticed that when I used liquid foundations, they cause me to have cystic acne. Cons: I have a very oily T-zone and BareMinerals would look great when I first put it on, but as the day wore on, by 10am my skin was extremely oily again and you could see where the oil took away some of the make-up. Plus, I could not get the desired coverage I wanted without looking like I had too much make-up on. Overall: I think this product only works for people with very minor skin problems and for those who are blessed with neither oily nor dry skin. I am going to try Dermacia next.

I absolutely love Bare Minerals. Its the greatest foundation for me that i have ever used. I have VERY sensitive skin and almost all make up breaks me out or irritates my skin. This does not! In fact it did exactly as they said it improved my skin. Only draw back is it is similar to powder and is rubbed off easily but is a snap to throw back on! I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND THIS!

I was very anxious to try this product and got my mom to try it too. My mom loves it, but I have found it does not work well for me. My skin has broken out considerably since I started using it, and It does not provide the coverage I'd hoped. I do have sensitive skin which is why I thought the makeup would be good for me but it has not worked out that way. I love the way it looks on my mom, I wish it didn't give me the reaction it has.

I have used this prodcut for over 2 years and it covers my roseaca and sensisitive 60 year old skin wondefully. The informercials give you more instruction than the store, but it is worth going there to get the trial makeover.

I have normal/oily skin, am in my mid 30's and really like this product. I've used it for a few yrs and love that I don't break out like I used to. Though I wouldn't advise it over a long period of time, I have slept in this makeup and don't wake up with break outs like I used to. It's very light and doesn't feel like powder or liquid makeup. It requires some touchups throughout the day, but overall I am pleased with the product. I use the foundation, blushes and lip products. Really like them all!

I have been using this product for a little over one year. When I first started using it, I raved about it because I loved and still do love the way it looks on my skin upon application. However, it has an unbelievable drying effect on my oily skin causing extreme flaking sort of like or worse than dermabrasion. No moisturizer seems to help with this problem and it has become worse over time. I have stopped using the product for one week and my skin is still itching and flaking! This is a product that you need to be careful with - no matter how much you like the way it makes you look. If you are considering dermabrasion, you might consider this product as an alternative. Good Luck with it!

I can not believe that people could write in their reviews that bare minerals does not work i am in the beauty industry and have seen transformations after use it is a truly wonderful product and have never experienced break outs of any kind even on the most sensitive of skin i believe people who are dissatisfied do not use it properly

First, I don't see the point of sending different shades, when I only used one. My face felt dry and powder-like. The mineral shine accentuated my pores. It certainly is not cost effective.

My mom was actually the one who bought it first and one day out of curiosity I took a container of concealer from her (hehe she never noticed) and i tried it out. I couldnt believe my own eyes I couldnt even tell I had put make up on it looked soooo natural! and it also felt like i had nothing on. I swore Id never wear that disgusting cakey liquid stuff again... why would you want to feel like you have a mask on ugh FREAKIN GROSS.. any way I LOVE BARE MINERALS!! I have gotten sooo many compliment on my "great skin" hahaha then i tell them the truth and then THEY start using it :)

When I first initially started using the Bare Minerals foundation I was very impressed. Unfortunately, after a couple of weeks my face broke out so badly. I generally have good skin and never in my life has my face looked this bad. If you have sensitive skin I definitely would not recommend this product.

I have been using bare escentuals mineral makeup for 6 years i have fair,ruddy,oily skin prone to breakouts.This is the only brand i have found that works for me and it makes my skin look flawless.you do need to practice the technique since it different than most products. this product may not be perfect for everyone nothing is but it it perfect for me!
