My husband ordered the awsome auger expecting to get (4) tools including the extender and drill. When we received the product it only included the extender and auger. No drill or additional "free" tools. Instead of the one we ordered we got (3) of these plus extra charges and postage and handling for a total of $76.70. We spent a week trying to call customer service and were either hung up on or placed on hold. Finally we reached customer service after being on hold for almost an hour and were told that the advertised items were not included and we would not be receiving the additional tools and the drill. I would rate this item a "0". These folks are a fraud and give the word customer service a bad name. Do not order this product you will be very, very dissappointed. Not worth sending back as you will be throwing good money after bad paying for additional shipping and handling. Very, very bad company to do business with.

Called the company to return it and get my money back and guess what folks they don't give all your money back just a portion. Then to get your some of your money back you have to pay to ship it back. PLEASE folks I begging you we all work hard for our money these people scam you right out of your pay check. I was never told a total or I would have NEVER ordered this product.I can promise you this Billy Mays Hayes and his crew will Never get a good word about their company or their products from me.

Awesome auger is fair. Ad if not read paying attention tends to be misleading. If you really want an awesome auger try item [] on [].

I ordered two of the augers and electric drills. Within 15 minutes after ordering I sent email requesting order be cancelled. Two weeks later, I got answer stating it couldn't be cancelled because it had already shipped. I responded that this was impossible as the infomercial states it would be shipped in six to eight weeks. The 3 and 3 augers and two electric drills arrived yesterday with no 18" power extenders or groud augs. The invoice states P&H for first order is $8.95 and $6.95 each additional set. I was billed $57.80 for P&H plus $34.90 for the rest for a total of $92.70. The augers look like they are made out of cheap aluminum, not stainless steel as advertised.

Ordered the product mid march. Sent e-mail mid may for update, never recieved an answer until july 3rd asking me to provide my information so they could now process order. Purchased a better unit for less through another vender. Recieved the replacement unit in under a week.Found out after the fact while visiting the web and reading the accounts of business with the "Awesome Auger Team" that the shipping and handling costs are deceptive to say the least. These folks are a joke.

I ordered this item from the internet and was charged over $90 for what I thought was a $30 order. The review by Beth below is a total lie, as the website places your order without telling you any costs, and never confirms your order. I suspect [] works for the company, just like the ad from []. This company is a scam, beware.

Product looks cheap (auger & drill). Doesn't look safe to use. Attempts to contact their customer service is a joke. Accidently ordered 2 off their website, beware once they get credit card, as you can make no corrections to order & requests to cancel via email go unanswered. Would not recommend product or the hassel to get it!

I received this product today - there was no extension, connecting pin. I understood that the drill was a Bonus. Wrong! Called Customer Service and asked about missing parts and drill. Considered myself lucky when Sarah explained the extra charges that would have been charged had I received the additional parts. Get serious - is this legal? S & H would have been extremely costly. Could have hired a landscaper for that amount.

I ordered the awesome and ground auger on line. I chose not to purchase the drill or extender. I used this in my garden and it works absolutely great! It powered through hard soil & small tangled tree roots super quick. It's a breeze over using other tools to turn over the soil, weeding, etc. I'm going to buy the 18" power extender. Very easy to use. I'm glad I tried it. It's my #1 tool now.

Even though I read all these negative reviews, I ordered an awesome auger anyway. My yard is hard as a rock and I cannot dig a simple hole with a shovel, so I figured I'd give this gadget a try. It arrived, I hooked it up to one of the drills we already had, and it's awesome. Digs holes with ease, works just like advertised... actually better. I had no problem using it and as with any power tool, you have to be careful with it because it's made to DIG holes and grind thru stuff... so don't aim it at your foot. I have 2 complaints... the shipping was outrageous and it takes quite awhile to be delivered, but as for the way it works, it's great. I got the extentions and attachments, but as for the drill, I did not purchase that (even tho it was free) because we have plenty of drills here at home. I was billed the $19.95 for the auger and the shipping for the auger and attachments, and was informed of my total BEFORE I ordered, so I knew it was going to run around $53.00 which is what my credit card was billed. I did not order it on the phone, I ordered if from the internet. I'm very pleased and if you have hard dirt to dig through, this thing is great.

Received this auger as a gift. Used it once, it broke and cut into several of my toes through heavy boots. This is an extremely dangerous and poorly designed product. And yes, they will be hearing from my attorney!

There is scheming here. The product works, however they mislead with $19.95 ad. They force you to give them your credit card number up front. Then, they scam you with frivilous shipping and handling charges that are out of this world What you think you should get for $19.95 you end up paying around $146 or so dollars, depending on your zip code. This should be reported to the FCC, the BBB, the FBI and the any government agency that is monitoring fraud and schemes. Billy Mayes should be ashamed of the damage this company is doing to his name. I wish I had found this site before I suckered in and bought this piece of junk, which by the way can be bought at a [] for $6. By the time I found out the drill shipping was more than it was worth it was too late. I called to cancel it and still got charged. When I called after I was charged, they told me that I must have called too early the first time because it wasn't in the computer yet. Does anyone know where I can report this? They really need to be put out of business!

This whole thing is a rip off! I was charged almost $30.00 for shipping and handling! Then we didn't get all the product - the 18" extender was not in the box. I have written to the company and am waiting to see what they will do. I tried calling before I wrote to them and kept getting the message to call back. I will be reporting this to the BBB.

This product is a rip off, Big Time! I ordered 2 sets since one was $19.95 and the second one was $14.95. The commercial said it included 2 hole diggers, a weed digger 2 extensions and an electric drill. All for the incredible price of $19.95 + S&H of $8.95 each. When I ordered it was missing the weed auger and the extension and I was build for shipping $57.80. I was able to reach Maria in customer service who told me that ordering the weed auger and the extensions was a bonus for free but there was an additional $7.95 shipping each on top of what I already paid. The $57.80 was charged for S & H because it came with the free electric drill which the $8.95 S & H was did not cover. This is not what the info commercial said and it is not what the order line said. I am sending the whole thing back and plan to dispute the shipping charges on my Amex. Don't be fooled by this scam. Read the other complaints and use common sense. I do plan to file with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney Generals Office.
