Awesome Rip Off

I too got ripped off. I oredered the auger and after a lengthy phone call with of course, NO HUMAN, I never got a total amount that would be charged to me. I understood it was a small S&H charge for all of it, not each individual. Well, after a long wait, I received the auger. I tried it in my flower bed and the drill immediatly started smoking and burned up. What a piece of crap. the auger wouldn't even go into the dirt. My beds are good dirt so it wouldn't take much. DO NOT ORDER THIS, it is a piece of Junk. I wish I would have read all these comments first.

I have never been so disappointed as I am with your company and your products! It sounded like such a good deal on the TV, but I should have known better! I will never do it again, and I doubt I will ever order anything from an infomercial for as long as I live! I ordered your awesome auger for my father-in-law thinking it would help him out, but everything was of such poor quality that he ended up just throwing it away! An extra drill was added to my order (along with your unreasonable shipping and handling fees), and one of your supervisors told me there was nothing that could be done! My credit card was charged $56.80 for what I thought was going to be a $19.95 order (plus shipping & handling), and nobody wants to accept responsibility for any of it! I intend to contact any and everybody who will listen and warn them not to do business with your company! I hope the BBB does something about your practices before too many other people get completely ripped off! Billy Mays should really be ashamed of himself! Did you pay him, or what? I feel like I have been robbed! If only I had had the sense to check these reviews before ordering! I won't be taken again!!

Used the larger Auger for the first time to make some holes, the weld let go!! It is not solid, but welded, and weakly might I add. I didn't even hit any large rocks or roots.

I saw this infomercial on TV. I thought I was ordering one of each piece, but they claim I had ordered two of each piece. I thought I would be charged $36.85 including S&H. It turns out they charged me $73.70 for S&H for a total of $108.60. When I called to complain, they said there is nothing they can do. I asked if I could return the whole shipment, but they said if I did they could only credit me $19.95! They finally, after several calls, agreed to graciously credit me for $15 as a goodwill gesture, ha ha. My credit card company said there is nothing they can do about this. Billy Mays, you are a sorry ass! No more infomercials for me! .
Lied about billing AND it doesn't work

I thought I was ordering an item for $19.99 and then I agreed to pay a few dollars more - like $6 - for faster shipping. They added that total to show $76.00! I sat thru their lengthy automated phone thing (okay, 1st red flag I ignored) that continued to try to sell additional CRAP, after it had my credit card #. I had to stay on the line to keep hitting the button for no. It NEVER gave me a total at the end of the call or let me speak w/a human. When I got it I noticed the total of $76.70! apparently it takes $46.75 to pack and handle this stuff! I verified the charge was that outrageous when I called my bank a few days later. I'm currently waiting for a supervisor to call me back, if you send it back they only refund the $20 for the Far From Awesome Auger. I'm also working w/ my bank to have my debit card credited back. I did try this thing and weeds just wrapped themselves around the auger thing. It's a piece of crap and they unscrupulous business practices they use are just CRAZY!
A Total Rip Off!!!

This product is a Total Ripoff. Thought I was ordering an "awesome" auger. The only awesome thing I received was an awesome ripoff. Can't these people be stopped? Why don't we all file complaints with the consumer protection department of the Attorney General's office in Wisconsin, which is where they are supposed to be located. I am so mad I could spit.

recd. order,(2 Units &augers+ instructions), short one extender rod.called c/s at 1-866-504-7702, spoke to [], item to be shipped 19-09-08. P/H was twice total item price. A bit excessive although I live in Toronto,Canada. Took long time to come from Neehan WIsconsin. Tried unit in packed soil, worked fine, CAUTION, Don't dig to far down on first pass, hold unit as lightly as possible because if it jams on a stone it will twist out off hand with great torque. I wont be able to do a proper rating until next spring due to late arrival. J. S.
Aweful Auger

I had a lot of weeds in my yard this Spring. I started to order an Auger from the infomercial. An automated system kept baiting and switching and I cancelled order right there on the phone. I called numerous times the next week and you can never get through to a person. Six weeks later, They shipped a bunch of thin, light metal pieces that would never work in my hard dirt. They get your credit info up front, so they send product no matter if you cancel. They sent to my husband, who uses a different name. This is identity theft and fraud. I have sent this problem to attorney generals in two states, better business bureaus in three states, credit reporting agencies, and numerous consumer affairs groups. So far, no one is listening to me that I cancelled this and it is ID theft. They charged me $108 for a $20 item, credited me $34 for the product and are still charging me shipping and handling fees. The credit card company says they have tried to handle numerous complaints about this company and don't get anywhere. They make their money off of the S&H fees--not the thin, metal product. Don't purchase anything from these late nite infomercials and perhaps they will stop ripping people off. The credit card company says there are no consumer regulations pertaining to this and the SAS Auger company is within their rights, and this is how they make their money, but they still won't credit me for the S&H charges. Perhaps a consumer campaign needs to be mounted to prevent companies from doing this. Seniors especially would never be able to understand the automated, fast talking and this is a gardening product which mostly seniors would use.

I ordered the 2 augers plus the 18" extender plus the drill. I received 2 augers only and cost me a total of $58.00. When I called customer service, they claimed I did not fill out the form correctly, of which I have a copy of and is correct. This is an absolute rip, and I would sue the blankety-blanks if it was worth my time and money.

I was so irritated with the automated call. I hung up while ordering. They still shipped me the product. And get this. They charged me $132.70 and will only refund me $114.85. I DID NOT WANT THIS PRODUCT BECAUSE THE INFOMERCIAL WAS VERRRRRY PAINFUL. AND THEY CHARGE ME FOR THIS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! BY the way. I think there needs to be negative stars available for the rating here!

This product was nothing but a HUGE SCAM. Auto phone system locks you into a deal you can't get out of, ever! Trying to report them to the Better Business Bureau but no listing for them, go figure. Worst experience with a TV product ever!

I think my title says most of it. It is some cheap metal thrown together in a box. I ordered through the internet thinking that I would be able to see before I submitted my order what it was going to cost me. I could not get through to customer service to cancel. The email I sent to cancel the order came back a week later & of course now I could get through to someone in customer service only to find out my order had been sent already. But I got nothing of what I ordered; no 4 inch auger but 2 orders (only ordered 1) & 2 drills w/ cords, did not order either. Am waiting to see what will be credited because I sent the whole thing back. Once they had my credit card info they sent me whatever they wanted to. My credit card company says they can disput the s&h since they didn't send me anything what I ordered but they must wait to see what is credited first. Billy Mays has lost all credibilty w/ me. I am going to consumer affairs, Better Business Bureau, and everyone I know will hear my complaints. 5 pages of 1 star ratings that's a lot of $$ this company has ripped hard working people like myself & made us leary to try any infomercials any more!!

Trying to order this product from the TV informertial is the worst thing you can ever try. Can never get hold of a person when ordering. I recived a box, I will not open, I'll return. My credit card has been charged $69.00 for something that is advertise at $19.00.

I ordered the $19.99 package thinking that a lot of FREE stuffs (drill, extender) would come with reasonable shipping & handling charges. But reality is it's a scheme to gouge you with outrageous S&H fees! The ordering process is another nerver ending upsales! I finally got the two 1-foot drill-bit like cheap metals that would not worth half the price at []! Let's complaint with BBB about this auger riff-off and even with this cunning Billy Mays.

This looked like a great thing for my 86 year old mother to plant flowers with. Unfortunatly, my 50 year old eyes missed the small print, so what I thought I was spending $40.00 for 2 battery operated drills and the augers, etc., came to $122.00 for 1 plug in drill, and some accessories when the shipping and handling charges were added. This company is so smart, they know that you can't dispute the shipping and handling charges on your credit card! The stuff was just thrown in a box, and one drill was missing. The box for the missing drill was in the big box, but empty. They offered to send another drill for the shipping charges. I said no. They finally credited my card for $25.00. I have never been screwed like this, and have bought quite a few items this way. Never again!

UPDATE: I cancelled my order after 7 weeks (ad promised delivery in 4-6 weeks) but after I CANCELLED they sent it anyway. I refused it at the PO (so I didn't have to pay return shipping but they refused to credit the shipping & Handling and [] won't help me. I understand they as policy ignore order cancEllations so I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. maybe if we all do this it will help other poor suckers.
Terrible Product

This is one the worst product that I have ever purchased. Not only does it not work, I did not get the product that was advertised on TV. The advertising states you get a cordless drill and then you must upgrade to get it. It is very deceiving. When I wanted to return it, I was told that I would only get the initial $19.95 back but not the $36.85 shipping and handling. They should be ashamed of themselves!!
